Illinois is one of the States patterns made by US Glass c. 1897. A vast number of shapes were produced in this pattern, from lamps to ice cream trays. An irridized toothpick holder done in the holly Band pattern by the Summit Art Glass Co. This milk glass toothpick holder stands 2.25 in. tall and measures 2.75 in. diameter at the top. In like new, damage free condition. Summit Art Glass is now closed so this item has become very collectible.

Measuring 2 h x 2 across, this Victorian toothpick features the head of a horse surrounded by a dotted circle. The pattern appears on both sides and is separated by a vertical line ending with a diamond at both ends. There are 2 enclosed unbroken bubbles on the rim. It is slightly tipped on the stem. Made by the Steimer Glass Co., Buckhannon. WV, c. 1906 and the Union Stopper Company, Morgantown, WV which acquired Steimer's molds c. 1906-1912. A series of honeycombs outlined in sawtooth makes up the pattern. Just shy of 2 high x 2 wide. Nice visual proportions on this toothpick. Excellent condition.
