Vintage bird cage ornament. This looks like a canary or oriole. It is 5.5 long; good vintage condition. Just missing some bits of the cold paint. It ha zinc metal clip on to attach to a cage. Ceramic. 12/12grcsr
Two vintage ceramic bird cage ornaments. They are very small; have Japan inkstamps on undersides. The green parokeet is very cute. The cardinal has some flaws, but they really are not very noticeable, but it is free with purchase. The cardinal's tail has been glued back on, (old repair). These cuties clip onto the top of a birdcage and were very popular pre-1950's. These birdies are 3.25 long. 12/12stmc
Very cool old chalkware parakeet birdcage ornament. Has incised USA mark on it. Some missing cold paint, but still a very neat and hard to find item. These were once used to clip onto to the top of a birdcages or clip onto the swing. The tail on this apparently broke off at some time and was glued back on. This one is likely very rare since it is 'chalkware' and Made in USA; most were ceramic Made in Japan. 8/12jtestcs
Two cute vintage bird cage ornaments. These clip onto the top of the cage; or the swing. One is a cardinal, other is a parakeet. Both have original foil labels: Inarco Japan. The clips are rusty on them, but these are hard to find items. 8/12jtest
Vintage blue bird cage ornament. Blue birds bring good luck! This item is 5.5 inches long. Feels like ceramic or plater with zinc metal to clip onto a cage. One tiny area of missing paint near the zinc piece. Your granny probably had one of these on her birdcage back in the 1940's! A hard to find item. 6/12gscs
Antique Osborn brass bird cage. Very nice condition on this antique cage; it doesn't appear to have been used for a live bird. The front metal label reads: Osborn Mfg. Co., Hudson St. New York. Has 3 wood perches and wood swing. The 2 porcelain treat cups are Made in Germany; the back part of one of the seedcup is broken off. This small cage would have been used for a finch. It stands 11 inches tall not counting the top finial. It is 12.25 wide x 9.5 deep. The bottom tray is very thin and delicate. Due to its age it probably should just be used as a display or decorative item and not for birds. Age est: 1900's or earlier. I sold one of these to a museum a few years ago and it was not in as good of condition as this one is. 1/11k#3188
One of the most unusual and neatest Bird Cages we have seen. 1920 Antique in excellent condition. The Gold Mesh has a sparkle to it and there are no broken wires. The door opens and closes nicely. The finial tops it off nicely. Very cool for a Cottage type surrounding and may be used for a small bird. Top opens for easy cleaning.
Cool antique brass Hendryx birdcage. Domed style on a pedestal stand. Has two glass seedcups that I added to it. Plaque on door reads: Hendryx, Reg. US Pat Off, Made in USA, New Haven, Conn. Note the old State abbreviation. It also has a wood swing inside. It stands 16 tall to finial x 13.5 wide on bottom. This is so old I don't think you'd want to put a live bird in it; maybe a faux feathered bird or flowers. Once used for finches or canaries. It is showing age and wear. 8/10sv+cs#3280
Cool double parakeet wallpocket planter. Likely Royal Copley, Brush-McCoy or Ransbottom. Has runners on back; incised #2 on back. I sold a green pair awhile ago, this one has blue, aqua and burgandy coloring. One small fleabite on bottom tip of tail which is not really visible unless turning it upside down and looking at it directly see pic #6. This item is 7.5 long x almost 4 wide. Nicely made and detailed; they look very realistic. 7/10lab#3237
Vintage Hendryx birdcage with glass seedcups and wood bird on swing. Age est: 1920'-30's. This cage appears to have been painted a few times through its history; some paint drizzles on the mesh. You could leave as is, repaint, or strip it and repaint. It is 13.75 x 9 at bottom x 15 tall. It has mesh around bottom sides, not glass. The little wooden bird on wood and wire swing looks antique. Two glass USA seedcups with it. The 2 vintage seedcups alone sell for $60 at most sites. 7/10brcs
Large domed antique birdcage. Aqua paint. Good overall antique condition; (some paint loss/chipping). Decorator's delight! Tray on bottom is rusty, has a wire handle that flips up or down. Needs to be lightly cleaned under the tray; some debris leftover under there. It stands 35 inches tall x 14.5 wide x 8.5 deep. It would be great in a sunroom! This is an old beauty that you don't want to pass on! THey do make newer ones like this but this is an oldie! 5/10s#3112
Vintage glass bird seedcups for sale. both markeed: USA. No chips or cracks. They are 3 long x 2.25 wide. They could use a more thorough washing in the dishwasher. Getting hard to find these old ones! 11/09ro-cs
