1. Sales were up in December
Following the addition of the "Trust & Security Seals" we mentioned in the last newsletter, many dealers saw an increase in their December 2009 sales. On average TIAS dealers saw an increase in sales of 32.6% this past December, when compared to December of 2008. We also saw the average individual sale amount increase as customers became more comfortable purchasing more expensive items. We have a number of additional changes scheduled for the TIAS system this year.

2. Free Coupons for classifieds on TIAS are still working.
Here is a coupon for a free classified ad in the TIAS.com newsletter. Over 15,000 subscribers get our email newsletter twice each week. To get your free ad, go to http://www.tias.com/cgi-bin/submitClassified.cgi and select "Newsletter Ad" then fill out the form. When you checkout, use the coupon code "free123" and you will get a free ad. Your ad also appears online for one month in the TIAS classifieds. Use the ad to sell an item or promote your store, it's up to you. These get great placement on Google as well.

3. Auctionbytes Survey
Auctionbytes is conducting a survey of 15 different e-commerce platforms and TIAS is one of the sites listed in the survey. To participate in the survey, please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/J6N7P85

4. Problems when a TIAS dealer places an order
If you are logged in as a TIAS dealer and you try to use the question form of another TIAS dealer or place an order with a TIAS merchant, be sure that you log out first, then login as a customer. Customer accounts and TIAS merchant account are different and using your merchant account to place an order or use a question form will cause problems.
---
5. Google Checkout funds
Before shipping an order that was paid for via Google checkout, be sure that the funds have cleared Google. Login to your Google checkout account and check the status of the payment. Google checkout does not seem to work like Paypal, so check on all payments before shipping merchandise.
