1. How do you get 1000 customers to read about your business?

In March News-Antique.com launched a new news service for
the antiques and collectibles trade. With a few months of data
now available, we can now tell you how easy it is to get customers
to your Web site or business by using this no cost service.

For starters, lets take a look at the most popular press releases
on the system so far. Take a few minutes and look at the stories
listed at: http://mostviewed.news-antique.com/

Pay very careful attention to the number after the word "Read".
This is the number of times that people have looked at that
particular press release/story since it was posted online.

The reason the first story has been read over 3000 times is
that it shows up on the first page of Google's search engine
results for that particular topic.

A common thread among many of the other popular press
releases is that the authors did NOT go for the hard sell. They
gave information that had value and that the reader could use.
The result is that more people read stories with headlines like:

"Online appraisers give their views about using eBay prices"
"The Most Requested Antiques and Collectibles for August, 2005"
"Research key to finding bargain antiques, collectibles"
"2005 Warman’s Hot List: Top five categories of this year’s hottest
antiques, collectibles"

All of these press releases were trying to get people to buy
something or use their service, but they also offered free
information as well. The result is that their message has been
read by many people.

News-Antique.com is designed just for the antiques and
collectibles trade. The news and press releases you post on behalf
of your business/service may also appear on Google News as well.
You can see examples on Google here: http://tinyurl.com/8jjqa

So what's stopping you? The service does not cost anything,
since it is supported by ad revenue. It will only take you a
few minutes to setup an account and then post a press release.
You can even include a small photo with your release.

Give it a try right now at http://www.News-Antique.com

2. Hot Summer - Sales Drop Online
Here on the East Coast of the US. the summer has been hot.
As usual at this time of the year fixed price sales of antiques
and collectibles online seem to drop off as buyers take to going
outdoors in search of antique shows, auctions, yard sales and
other seasonal outdoor activities like summer vacation.

Don't be discouraged. There are already significant signs that
we are in the upturn of this yearly trend.

Based on sales #'s from previous years you should see full
recovery by the first week of September and then begin the
upward sales increase that leads to Holiday buying.

3. Consider opening another online store
In the last issue of ABN I mentioned that the trend in e-commerce was
for merchants to sell from multiple venues.

I attended that last eBay live in June and the buzz was about finding
multiple places to sell online. Merchants are looking for alternative
online venues including their own Web site. Even eBay is now hostings
Web sites.

Here comes my sales pitch....If you are considering another online
location to sell your antiques and collectibles, TIAS has quite a few
different services you may want to consider. Take a look at
http://www.MakeAShop.com for more information or give us a call
at 1-888-653-7883
