More Than McCoy

Circa: 1935
Manufacturer: Nelson McCoy Pottery Co.
Vintage Nelson McCoy Pottery jardiniere. c:1935. Nice fat, good sized pale pink jard with leaves and berries design. It is not crooked; just my bad photography! It is shown on pg. 69 of the 1980 book by S. Huxford. It is 6.75 tall x 7.75 wide at top rim. It has a drainage hole and looks like it was used for live plants in its history. No exterior chips or cracks; lots of pindots that are common on old NM pottery. It does have a surface flake off the interior area near the drainage hole, see photo #8; since that is on the interior bottom, I don't consider it much of a flaw. Seal it with superglue or clear nail polish. It is a nice old piece. I do not see the NM mark on it but that could have been swallowed up during the firing process. Early NM pottery is often lacking the NM mark. 11/16
