How Do I Delete an Item in My Inventory?

To delete an item in your inventory follow the instructions below. Note that the item becomes invisible, but it stays on the system.  This is because the IRS can demand an audit for up to seven years after you file your tax return and we need to keep the data to be able to back you up.  So keep in mind that even if an item is deleted, you will not be able to re-use the item number.  Deleted items can be recovered at any time if you wish.

To remove an item:

  1. Go to your Members Pages (  If your members page is not currently displayed, click this link Members Pages to open it in a new window so you can toggle back and forth between your maintenance page and this tutorial.
  2. If you know the item number, type it at the prompt on your menu that looks like this and click the 'Find' button:

    If you don't remember the exact item number, but you know the name of the item, enter the name in the input box below that's titled 'Enter item name' and click the 'Find' button:

    If you don't know the exact number or name, you can also view all items in a particular category by using the drop-down selector at the top of the page.
  3. In any case, you'll see the item display:
  4. Now click the button to the right of the name of the item you want to remove.
  5. You will see a new page that asks you if you are sure you want to remove the item.  There is a link on this page so that you can check and make sure that there are no orders for the item.  Its a very good idea to use this link to make sure you're not going to disappoint a customer.  If you decide that you want to mark the item deleted, simply click the button titled .  The item will immediately be marked deleted and it will stop being shown  in your online store.
  6. The final step - After making ANY changes or additions to your inventory AT ANY TIME, you need to Update your store before you can "see" your changes on your site!

To do this, click the link titled 'Update Pages' or   located on the top of your menu on the left side, under the logo.
