West Virginia Glass

This is a cute red, crackle vase/bottle manufactured by Rainbow Glass Co. They are part of the famous West Virginia Glass makers. This vase does NOT have its sticker. I know that it is Rainbow glass because I purchased this, and another with a sticker, from the same estate. It is in excellent, used condition. The sides are pinched. This is a nice, red, Rainbow Glass bottle. Rainbow Glass is one of the companies that is considered part of the famous West Virginia glass manufacturers. It looks like it would be used for perfume or bath salts. It is in excellent, used condition. It is 10.75 inches tall X 3.25 inches in diameter. I am attaching pictures. Kanawha cased satin glass melon-ribbed pitcher. Pretty, two-tone amber satin glass with white interior, flared rim and applied handle. The upper portion of the pitcher, from the ringed neck and up, is yellow amber, while the body and handle appear to be more of a honey amber. Beautiful piece of art glass! Made in USA. Circa: 1950's - 1980's. Size: 5 1/8 inches tall. Condition: Excellent.

Striking longstem bud vase by Viking, in cabbage leaf design, c. 1979. 3 inches by 15. No Viking sticker. Swung vase of amberina cased glass, clear base, clear top edge. Mint condition.

Pitcher by Kanawha, with original sticker. 3 inches x 5.25 in mint condition. Glossy blue over white glass with blue handle. Very slightly ribbed at mid-section.

Lovely little vase by Pilgrim Glass in crackle amberina. Made 1986. 2.5 inches x 5, in mint condition. Three-way spout top. Photos don't capture the beautiful color.

Another cylindrical weight with globe top, this one 2.5 inches x 4.5, and with a 3/4 inch core of Blenko's olive glass, bound with ring of spiral elongated bubbles in clear glass. Made early to mid 1970's, #68D in Blenko catalogs. Excellent condition except for minor scratches on top, as seen in photo. See also PW151 and PW065.

Cylindrical paperweight with globe top, #68D in Blenko catalogs, early to mid-1970's. Clear glass over 3/4 inch turquoise blue core wound with spiral bubbles. See also PW152 and PW065. 2.375 inches x 4 inches, in mint condition.

From 1980, this tall bud vase (13.5 inches by 2.5) is in Epic Olive Green Satin. 6-petal base.

This large vase is Blenko's pattern #8016L in Wheat. Measuring over 12 tall x 8 in diameter, it has the Blenko hand sticker on it still. No chips or cracks in this impressively-sized vase.

This is a wonderful pitcher and glass set from the West Virginia Glass Company. Some people call this style frost nip. This set includes a pitcher and four glasses. The pitcher is frosted with an avocado green. There is one pink, one blue and two white frosted glasses. The pitcher is approximately 11 ½ inches tall. The glasses are 5 ¼ inches tall. All five pieces are undamaged and even the gold trim is in excellent shape.

This lovely little basket has a shiny amberina case over a thin milk glass interior, with an amber handle, standing 5 1/2 high.

What could be more elegant at your New Year's Celebration than this set of 6 blown glass top hat and cane shot glasses? Simply decorated with a stripe of blue and yellow enamel on each glass and matching cane. The glass stands 2 1/4 high, has a base of 1 1/4 and is 2 3/4 x 2 at the top The canes are 6 long. We cannot tell you who made this great vintage set, but it could be Duncan Miller, Cambridge, or any other of the top Elegant Glass houses of the 1930's-1950's. Each glass and cane is perfect..no chips or cracks, the only apology is the wear on the enamel decoration on some of the pieces. So whenever you have an occasion to toast, you're ready!
