Limited Edition Plates

This plate is the eleventh issue in the Berta Hummel Mother's Day series produced by Schmid of West Germany. Featuring artwork of Sister Berta Hummel, this lovely plate is 7 3/4 in diameter, is in mint condition and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, a display card, a full-color brochure about the series, and the original box.

This plate is the ninth issue (1982) in the annual Christmas series by Norman Rockwell and Knowles China. This mint condition plate measures 8 1/2 in diameter, is numbered, and comes in its original box. Also includes a Certificate of Authenticity and a large 4-page brochure about Rockwell, the painting and the series. Bradex No: 84-R70-1.9

Here's the commemorative plate for the 1980 Summer Olympic Games held in Moscow. These Games were noteworthy in that the USA did not participate, as a protest against the Soviet invasion of Afganistan. Produced by Viletta China, and featuring the art of Alton Tobey, this plate is a unique piece of sports history. Plate is in mint condition, and includes Certificate of Authenticity and original box.

This is the first plate in The Sound Of Music collection, painted by T. Crnkovich. Officially recognized and endorsed by the estates of Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II, it was produced by Knowles China in a limited 150-day firing period. Number three in a series of four. The third Piece of the Portrait is an awe-inspiring account of the unyielding determination and undaunted courage of an entire nation. These beautiful handmade commemorative plates were designed and produced by Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia, beginning with the first plate in 1973 and producing one each year ending in 1976. On July 4, 1976, a final ceremony was held in Independence Hall, presided over by the Presidents of the General Federation of Women's Clubs for the years 1973-1976. At this ceremony the moulds for these plates were publicly destroyed, thereby creating a limited edition. This plate is still in its box and has all the paperwork, excellent condition!
