Vintage gold trimmed swan planter or vase. Incised number: 388. It is likely a Cameron Clay product items as they made many novelty planters that have gold trim and that look and feel like McCoy pottery. CCPP was an American Co. that is no longer in business. It might also be American Bisque or Brush McCoy. No chips or cracks. It is 5 inches tall x 5.5 long. These small novelty planters are great to collect if you don't have a ton of space but love vintage pottery! 11/13st
Vintage gold swan planter. Very confident this is a Cameron Clay Products novelty. My book shows many gold items with blue interiors and this has white clay on the bottom as CC pottery does. CC Pottery was an American company that is no longer in business; they made a lot of novelty planters and are similar in design, glazes and weight to McCoy Pottery. This swan has no chips or cracks; just a couple dots where the gold has rubbed off. It is 5 tall x 5.5 long. Pics 5-6 show closeups of where some of the gold paint has rubbed off. A really nice vintage planter for your novelty collection! 10/13smc
Very cute vintage novelty planter. Features a girl and boy with bucket or basket. Aqua color; no cracks; has a pea sized rounded chip or bubble burst on backside near bottom rim and a glaze miss. Yellow dry clay bottom. This is listed as a Cameron Clay Products and a Fredericksburg Art Pottery item. Cameron was located in W. Va. from 1902-1970. FAPCO was an Ohio company in business from 1910-1965. Both companies made a lot of pottery that is very similar to McCoy, Shawnee, Morton, Am. Bisque, etc. It is hefty for its size and stands 4.25 tall x 5 long. Great for a windowsill. 1/12vwmc
