Circa: 1930's-40's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Hibbard, Spencer, & Barlett Co.
This is a very nice 26" long blade, 5-1/2 point rip hand-saw marked, "HIBBARD, SPENCER, & BARTLETT CO. OVB OUR VERY BEST NO. 82" etched on the blade, and the nickel plated medallion on the handle is also marked "OVB H.S.B. & CO CHICAGO". Nice clean applewood handle with some wear, solid, not cracked, not chipped, just some minor dings and scratches, and some staining. The nickel plated hardware appears to be in very good condition. The blade is straight, very near perfect cutting condition, very sharp, with light staining, not rusty or rust damage, no missing teeth. A very good quality saw from the 1940's era.
A nice clean old saw in good, usable condition!
