This white demitasse set has six cups and saucers that have been handpainted in shades of blue, silver and gold. Each piece has a gold backstamp with the number 120 and gold trim at the rim. Each cup and saucer is also signed by the artist with what may be an oriental character or may be the initials KJ. The painting is raised and the flower centers have individual dots of paint. The deep blue gray contrasts beautifully with the lighter shades of silver and gold. The cups are 2.25 tall and the saucers are 4.25 in diameter. Footed Lipped Comport, Paneled Grape, Westmoreland. This milk glass comport has a traditional design of grapes and leaves and was produced by Westmoreland Glass between 1940 and 1984. The compote has a round base and a six-panel pedestal rising into an eighteen paneled body. The grape motif is clear and crisp and appears three times on the outside of the comport. The lip is ruffled and paneled as well. This lovely comport or centerpiece would be at home in a classic setting as well as a beach-themed or shabby chic room. Balmoral China Swan with Sculpted Roses, Staffordshire England. This porcelain swan figurine was made in Staffordshire, England by Balmoral China and features three hand painted yellow roses nestled together on its back. They are surrounded by delicate green leaves. It is quite heavy for its size, which is only 3 tall and wide. In excellent with each of its capo di monte style flowers intact. Crystal Relish Tray, Floral and Clover Embossed Design. A lovely smaller relish tray with three equal sections, each having four lobes decorated with flowers and clover or shamrocks. Measuring 9 in diameter, this serving dish has a flat base that rises slightly to create a scalloped ring around the center, while 12 more scallops grace the edge of the plate. In excellent condition with no flaws noted, this relish tray has a silky feel to the glass and was proably made by a studio like Shannon by Godinger or Gorham Crystal. Purple Iris Bowl, Printemps by Toscany China. A really lovely curved bowl by Toscany China produced in the late 20th century. Measuring 11 by 7 and about 2.5 in height, this white china bowl has a purple iris and buds offset by blue-gray leaves. White China Bell with Flowers and Butterflies, Ardalt. This petite bone china bell has a heart shaped handle, a ceramic ball clapper and scalloped sides. The multicolor floral design contains blue, gold and red flowers offset with green and gold leaves. Similarly colored butterflies appear on the neck and on one of the sides of the bell. This clear glass relish tray and bowl have a sandwich style pattern called American Concord which was produced by Brockway Glass in the 1970s. The plate is 11.5 in diameter with a 4.25 center compartment. It has four inner sections for crudites or relishes plus a center well that holds a bowl for dips. There are also four outer compartments that will hold a total of 16 deviled eggs. The 5 companion bowl is 2 deep and sports the same pattern of medallions and fleurs de lis against a stippled background. Brown Glazed Egg Plate with Engraved Chicken. This mid-century egg plate has an incised hen in the center medallion. It will hold a fifteen devilled eggs and has a diameter of 10.5 . It has five small feet on the bottom and is marked S29. This California Pottery egg dish with its shiny brown glaze is in very good condition, with a single glaze skip in the center that won't affect its usefulness at all. Salt and Pepper Shakers, Royal Stuart Blue Cornflower. This set of fine white china salt and pepper shakers features a bright blue cornflower design offset by brown and green leaves. Both shakers are generously trimmed with gold, including a gold backstamp ROYAL STUART BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND, RS 963. The Royal Stuart Company is also known as SPENCER STEVENSON CO. These cone shaped shakers stand 5.5 tall and have the original stoppers, though one is loose and we will replace them both if you wish. The shakers have 2 round bases and are in fine condition. The pepper shaker has a small manufacturing flaw at its base, where the glaze is crusty because the item sat too close to another piece in the kiln. This flaw is barely noticeable, and there are no chips, nicks or discoloration on either shaker. What a great inexpensive way to spice up your favorite white china! Floral Plates from Italy, Hand Painted Set of 5. This set of five handpainted plates with different floral designs is marked 140 ITALY. Each plate has four flowers in shades of blue, yellow and pink, with green stems and leaves. The designs are carved out and shown in low relief. From the color behind the glaze and the the color of the dry foot, these appear to be redware. Vintage is unknown but all of these 8 plates are in excellent condition with no flaws noted. Oval Trinket Box, Multifloral on White Porcelain, KPM. This elegant oval trinket box has a multicolor floral decal that graces its lid and sides as well as the inside of the box. The center flower is a bright pink rose and it is surrounded by purple iris and zinnias, orange zinnias, and tiny blue, yellow and orange florets. The deep green accents on the leaves and abstract gold decorations complete the design. Measuring 4 long by 2.75 wide and 1.75 high, it is marked KPM, a mark once used by Krister Porzellan Manufaktur and more recently (after WW II) by Fabryka Porzelany Krzysztof. This is the annual Wedgwood, England Mother Day Plate for 1982 made of blue jasper or jasperware with an applied white jasper bas relief design of cherubs with a swing and a dog. The Mothers Day or Mothering Sunday plate measures 6.5 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition and is in the original box with the leaflet. The box shows a bit of wear but the plate is perfect! A wonderful gift for Mum!
