This pretty beaded mercury glass Christmas garland is made up of plain round silver beads with elongated center ribbed diamond beads in red, blue, pink, and chartreuse. It measures 94 inches, just 2 inches shy of 8 feet (measurement is for beads only, not extra string). Two of the small silver beads have chips, all others are in excellent condition, still shiny with little to no finish wear or silvering loss. Paper star and wire stoppers are present at both ends.
Cobalt Blue Beaded Mercury Glass Christmas Garland 8 Feet
This vintage Japan mercury glass Christmas bead garland is in a hard to find deep cobalt blue color. It's 8 feet long (97 inches measuring beads only, not excess string) and is made of single beads about 1/2 inch diameter or 14mm. The coloring is excellent, and unfortunately my pictures don't show the depth and intensity. They're darker than the photos, and have a some color shading from bead to bead, some almost iridescent, others dark and reflective, still others nearly transparent deep blue, all from the natural degradation of the inner mercury silvering. There is absolutely no peeling or flaking of the color though. The ends have no stoppers or wires, indicating the strand may have been broken or restrung at some point. One bead has a small hole in the side, all others are fine with no chips or breaks.
Multi Color Mercury Glass Beaded Christmas Tree Garland
Just over 8-1/2 feet (97 inches) of pretty multi-colored red, blue, pink green, gold, and silver vintage mercury glass bead garland. It's made up of 1/4 inch diameter double beads strung on cotton cording with foiled cardboard and wire end stoppers. count only four chipped beads. There is some expected deterioration of the inner mercury silvering resulting in a few near-transparent or pearly spots but the overall coloring and condition is still remarkably good.
1950s Gold Glass Bead Christmas Garland Mint In Package 9 Feet
This 9 foot long glass bead Christmas tree garland is mint and unused in its original sealed package, made in Japan in the 1950s. The single beads are about 1/4 inch diameter (6.35 mm). Some have a frosty appearance to the finish from age deterioration of the inner silvering which gives the garland a slightly shaded, antique appearance. I see a few tiny glass chips at the bottom of the bag, not many.
1950s Green Glass Bead Christmas Garland Mint In Package 9 Feet
This 9 foot long glass bead Christmas tree garland is mint and unused in its original sealed package, made in Japan in the 1950s. The small single beads are about 3/16th of an inch diameter roughly 4.5 mm). There are no broken or chipped beads that I can see, and no glass shards in the bottom of the bag.
Three unused boxes of vintage metallic silver Christmas tinsel garland, made by Doubl Glo Paper Novelty in the 1960s. Very light and feathery, the tinsel has a twisted cotton string core and is about 1-14 inches wide. Each box contains 18 feet or 6 yards, for a total of 18 yards (54 feet). Slight storage wear to the boxes, otherwise mint and unused. Price is for the set of three packages.
Red Mercury Glass Beaded Christmas Garland With Bells
Just over 8 feet long (98 inches), this 1950s Japan Christmas tree garland has bright red mercury glass beads and thin hard plastic bells which are glittered at the rims. The 21 bells are spaced about 4-1/2 to 5 inches apart, closer together at one end. The garland is in very nice vintage condition with the original wired cardboard end stoppers.
Magenta Pink Mercury Glass Christmas Bead Garland In Wrapper
This vintage 6 foot mercury glass Christmas bead garland is a bright magenta pink. The single beads are fairly small, about 1/4 inch long. It comes in its original wax paper wrapper which reads Brilliant Sparkling Christmas Tree Garland. The wrapper band is very old, brittle wax paper which tore when I took the pictures so I taped it closed. There are no holes or broken beads that I noticed. Age has caused some natural degradation of the inner silvering, creating a shaded effect to the beads, and there is slight finish wear to the color.
This vintage Japan mercury glass Christmas bead garland is made up of individual larger bright red beads that are 1/2 inch diameter. It measures 58 inches or just under 5 feet long - the measurement is for the beads only, not extra string. There are no broken beads, but there is some minor color shading of the red finish. One end has been tied off, the other has a wired cardboard stopper.
Christmas Mercury Glass Bead Garland Mostly Green Mixed Beads
About 3 feet of pretty mercury glass Christmas bead garland, made of random sizes of double piked round, elongated or tubular, and little lobed melon beads from Germany and Japan. They're mostly green with some silver, gold, blue, and red, and have been strung only metallic gold cord by the previous owner. One green bead at an end has a chip in the side, the others have no damage. Some of the beads, particularly the silver ones, have lost their inner silvering due to natural age deterioration.
Large Bead Multicolor Mercury Glass Christmas Garland
More than seven feet (88 inches) of vintage single bead multi-colored mercury glass Christmas garland. The colors are red, green blue, gold, and silver. The beads are larger in size, 11 mm or just under a half inch diameter. I found only one bead with a break in the side, though most have some age appropriate wear to the color finish and some have deterioration to the inner silvering.

A pretty light blue (almost turquoise but not quite) vintage beaded mercury glass Christmas tree garland, 94 inches or just shy of 8 feet long. The measurement is for beads only, not extra string. The coloring is very pretty, with some of the beads taking on a transparent blue appearance due to natural degradation of the inner mercury silvering, others metallic bright and reflective. The individual beads are small, less than 1/4 diameter. I noted only two chipped beads, but the string has a couple of knots with some extra string and no stoppers.

Package Blue Satin Ball And Gold Tinsel Christmas Garland
This vintage package of Christmas tree garland is made up of fifteen 1-1/4 inch satin covered balls in an alternating solid blue and blue and white striped candy cane design, each separated by feather gold tinsel roping. It's mint and sealed in its original package so I don't know how long it is, but it should be a minimum of 8 feet, likely more. Made in Taiwan in the 1970s to early 1980s.

Red Faceted Mercury Glass Beaded Christmas Garland
107 inches, just 1 inch shy of 9 feet of 1940s - 1950s Japan pretty mercury glass Christmas tree bead garland. The strand is made up of red faceted 3/8 diameter beads with a diamond waffle pattern. Only one bead has a break, all others are complete and intact. There is some light wear to some of the red finish, an area of darkening due to inner silvering loss, and a little old snow flocking on a few beads, otherwise the garland is in good vintage condition.
This short length of antique Germany mercury glass bead Christmas tree garland has a red silk cord tassel at one end and a hook on the other. It can hang from a mirror, in a window, or be looped over the branches of the Christmas tree. It measures about 28 inches long and has 11 elongated double pike long drop or icicle shape ornaments or beads in silver, pink, and one clear glass. One silver bead has a deep pike chip at one end and there is some finish wear as shown. The bead at the 12 o clock position in the second photo has a spot of finish wear and discoloration from candle scorching but is not cracked, chipped, or broken. Individual bead lengths vary from 1-3/4 to 3 inches long.
Antique Christmas Tinsel Garland With Glass Star Ornaments
This pretty antique Christmas garland is made of gold feather tinsel roping with small blown glass puffy star feather tree ornaments spaced along its more than 8 foot length. The fine, feathery gold tinsel garland has a twisted cotton cord core. It's about 1/2 inch diameter though it was probably wider when new - the metallic fibers have flattened and curled some with age. There are six silvered German red and yellow ribbed thin glass stars, about 1-1/2 diameter. Some have some damage - a couple with chipped pikes and two with side holes to which I've applied clear nail polish coating to strengthen and prevent further breakage. One ornament may need some neck repair to hang safely. You can easily remove them from the garland to hang on your Christmas tree if desired.
Occupied Japan Christmas Roping Garland With Glass Ornaments Unused
This bundled package of Decorative Christmas Roping is unused and still in its original paper wrapper marked Made In Occupied Japan, dating from 1946 to 1951. The red and green roping or garland has the appearance of thick chenille, but it's made of Visca or some other type of brushy paper or sisal material. I don't know how long it is, the package has no size indication and I'm unwilling to open it to find out. The red is about 3/4 diameter, the green is a little thinner. There are nine multi-colored mercury glass miniature Christmas ornaments attached to the green lower loops. The upper red loops have silver beads strung onto the roping in a series of 3. The ornaments have some slight age wear but no damage and the roping has obviously never been used.
