This is a nice quality made medium sized spoke shave, 10.5" wide x 2.37" cutter width. The cutter nearly flat with about 1/32" convex sweep per side noted when a straight edge is held up to the cutter, in good sharp condition. It is marked on the boxwood "ROB'T MARPLES SHEFFIELD". Overall this tool is in good++ condition with little wear noted, a few scratches in brass plated mouth area, one chip out of one side where the cutter fits into the tapered square slot, not effecting use, cutter holds just fine, one small chip off the edge of one handle at the end, a few minor stains on the wood noted, clean with no damage, cracks, nice patina. A nice old edge tool!
