RPM Germany Porcelain Plaque. Great looking porcelain plaque, (looks like transferware). It is marked on the back in gold: R.P.M. Germany, incised number #7972, (one site lists the mark as Reinecke Porzellan Manufaktur from Moschendory Bavaria/Germany, c:1879 to 1930's.) Purchased at an estate auction; the auction paper said it was signed: 'VR', however, I cannot locate the 'VR' on it. This plaque is set is a lovely wood frame with copper staples on back. This attractive basket with a twined or braided handle measures 4 in. diameter and is 4 in. tall. Bottom marked Vestal Alcobaca Portugal. It's handpainted with delicate flowers. Darker blue accents. In very good, like new condition. A superb example of this type of pottery.
These dogs are sooooo charming. They are 6 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide and have a crazed creamy white finish. The eyes and face are hand painted pale tan. The dogs are in the STAFFORDSHIRE flatback style and are both stamped on the bottom 'ITALY'. They are in super condition. I have not idea as to their age. They were purchased from an elderly lady at an antique study club sale that I frequent two times a year. She is downsizing her home, so I could not resisst them.
Hand painted artist signed Bavarian cabinet plate or platter. Has green backstamp: Crown, then Bareuther Waldassen Bavaria, Germany in red, then signed, H. Sergfried, (can't quite make out one letter in the last name). This platter has a thick gold painted rim, and pink roses with green leaves. No chips or cracks and is 11.75 wide. This painting on this platter is very pretty but not exceptionally detailed, so I think you can actually use it to serve food on as long as you put a nice paper doily on it first, (see pic #6). It would make an excellent housewarming gift! estcs

This Ewer could have been sitting in my living room when I was preschool age. It was made in Italy. It does bring back great carefree memories of the 1950's. Retro Decorating is in fashion just now but this would fit in with any contemporary decor as well.
