The back says: The Liberty Bell rang out the news of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. It has become America's Symbol of Freedom. Back is marked in raised lettering: FRANKOMA - LB - TR. The trivet measures 6 ¼ inches diameter and has 6 feet - three have felt pads on them. NO chips or cracks. There are two very tiny scratches on the face of the tile. Wonderful display of patriotism and nice addition to a Frankoma or American Art Pottery collection.
This bell stands 6 in. tall and the base measures 3.25 in. diameter. Goldtone metal handle. I believe this bell was produced by the Frankoma Pottery Co. Vintage cornocopia vase pair. 2 vases, one price! Incised mark #159. Heavy-duty semi-gloss rose colored vases. One has remnant of an old paper label on bottom, likely vintage Frankoma vases, but could possibly be another American pottery company like Abingdon. They have a dry bottom rim exposing tan clay, and just a small amount of crazing on bottom. One has a tiny fleabite near bottom rim; a very minor, insignificant flaw. They stand 7.75 tall x aboout 8 wide. The color is what I would call a desert rose, (but is a bit peachier than a true rose, but not true peach either). A nice vintage pair for each nightstand!
