Vintage Norleans porcelain silent butler. See 2nd photo for the other silent butler. The one in the lst photo has an old Norleans Japan foil label on bottom. No chips or cracks; minimal age/wear consistent with its age. It has one little white glob on the lower white area; hard to spot and hard to get a good picture of it, see pic #8. It is 3 inches tall x 9.75 long. You also get the powder blue butler for free if you want it. Let me know when placing order. It is a different type of porcelain; more like a hard paste German or French porcelain and is probably older. It is a beauty but has 2 problems. The little gold thumb handle is missing, see the little open square on lid where it would have been. And, the brass lid rim attachment has broken off; it needs re-soddering. A good jeweler can probably repair it; see pics 6-7. Both are lovely boxes; they were once used for removing table crumbs, but can also be used as jewelry or trinket boxes, etc. 9/14
