1. Are you having speed problems with TIAS?
Can't load items or pictures without it taking forever? When this happens, we
need you to go to the member page at http://www.tias.com/members and in
the left column select "How to Get Help" then go to #4 "Filing a system problem
report" and submit a speed report. This form will give us detailed information
on what is happening between your computer and our servers in California.
The problem may not be related to TIAS or our Internet Service Provider, but
the only way we can determine that is if you submit a speed report.
--------------
We were on TV again last night.
The food Network reran a program about TIAS from 2004. You can see
more info online at: http://tinyurl.com/4zwub
Each time this program runs, it doubles our normal traffic for several hours
after the program. It usually runs on the East coast and then 3 hours later on
the west coast.
We had some slowness on the system last night, because of all the traffic that
came in all at once.

Spring can be a very slow season, but.....
It is a good time to do a little spring cleaning on your site. Prices, photos and
descriptions for older merchandise sometimes need a little updating to make
your items interesting to customers again.
Take some time to check out the older inventory that you have online. Does
it need some refreshing?
--------------
Great Example of doing a public press release
I saw this come online yesterday. It is a public press release that was sent out
by a tias dealer. http://press.arrivenet.com/bus/article.php/618047.html
The more of these you put up for your shop, the more your store name
will be out on the Web. In the last merchant newsletter there was a list of free
pr services that you can submit your press release to. Give them a try today.
--------------
Scams on orders
DON'T accept orders where the customer expects you to refund them for the
difference between the price of the item and whatever the customer sends you
as payment (CHECK, MONEY ORDER, TRAVELERS CHECK). This is a
huge scam.
For more info on online scams, take a look at the members page, System Tutorial,
then #8. Shopping Carts, Orders and Billing, then item j. What Country Is My
Order From?
