This is the 8 1/2 nappy bowl in the Fiesta line made by the Homer Laughlin China Company from 1936 through 1969. It is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs and it has good light green color and glaze. There are some flakes along the edge in one area (see photos). The 8 1/2 nappy bowl and the light green color were part of the line from the beginning and while the bowl continued to be made throughout, the light green color was dropped in the Fall of 1951. This nappy bowl has the vintage impressed HLC fiesta Made In U.S.A. mark on the bottom (see photos) and is 8 1/2 in diameter and 2 3/4 high.

An eye-appealing display piece combined with function makes this vintage covered bowl and nutcracker a wonderful pairing. This is the 9 1/4 dinner plate in the Colonial shape with the Sunflower pattern in the myriad of Blue Ridge dinnerware lines made by Southern Potteries, Inc. from the late 1930's through 1956. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good paint and detail of the Sunflower design. There are a few very light, very minor scratches from use and stacking. This is the New York teapot in the Red Poppy pattern made by the Hall China Company to be used as a premium by the Grand Union Tea Company from the mid 1930's through the mid 1950's. The leaves and flowers are accentuated with gray cut dots, and the tray was probably manufactured in the 1950s or early 1960s. This is a very vintage unused menu from Nicola's Italian Restaurant in South Bend, Indiana. It measures 11.75 x 8.75 and looks unused. Gorgeous colors depicting a gondola, and signed bo Rocco L. When it's opened there isn't any color loss at the crease so it appears almost unused. There are some white spots scattered through but these are ink skips from the printer and not damage. There are some smudges on the back, but looks like it about the same color as the front, so probably from being stacked. Also, some faint fingerprints. It is undated, but from the pricing, it's quite old. I researched this restaurant and couldn't find it. However, current maps indicate that there is a hospital at that address now. Some examples of pricing: $1.50 for a chicken dinner with fries, salad, bread, butter and coffee; shrimp dinner with same for $1.75. Pepsi is .15, as is 7Up. Pizza with sausage is 2.25 for a 14 inch, and is called Nicola's Cracker Crust Pizza . This is the best one: Filet Mignon, wrapped in bacon, with fries, salad, bread, butter and coffee a whopping $2.50!!!

This is a glossy red with gold lettering menu that measures approximately 13 by 8.5. There are some dents to the glossy surface from use, the edges are slightly worn, and there is a water spot to the top, left of the front page. I believe this is from about 1959. I did a search and found an Notre Dame collect newsletter from 1959 that contained an ad for this restaurant. It could be later into the 60s because it is undated. Pricing includes .35 for an egg roll, 2.65 for Lobster Tail Cantonese and 1.95 for a fried perch dinner with soup, relishes, salad, potato, rolls, desert and beverage - maybe it's even earlier than the 50s given those prices! This isn't perfect and has obviously been used, but staples still intact in the center.

Hi, This is a very nice Sheridan Silver Co. plated condiment server. It was made in the 1940's. I do not know the pattern name. It is very beautiful. There are flowers and scroll work on it. I cleaned it and it sparkles in the light. It has three small glass condiment holders. They are all in good, used condition, with no chips or breaks. One of them has a piece of trash inside the glass; it must have fallen in when it was made. It is approx. 9 inches in diameter x 6.5 inches tall. I have two different sizes of these, in the same pattern. Check the other one out. It would be nice to have the pair to use at a dinner party. I am attaching pictures. This is the May, 1967 Issue No. 62 of the Marvel Comics Group comic book Fantastic Four. It is in very good condition with no holes or folds and all of the pages are intact with some minor age yellowing at the edges. There are some light corner creases of the front cover, some stress lines at the spine and a half inch long separation of the lower edge of the spine. There is some negligible interior page chipping from the printing process. This Fantastic Four comic book was printed by the Eastern Color Printing Company and copyrighted and published by the Canam Publishers Sales Corporation.

This set of Sterling miniature bell Christmas lights is special - the 40 plastic ribbed bells blink on and off to music. An electronic controller is attached to the cord, allowing you to select from 21 different Christmas tunes. You can also control the volume, the pattern of the flashing lights, or whether the lights burn steady without dancing. The lights are all red and very pretty, with or without the music. The string is about 23-1/2 feet long with the bells spaced 6 inches apart. The bell covers are 1-1/4 inches high, about 1-1/2 inches wide at the bottoms. The set has been tested but never used and comes in the original box, which does have minor shelf or storage wear. Two vintage 14 volt Japan C-6 type bell shape figural milk glass Christmas tree light bulbs. They're decorated with raised Santa Claus faces on two sides, with hand painted holly and berries between the Santas. The bulbs are 2-2-5/8 high with every good paint and little wear. They do not light but make nice tree ornaments when a cord or wire hanger is wrapped around the threads.

An extra large C-6 type figural milk glass Christmas tree lightbulb circa 1930s, in the shape of a basket of fruit. You can see apples, bananas, grapes, oranges, berries, and peaches in the basket, plus a cluster of green leaves at the top. The bulb is 3-1/4 high by nearly 3 inches wide. There's a little paint wear as shown, the bulb lights up fine.

This is April, 1966 Issue No. 19 of the Gold Key comic book Bonanza based on the TV show of the same name which aired from 1959 through 1973. It is in very good condition with no tears, holes or folds and all of the pages are intact in good condition. There is some soiling of the back cover, some stress lines at the spine and the pages are beginning to yellow from age at the edges. This Bonanza comic book was printed by the Western Printing and Lithographing Company and copyrighted by the National Broadcasting Company, Inc.

A collar pin of a winged bird & medical symbol with the initials, USNR in a brassy toned metal. The pin is in good condition and measures 1/4 in. x 1 in.

This unusual vintage Japan milk glass figural Christmas light bulb is described in one of my books as Rooster Playing Golf . It's hard to see in my photos, but he does have a golf club clutched under one arm, and is wearing blue pants and red striped socks. The C-6 type bulb is a little over 3 high and marked 15V Japan. It does not light but of course can easily be made into a tree ornament with a wire or string hanger tied around the upper threads.

This Gemlites lighted hard plastic angel can be a Christmas tree topper, window, or tabletop decoration. She's over 8 inches tall with a gold and white half-circle halo, long feathery blue wings, and a long white robe trimmed in gold. She lights up fine as you can see and comes in her original box. Made in the late 1940s to early 1950s by Gem Electric Mfg. of Brooklyn New York. The angel has no cracks or chips but there are some shallow, small melt-like marks to the back. This is a chemical reaction between the hard plastic and vinyl-coated electric cord that occurs during long-term storage - the cord should be stored wrapped separately from the angel. The glue at the side seams is a little yellowed from age. The box has storage wear and the upper flap hinge is taped.

An assorted lot of 58 metal Christmas bell ornaments, decorations, and jingle bells dated from the 1930s through the 1980s (most are 1950s era). Some of the brass and colored jingle bells are on cards, 2 partials and one full unused card. They range from tiny 3/8 diameter to the large enameled holly and berry bell ornaments. These make great package trims. There are 8 old 1-1/4 inch high brass bells, many of these have some oxidation or rust. Other styles include red apple bells, white mica coated with star glitter, and colored aluminum and tin bells, most 1 inch high. There's also a door hanger decoration with five gold and red jingle bells at the ends of the ribbon streamers.

Whether you call them gnomes, elves, or dwarfs, these charming pine cone, chenille, and spun cotton figures were popular dimestore Christmas decorations from the 1930s through 1950s. Kids, pets, and handling through the years were hard on the fragile gnomes though, and those that have survived in good condition are now very sought-after collectibles. The gnomes average about 3 inches high and are marked Japan. Four have molded clay faces, two have plastic faces with hand painted features. Four have pinecone bodies, one sits on a pinecone. Most show some wear from age and use: the elf with cymbals is missing many of the cone tips, the red spun cotton elf has some dark spots to the back of his hat and lower body, the green hat elf is missing some face paint, and one elf's face is oddly ghost-white instead of pink or flesh colored.

This status-link golden 30 long necklace has four column stations; two slimmer with vertical ribs and wider ones with spiral flutes. This 1930's coat clip / dress pin clip is made of gilt brass with glass petals and a citrine rhinestone center on the happy flower. The simple design is 3 3/8 high by 2 3/8 wide. The petals are opaque and have concave shapes; some call these poured glass but they are actually molded and then each is rimmed in gilt brass. They remind me of the special white glass flowers Trifari used mid-century. The double-pronged clip mechanism is secure. COndition is very fine. Such retro clips are so versatile and go well on sweaters, coats, hats, and thick scarves. Try one on a hat or denim jacket too!
