Antique American pewter water pitcher. Marked: L H Vaughan, Tauntan, Mass. Pewter. And, LHV in a small square. Note the old State abbreviation. This company was in biz from 1889-1961. The patina and age on this pitcher indicates an early date; my estimate is 1889-1920's. It has some age/wear on the surface but no noticeable dings or dents. It stands 7.25 tall; nice size. These also make very romantic vases; just add white or pale pink roses! A great addition to your vintage pewter collection!

This is a nice vintage 1960's era cabin cruiser boat trophy or paperweight ornament. It is nicely detailed, much like the cabin cruisers of the era, with an inboard motor. It was part of a collection of cast hood and trophy ornaments we are presently listing for sale, most from the mid-1900's to 1960's era. This one is not marked by the maker. It weighs about 1 pounds and has a 1/4-20 threaded stud attached so you can attach it to a base of your choosing. The casting is 4 long overall, and about 2.2 tall (not including the threaded stud). Note the design of the base, can be attached to most any type of material as long as a counter bore hole is suppied for a 1/4-20 nut to hold it in place. The casting nicely detailed, no pits, smooth surfaces, a few tiny imperfections, that could be polished out. The threaded stud is well attached. Would make a nice vintage trophy, or desk paper weight! Unique!

Antique Metal Canteen Two Compartments Screw Caps Japan
This is a very unique antique metal container with two separate compartments, and twin screw caps, forming a Mickey Mouse head shape. There is two Japanese marks on the front face also, but we are not sure what it translates to in English. This is a very well made container, fairly thick metal, and there is a interior center separator that makes it very sturdy. The screw caps have rubber washers inside for a very good seat, air tight. There is a residue much like a light grease inside, perhaps this was part of a weapon kit that would contain two types of grease, or perhaps a metal cleaner and grease for a weapon? The man I bought it from seemed to think it was a ceremonial container for holding some sort of drink? I have so far found nothing conclusive on the purpose of this unique item. The size of the main round body is 2.5 diameter, the overall height is 2.75 . As you can see the metal has no rust on it, no pitting, maybe a pewter, or nickel based alloy metal. It has a few small dents, otherwise in very good condition, with very good caps and threads. Very well made!
Six antique pewter plates or coasters. A bit larger than a regular coaster so not sure what they were for. On frontside are two leopards flanking a crown and shield with banner under this. Banner reads: Nobilitatis Character Virtus Non Stemma, (translates to 'Virtue, Not Pedigree is the Mark of Nobility'). Backsides have 2 touchplates: Fin over GB over Fin, which I believe 'fin' is Swedish for pewter but I could be wrong, with another touchplate of two animals flanking the crown and shield with F inside, over FIN. Some of these are in fairly good antique condition; one is very worn. The stand they are in looks like someone may have made it to display them in; and it needs to be repainted black. These are a tad over 3.75 wide. A cool addition to your pewter collection! 8/10scsr

Hydroplane Boat Racing Trophy Ornament Paperweight Cast
This is a nice vintage 1960's era racing boat trophy or paperweight ornament. It is nicely detailed, much like the small hydo-plane racing boats of the era, with an outboard motor. It was part of a collection of cast hood and trophy ornaments we are presently listing for sale, most from the mid-1900's to 1980's era. This one is not marked by the maker. This one is die cast metal, and the metal seems to have plenty of nickel or pewter in the alloy as there is no rust present even though is the not chrome plated. It weighs about 1 pounds and has a port hole on the bottom, one behind the driver on top, from the cast coring process. This coring process was used to maintain a better wall thickness, and details on each casting, the inside is basically hollow, not solid. The casting is 6 long overall, and about 3.7 tall (not including the threaded stud).
