Ruby Stained Mckee Heart Band Souvenir Sugar Bowl Watkins Glen Ny
Ruby Stained Souvenir sugar bowl that was produced by McKee glass in the pattern of Heart band circa 1897. It is approximately 3.25 inches tall at the handles, and 3.25 inches in diameter and has Souvenir Watkins Glen NY on the front. This piece is in used condition and does have a deep scratch (on back of piece) and about 10% wear to the ruby stain (the clear spots you see are the handles that were applied before the staining), and there is a small chip flake on the foot of the piece, it blends in so well that we can't focus on it to take a picture. There rim does have a manufacturer defect that looked like the glass while hot was touched by something making a slight indent in two places and a slight rise in another , and being this was only a souvenir piece they just ruby stained over them. Even so this is a very pretty piece and most of the defects aren't readily seen.
