This mourning pin is definitely of the Victorian period - see back image. Deeply carved flowers and leaves adorn the front and there is even fine textured background. Measure 1 7/8 x 1 3/8 - really nice. Probably bog oak

Late 1800s unmarked silver, probably 800 silver content, has been designed in two layers with unusual construction which I've tried to show in pictures. Upper layer has openwork, engraving and cobalt blue enamel in the shape of 4 conjoined ovals. Base layer is scalloped with each section having cobalt blue enamel outlining a pair of engraved silver wings. Details designs cover the entire piece. This Victorian, 1800s silver and enamel brooch is in excellent, original and unpolished condition with original, long pinback and older style 'C' clasp. There is a small loop on the back but I have idea what it might be for. Unusual, striking brooch, possibly British or European. Size: 2 inches across x 1/4 inch deep.
Textured Goldtone Retro Bow Brooch With Multi-color Rhinestones
Retro stamped goldtone bow brooch has soft textured finish accented with jewel-tone rhinestones in the knot and dangling ribbon. This retro bow brooch is in very good, original condition with a safety pin clasp. Slight glue residue on a couple of rhinestones, but does not detract. Size: 3 1/8 x 1 1/4 inches
This beautiful Victorian bracelet is identified in one of Jeanne Bell's books - and priced considerably higher. I just like the look and have seen it with an ivory background - both black and ivory are celluloid on a brass mesh base. Made for a Victorian wrist too - 2 1/4 x 1 7/8 oval. leaves seem to be gold rather than goldfilled - all pearls are present. Box clasp works well.
BEAUTIFUL HIGH QUALITY FIGURAL BROOCH, DEPICTING PRETTY, SILVER TONE GAZELLE, THIS BROOCH IS NOT MARKED,IN EXCELLENT - MINT CONDITION, MEASURING ABOUT 3 inch x 1 3/4, Buyer pays for shipping plus insurance, Thank You.
Brass and turquoise glass necklace is most likely a Czech piece, based on the style. Prong-set turquoise glass, faceted squares alternate with graceful, openwork brass fans. This vintage Czech glass and brass necklace is in very good, vintage condition with a spring-ring clasp. I believe the gilt finish has worn down to the brass, but it still looks great. Size: centerpiece 5 1/4 x 1/2 inches. Neckline is 20 inches.
Impresive size, this Victorian necklace, (1 1/4 x 7/8 inch), and it has lovely embossing on both sides, flowers on back and reposse with black highlights(basse-taille?)on front. A little of the black is worn on hinged side where it would be held when opening. Also, an intial A is detectable on this side, maybe even JEA - hard to read. But I like the other side just as well if your the initials don't match yours. Some parts are gold for sure, some probably goldfilled.
Think Valentine with this little etched heart pin of marked 830 and something X . Fron is rosy goldfill and it has a symbol too, but I can't figure it out - maybe a violet?. 1 1/4 x 3/4 inch with C clash and tube hinge.
I suppose this could be called a mourning pin with its black enamel though maybe not with the half-pearls. It is almost 2 inches long, has a safety pin clasp and is in very good condition.
Beautiful 10kt yellow gold Victorain horseshoe and four leaf clover pin. The horeseshoe has seven seed pearls set in and the four leaf clover is green enamel with one seed pearl in the center. About one inch in diameter and in excellent condition.
Traditional Victorian bookchain necklace has spring clasp in front so you can change the pendant. This is the original pendant though, with matching links from which hangs an elegant cross with a tiny black stone. Goldfill is amazingly well preserved, especially on the 17 inch chain. Cross (2 inch)drop shows a little wear, especially on the back.
Very old goldfilled or rolled gold Victorian pin, oval, 1 1/8 across with textured petals falling from a bezel or collet displaying a quarter inch red cabochon stone. It's ruby, garnet or glass, installed with a rivet to the back. Back shows very little wear except where it would be held. There in a ring for hanging it from your bookchain necklace and a tube hinge with long pin if you prefer.

Wonderful hand painted water lilies scene brooch on oval porcelain. Has the typical victorian c-clasp and a brass plate on the back. Does have a mark in front, but can not make it out. In excellent condition.
I am not the gushy type but this little sterling pin IS adorable. Only a little over an inch wide but a real eye-catcher. Yes, it is sterling though too old to be marked and handmade. The dainty blue and white enamel shows very little wear and pearls are in good shape too. Stabbed with a pin? I don't know if that is original or not but it is soldered in and it does add to the charm. Sturdy C clasp and wire reinforcement in the back. Definitely one of a kind.
There is gold there, rolled and maybe more, on this Victorian pin of 1 1/2 x 1 1/8. It loaded with symbols - gold star, silver crescent, scallops, amethyst and all in the shape of a .....mushroom?? Amethest has 6 prongs - well-made and I vote handmade. Classy chain and safety pin. Sturdy C clasp. Rare quality and condition.
Double symbolism here. A rolled gold crescent within a textured antique gold crescent topped with gold stars. Then, another star appears in the center with a sparkly 5 prongset jewel, not tested. C clasp, pin on chain.
A delicate and lovely accent pin with a center rhinestone circled by tiny grey stones nestled in the curve of a crescent. All stones are prong set. Lovely work, lovely pin. C clasp. SIZE: 1 3/4 x 5/8
1896 Victorian Silver Plated Stick Pin Initialed Hs As
1896 Victorian Silver Plated Stick Pin Initialed HS AS Tiny, intricate, openwork pin with a Script initials AS or HS (could be for a name or a school or Special Society group). The bow at the base of the letters is engraved 96. I believe it is silver plated. Unmarked. Measures 9/16 inch wide X 2 5/8 inches long. A lovely addition to a vintage jewelry, stickpin or hatpin collection.
I have never seen a portrait pin quite like this - Heroic Roman soldier handpainted on china on the front and hair on the back. Better than that, it hangs in the outer circle and can be turned so hair can be worn to the front. May have been goldfilled but it is down to nice brass. Pin back has been replaced or repaired with a bent pin into C clasp. Works - but not original. This has been considered in pricing.
The small stone is either a ruby or a garnet or a good imitation and it is held by 8 prongs. Rolled gold bookchain totals 17 inches and attaches with springclasp at the front (see closeup). Medallion is 1 3/4 x 3/4 and also rolled gold. The 2 dangling pieces look like they were put on backwards so more decorative pattern of chain is at the back - it could be fixed but I am not about to try it with my hand in a cast. Maybe it was meant to be that way but I did consider it in pricing. Very good condition considering age. No cover on back but know sign that there was suppose to be on.
Elegant, early 1900s, unmarked silver bar pin with excellent, openwork and 5 oxblood coral, bezel-set cabochons in graduated sizes. Although unmarked, pin is probably either sterling or 800 silver and is in excellent and unpolished condition with great patina. Older style secure safety clasp. Elegance of an earlier age.
This small onyx brooch is a 6 pointed star. There is a small pearl, surrounded by 6 diamond shape points of onyx. Each is held by gold bezels. The C clasp is gold, the pin part is not. This brooch is a very low Karat gold with possibly some rolled gold also used. At just 3/4 diameter, this little pin has a lot of impact.
Gather up your posies and scrunch the stems into this bow-shaped sterling pin. The long poker will hold them there while you pin it to your coat and it is much more attractive than a long pin with a pink plastic head! This one is shaped a bit different from other - more rounded. To see others, check # 6012, 9381, 9205, and 7742, all in the Victorian category.
Yes, it is gold but I don't know if it is 14K or 12K though I would guess 14K. It's small and dainty with a C clasp and hook for a watch and the tassel is darling. Very good condition.
Very heavy cast metal goldplated sash pin with twisted rope border enclosing a lion hiding in the grass out hunting. If you look very closely on the right, you can just make out a pair of zebras hiding. Very dimensional and detailed. This vintage sash pin is in very good vintage and unpolished condition with slight plating wear appropriate to its age, dating to the 1930s. It has a secure safety clasp, 3 x 2 1/4 inches
Gorgeous Vintage Brooch Bow W/ Black Center Stone Free Shipping
Featured for your enjoyment is a lovely old brooch. This is cast to look like a bow with a black as coal center stone set in. It looks like it has white stones on the sides, these are really metal cast to give that affect! They are even cast to look like a cut diamond! The center stone is glued in. I do like the colors and the shape of the stone. Lovely item measuring 2 1/4' long by about 3/8 wide. Free Shipping within the United States.
fantastic 22inch length in about mint condition with black enamel decorated goldfilled findings, all original, can easily be worn as a necklace. This is the longest multi strand hair chain I have seen in 30 years. Part of the mourning jewelry craze of the 1800's, the condition of this is also the best of the best.
Intresting clasp fits a double cone into ring - and it stays! 2 1/4 inch ( little smaller than average of 2 1/2) oval opening and you sort of roll it on to your wrist. Balls have Etruscan type decoration. Goldfill shows wear on bottom where it would rub. Top with decorations looks good but not like new. Tiny ring on one side probably held guard chain but I can't see where it would have attached to other side.
1'' dia gold locket with 4'' chain, opens to reveal a photographic quality post mortem pose of an infant, image was removed to examine and is on paper but appears under high magnification to be drawn by hand, no identifying marks, metal assayed to be 14k
Lovely little Victorian brooch in brass and paste: what the Victorians called rhinestones. The rhinestones are not the clear clear white ones we see today: they are greyed out a bit, but still sparkle. The center stone may be turquoise but it is glass. c clasp and the pin stem is a bit bent. SIZE: 7/8
Elegant, delicate lavalier style necklace, probably late Victorian era, with an elegant pendant having a central floral design with scrolled elements overall. It is on a fine chain marked as gold-filled with the letters TK. This lavalier necklace is in excellent, original condition with fine chain having an old style pressure clasp. Pendant is 3/8 x 1 1/8 inches and the chain is 18 inches long.

Wow! They did a lot better with coursage pins in the olden days. This elegant pin, marked 950 sterling (English? or French?), is curved out to accommodate stems, has pokers to hold them and a latch to close over them. Then the bouquet is pinned to the dress or jacket. It makes an unusual pin all by itself too - maybe with a fat ribbon? I couldn't have guessed what it was if I hadn't found bow shaped pins (see # 6012) in a Victorian jewelry book.
This is an unusual pair of holloware brooches with an interesting, soft bronzy finish, and a domed center. The repousse designs are classic Art Nouveau with foliate, leafy and fruit designs. The backs are flat and each has an applied loop for hanging pieces--possible a chatelaine. These two Art Nouveau pins are in excellent original and unpolished condition. The only difference I can see is that one brooch has a safety clasp and the other a simple 'C' clasp. Pins are 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 3/8 inches deep. Wear them signly or as a pair to suit yourself.
Pair of vintage brooches in the shape of two leaves on stems with a blue stone prong set in each leaf. There is a mark on an applied plate on the back, but it is completely illegible. Leaves are nicely detailed with brushed gold finish and bright goldtone edges. These leaf pins iar in very good, original and unpolished condition with slight wear to the finish on the stems. Each pin has an early 'C' clasp and measures 1 3/4 x 1 1/4 inches. Wear them singly or together.
I think this old goldfilled anchor (1 1/2 inches), with barbed ends, is very well done but not being much of a sailor, I have no idea what the swinging bar is. There are a couple of pinpoint dents in the anchor and a bit of the gold worn off on the base on the back but otherwise, very good antique condition. Chain added.
carved mother of pearl pendant, carved with a bearded warrior carrying spear and has a young girl under his arm, fine condition May have been a watch fob, no markings
Victorian Dragons Large Brooch With Fine Engraving
This is a simply stunning Victorian era sash pin, made in 10 separate pieces, 4 stylized arrows, 2 large and 2 small rounds and 2 ovals in silver-washed brass. Each piece is very finely engraved: the arrows with foliate designs with a tiny, bezel set turquoise bead; the ovals are set with two high-mounted, bezel set topaz faceted ovals and the rounds with spectacular winged, fierce dragons. An amazing piece of work! This Victorian dragon sash pin is in very good, vintage condition with some loss to the silver wash where the brass shows through--it does not detract in the least from the beauty of this piece. The pin has an old style 'C' clasp and the different pieces are connected with oval tabs. There is significant tarnish to the back but I have not attempted to polish it, preferring original condition. Size is 4 x 2 7/8 inches and is lightly domed.
Vintage Sash Pin In Silvery Metal With Foliate Engraving
This early 1900s sash pin has been made to look like a buckle when worn, and is a silvery metal. The pin has all-over engraving of foliate designs, reminiscent of the Art Nouveau period.' This vintage sash pin is in very good, vintage and unpolished condition with very slight tarnish. It has an old-style 'C' clasp and measures 2 7/8 x 2 inches.
Art Deco Pin. Nice pin measures 1 1/4 long by 7/8 wide with a dark yellow/gold stone. Has original C clasp. I have not cleaned this piece and have left it alone, although it could be worn as is. Condtion is excellent.
I didn't know what this bow shaped pin was until I found it in a very old book. Yes, it is pre-corsage pin. Gather you little bouquet, maybe wrap the stems and then jam the big poker through the base and pin to your coat. Not marked but sterling with pretty Art Nouveau vines, C clasp. See more corsage pins: #6012, 7742 and 9205.
This precious little Victorian basket with woven sterling is overflowing with real amber as grapes. Even has sterling leaves and vines. It has a bail to be worn as a necklace (1 1/2 inches) but it could also star in a sterling miniature collection. Detail is amazing. See several images including closeup of amber.
