Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1917-40's
Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: HENRY DISSTON & SONS
Offering this very nice clean 10 TPI straight-back saw with no visible etching, but has the "H. Disston & Sons Philada."brass medallion. The blade on this saw is only 20" long. As you can see in the picture of the handle, it has been redone with new varnish sometime over the years, for display by the past owner, who was a third generation carpenter. The appears to have been a chip off the upper handle ear that was patched (a fairly nice job overall, just a different color shade). It is a very sharp saw, some minor pitting noted, on all the blade for the most part. The blade is fairly straight (for display or use). Overall length is 23" including the handle. A nice, clean old saw!
