I have never seen anything quite like this so bear with me... Measuring about 8 1/4 long, this mechanical pencil appears to be a salesman's sample or store prop or display. It must be rare, as I've been collecting and selling for nearly 2 decades and have not seen this type of piece before. If anyone knows more about these, I would love to hear from you. The lovely pencil is made of brass and is FULLY functional! That's right...it has a very thick lead point which mechanically puches out at the twist of the end piece. The only marking I could find was a MADE IN GERMANY hallmark around the top of it. Rather than being round, the pencil is squared off and has lovely Art Deco criss crossed machine work on 4 sides. Alternating with these sides are blue enameled stripes. The top removes to open up the cylinder for extra leads, and it also has an eraser still present and intact. My guess is that this dates to the 1920s or 30s. In gently used condition, I have included several views to try to illustrate the fine condition and craftsmanship that went into this piece. The enameling is in very good, near mint condition, and it appears to be original and free of any repairs or damage. Pefect for the most advanced of collectors, this is offered at less than my initial purchase price many years ago to encourage bidding. PLEASE...pardon these pictures...they do NOT do justice to this piece and I'll attempt to take more images to more adequately and accurately depict this fine rarity!

This globe was made by the Ohio Art Co. of Bryan Ohio. I don't see any dates as to when it was made. It sits on a tin base with signs of the Zodiac around the base, and the base measures 6-1/2 inches across. The holder is plastic and the bottom tip is off, and I believe it is inside the globe; it rests fine on the base without that tip. There is also a dent in the S. Atlantic Ocean. All in all I'd say this was in pretty good shape for its age, resting on the base it stands approximately 11-1/2 inches height, graphics are good. Has Congo (changed 1971) has Omon (1970) Has French West Africa (changed early 1960's) - Germany is not divided (1949) The girth at equator is 29 inches around.

Nice pottery inkwell made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio, as an advertising piece, for their company. The inkwell has an area for two pens to rest (near the front), and two wells for ink - the lids are missing. The AETCO logo, within a circle, sits between the two wells. Super light blue high glaze. This measures just shy of 6 across, 5 from back to front, and sits about 1 1/2 high. My best guess is that this was made around 1930 - 1940. In excellent condition. This would be great for pens and paper clips on a desk. (#T-1877) Key words: advertise desk accessories tile clay vintage tiles

Antique Woven Silk Golden Rule Bookmark Greeting Card
You are buying one of these, though two are available. These were put out by the Quality Weaving Company of Philadelphia, made in U.S.A., and each are marked as such on the back. I am unsure of their age, but I'd guess they are at least 50 years old or more. Each card is on an off white paper stock and has an embroidered or woven book mark greeting tucked into the front. The bookmark reads as follows: The Golden Rule Do onto others as you would have others do unto you The cloth is peach colored with orange thread. On the inside of each card is a place for a greeting or message and the following: This woven greeting may be detached and used as a book mark Never used, this would make an excellent stocking stuffer for the bookworm in the family. They are both excellent with minor wear from storage only. Remember, you are bidding on ONE of these; please check out my other auctions and storefront to bid on the other one. I have seen some of the Stevengraph woven and embroidered pieces, and though this is not a true Stevengraph, this would make a nice usable piece for a fraction of the cost, yet would look nice alongside some of the rarer and more expensive ones.

Not sure of the material, some sort of early vulcanite or gutta percha of some sort. Gold filled metal end, nice elegant decoration. Sold as found, appears to be functional. Lovely authentic Victoriana. Interior section intact. End unscrews to insert pencil lead.
This lot of worldwide stamps appear to be mostly postally used. Most from the 1940s, some from the 1950s. Please see many detailed photos for condition and specifics. The first photo is of the entire lot. The rest of the photos are various close-ups. I am definitely NOT a stamp expert, so please feel free to send me any questions you may have, as I may have missed something that is important to you. Lot is sold as is , so please see many detailed photos for condition and specifics. Additional photos available on request. S&H is an additional $3.00 within the continental U.S. International shipping is also available.
Single bookend, depicting a team of oxen being driven and pulling a Conestoga type covered wagon, much like the pioneers used when heading west. Has great detail, material I believe to be Syroco; a molded pressed wood. Unmarked, was possibly made by Syroco Wood Co, Syracuse, N.Y. They often used paper labels. Condition: End chips here and there; some may be manufacturing flaws as the color is the same/ consistant. Horse & rider to the side, the ox team, driver to the side, and a man, woman, and child are riding in the front of the wagon, again, shows great detail. Size: 6-3/8 inches height, 5-1/4 inches width, 2-1/2 inches depth.
This antique letter opener has a lovely cross and is copper plated. It measures 6 inches long. The copper plating does show some wear but still a nice collectible. ADD $3.00 SHIPPING TO ANYWHERE IN THE USA. I offer a shipping discount on multiple purchases when they can be combined.
Very cute, house on a hill with charms hanging off the 'hill'. On the hill is a post with 'sold' on the post and a blue bird on the top of it. Sounds like alot, but it is very cute. About 2 1/2 total height.

Metal String Holder - Floral - Country Store Fixture
Very nice cast metal two-piece string holder, decorated with raised vines and flowers. Perhaps was a country store fixture back in the days one-tied items for the journey home. Top rests on the base, doesn't screw on and it measures nearly 3 inches in height and 3 ½ inches across the base and 2 ¾ inches across the top with a center hole to feed the string out.
