This Beautiful Glass Shade is quite heavy so I believe it belonged to a Floor lamp,or Wall Sconce,rather than a Chandelier, even sitting with the Bell up.Its just too Heavy. Etching of Flowers and Leaves around Bell Skirt, Diamonds in the middle section going up,and finally indented Chain Links which makes me believe it could be closer to 1870-1925, when the chain Link motif was very popular as was this type of etching. Oh,it shines like Diamonds when lighted but impossible to take a photo with all that glare! At any rate, the fitter is an uncommon size - 2 inches outside edge to outside edge,(the bottom is unpolished) so you probably can use it for a Floor lamp best,or Wall Sconce. 1930s 1940s Vintage Standard Porcelain Bulb Socket Lighting Replacement great for bedroom, bathroom or hall. Looks like Bakelite, but a test with Simi Chrome did not show yellow, so we are uncertain. Is marked Made in U.S.A. on backside. Porcelain sockets are marked Woodwin 422 and accept standard bulbs. Wires are cloth bound and it probably should be re-wired for safety. Comes with threaded post and mounting bar, but no screws. Measures 10 3/4 inches long X 4 1/2 inches wide. Gently Used. The plastic is mostly shiny, with some wear and soil mostly to the cups which hold the bulbs, which shows rubs and soil discoloration. Finial Knob also shows some soil and a couple 1/16 to 1/8 inch dark scratch lines. I don't think any of this will show from the ceiling. It is a really nice looking vintage fixture. The lighter colored photo is not accurate coloring. Price is for one.
