Very nice enameled Badge for the BPOE Elks Reunion for the State of West Virginia. Held in Clarksburg in 1912. Raised Elk emblem on the front with enameling on the ends. Very good overall condition. Measures about 2 in length. Would make a fine addition to your Elks or Fraternal collection. Buyer to pay shipping.
Early Shaving Mug featuring BPOE Elks and what I'm assuming is members name. Mug is probably from the late 1800's early 1900's. Name has initials which I believe are G.___ something McMechen. It's difficult to make out the second initial and I'm not 100% sure the first letter is a G but I believe it is. Handled Shaving Mug has some crazing and some wear to the gold trim as shown in the photos. Underside is marked with the number 420 and says K.T. in height. Would make a great addition to any Elks or Shaving Mug collection. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance.

This piece has light wear, inked name on cover and is of the smaller format: 7 1/2 x 10 3/4 . An un usual piece of Salvation Army and WWI History. Would be terrific matted and framed... GREAT IMAGE!! A little Salvation Army History from the net: The Salvation Army began in 1865 when William Booth, a London minister, gave up the comfort of his pulpit and decided to take his message into the streets where it would reach the poor, the homeless, the hungry and the destitute. By the 1900s, the Army had spread around the world. The Salvation Army soon had officers and soldiers in 36 countries, including the U.S. This well-organized, yet flexible structure inspired a great many and much-needed services - women's social work, the first food depot, the first day nursery and the first Army missionary hospital. During World War II, The Salvation Army operated 3,000 service units for the armed forces, which led to the formation of the USO. Offered is a super Real Photo Postcard of the 1915 Wheeling, West Virginia Police Department, including Police Chief Thoms Leyland in the center. Notice the very early Motorcycle an Officer is sitting on to the far left. Also include is a 1917 Bureau of Police Card of an Officer issued by the City of Wheeling and signed by the Chief of Police. I'm unable to identify this Officer in the photo, however, both pieces were from the same estate an it's almost a given that he's in the Real Photo Postcard. Postcard has some light corner wear and has been postally unused. Would make a terrific item for any Wheeling, West Virginia memorablia collection or perhaps even a collector of early Police memorablia. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance.

The soft-cover, leatherette-looking book held a page for each day of the year, showing the date at top and listing an insurance product with the company's logo at the bottom. Space between was left for notes. The book is in Good condition, although it shows some use. The first 30 days of January have been removed. The final 3 days of the year show some pencil notations. Covers are a bit worn on the edges, but still complete and tightly bound. (6430)
An early Marshalltown business, A.B.C. REFRIGERATION offered Sales and Service from offices at 9 East State Street, Marshalltown, Iowa. Phone numbers at the time this was printed were only four digits - 4608 and 2340. The company was 'authorized retailer for Frigidaire commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.' This early thermometer, measuring 3 inches wide by 11 inches long, was used for many years to monitor the temperature in some of that equipment in our store. It's seen some wear - the paint is chipped in some places on the front and rust spots are showing. The mercury in the thermometer remains inside, but has separated. Still, a nice piece of memorabilia! (6426)
The printed calling card of 'Lois Maude Kelso' is stuck into the frame of this early photo from Apgar Studio, Marshalltown, Iowa.
