Manufacturer: T&V Limoges
Pair of Hand Painted china bread & butter plates using T&V Limoges (Tressermann & Vogt Limoges China) white bases and showing painters initials 'M.G.B.' on back. The T&V Limoges mark in green dates from ca. 1892-1907. These were likely painted during the period when hand painting china was a popular hobby for individuals in the early 1900s to 1920s period. People would purchase blank white pieces and then hand paint them, afterwards taking them to a store or location for firing in a kiln to "seal" the paint. Pretty pale flowers with yellow center & green leaves, 6 inches diameter, scalloped edge with worn gold paint on edge, otherwise very good condition. Priced and sold as a pair.
