There is a history of the Royal Marines and the Black Watch regiment. The program is in very condition with a few minor surface scuffs and a Beefeater gin ad on the back cover!

The playhouse seats 2,300 people in the round and no seat is more than 50 feet from the stage. This Playbill is Volume 12 - Issue 4 July 22 - August 2, 1987 when they were celebrating their 37th Anniversary. Douglas Fairbanks in the Black Pirate - Original souvenir program, 1926. This program has many photos from the movie, The Black Pirate, with Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., along with a synopsis of the story and the music to the Love Motive from The Black Pirate, by Mortimer Wilson, copyright 1926 by Elton Corporation. The last page has a few interesting sidelights on the production. At the front are portrait photos of the director, Albert Parker and actors, Tempe Pigott, Sam De Grasse, Charles Belcher, Billie Dove, Donald Crisp, Anders Randolf, and Charles Stevens. Soft stapled cover, 9 inches wide by 12 inches tall, 14 pages. Spine has separated 6 inches from bottom up. Thre is a moisture stain along the top edge, and a tiny hole at the bottom of the front cover. Under 1 lb.

It is advertising patterns (579) for a Snow White doll dress, patterns (576) for stuffed dolls of Grumpy, Snow White, Sleepy, a costume pattern (581 for little boys and girls for Dopey and all the dwarfs. and patterns for embroidering on small garments, towels, quilts, etc. and larger motifs of Snow white and 7 dwarfs, part applique, part embroidery. In upper corner is Copyright Walt Disney Enterprises. On the other side of the page are shown 4 patterns for clothes for young children. Page has been wet, and there is some color staining. Page is 10-3/4 x 13-3/4 inches. There is a 1 inch tear at the edge.

This Landmark 1956 production of THE CHALK GARDEN is important because it was the first time in 50 years that the famous GISH SISTERS had acted together on the same stage. If you made it in person to see this production back in 1956, consider yourself lucky! Not many people were privelaged enough to see both GISH legends on stage at the same time!
