--SCAM WARNING -- from TIAS.com - November 28th, 2011
If you get an email similar to this one.....
"Hello, Do you ship to Australia ? We will
pay via credit card, I
will be very glad if you can assist me
with the order,I will be happy
if you treat this email with good
concern....Best Regards. Angie."
This is the basic letter many TIAS dealers are receiving. After emails back and forth, the buyer asks the dealer to put together $xxxx in inventory saying she trusts their judgment on what can be resold at their antique shop.
The details and names vary, but it's the same old scam. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true and they won't put in an order in the system, it's probably a scam. If you have any questions about orders, email support so that we can see if there is any history with the supposed buyer.
Kind Regards,
