It does have vent holes on the top panel. I thought it would make a very cute display cabinet, (you could rebursish it, paint & stencil, and add an extra shelf inside if you're handy). Cute to display old chocolate molds, toothpick holders, s&p shakers, etc. It is free-standing or can be hung on the wall, (has hanging holes on backside). It stands 14.25 tall x 13.25 wide x 4 deep. They have button eyes and White Sun Bonnets and ruffled Pinafore dresses with orange polka dots. The polka dots are cold painted and not under glaze. Embossed Textured basketweave background and arms. Lid is a ruffled bonnet with a Gal as the knob. Measures approx 4 1/2 inches diameter X 6 1/4 inches to top of knob. No cracks. There is a 1/4 X 1/8 inch chip at the very base of the jar. (See Photo). This ceramic jar is hand made. Incised in bottom under glaze is Melanie 1981. It is probably a unique one-of-a-kind jar. -

All the smaller containers stack into the big one, including the lids too! The largest is 7 tall x 6 wide. All are in what I consider good vintage condition; my guess on the age is 1960's-70's. All have eagles and stars on them and it has nice tight dove-tailed corners. Bottoms are marked with two labels: A Gailcraft Product, Craftmanship in Fine Wood, something LTD, Japan; foil label reads: A Gailcraft Product Japan. You also get the spice jar set w/12 jars. (jars need to be cleaned). The rack is free-standing or can be hung via the metal clips on the backside. It is 11.5 long x 6.5 tall. Has a shield and eagle emblem on it. You can paint the rack or leave as is, good condition on the wood rack. Age est: 1960's. -
