Very large vintage basket. This looks like a Montaigne Native American basket but it could be from another North American tribe. It has darkened with age; it probably once had more vivid colors on it. It stands 13 inches tall up to top center area; or 18 inches up to handle. The handle stands as is, it is not moveable. The overall condition is good. There is one fiber on the top finial area that is frayed and one fiber sticking out on the center band that circles the basket center, but that looks like where the fiber wrap ends and doesn't look like a broken fiber.
