Georgian English 18k gold mourning ring for G.S. Borlase, Esq.
Hard stone cameo with finely carved funary urn.
Decoratively carved design and engraved,
G.S. BORLASE, DIED 19 MARCH 1837
Borlase was an attorney with R.R.S & C as well as Deputy Lieutenant of Cornwall.
This posibly was called the 2nd Cornwall Penwith Yeomanry Cavalry. (ed)
Funeral details of this lamented gentleman took place at Helleston Tuesday morning at 11:00.
The procession set out from his house on Cross Street to the church.

The principal agents from Gweek Company, Churchwarden and wife. The Officers of Duke of Cornwall's Yeomanry as Mr. Borlase was Major Commandant.
The partners in Gweek Company and Union Bank, the principle gentlemen of the town his servants, the body and a long trail of friends.

The service by reverend Derwent Coleridge M.A. with 2000 in attendance a well respected Cornish man of West Briton who passed on two months prior to Queen Victoria’s ascension.
