Occupied Japan Porcelain Ceramic Colonial Couple Figurine
This Colonial style man and woman figurine was made in Occupied Japan between 1946 and 1951. They look like they're about to dance the minuet with the man holding the woman's arm in front of him, her other hand holding up her bustle. It measures 5-3/4 inches high by about 4 inches a the widest point. It's painted well for this type of figurine - produced quickly for export to discount and dime stores, meant to be sold cheaply. The red backstamp on the bottom reads Made In Occupied Japan. Excellent condition with no damage, one small paint scratch below the man's elbow.

This basket is marked made in Occupied Japan. This mark would date it from 1946-1952, the period the US occupied Japan following the 2nd World War. This little nut basket stands 2.5 in. tall. Decorated with floral and leaf on a white background. Measures 2.5 in. long and is 1 in. wide. No damage. Marked Kishimara, Occupied Japan.

Occupied Japan condiment set with the covered sugar and the salt and pepper set shaped like tomatoes. The large tomato is the covered sugar bowl and is 4 inches high and 4 1/2 inches wide. The cute salt and pepper tomatoes are 1 1/2 inches high and 1 1/2 inches wide with great cork stoppers. This is an adorable set in wonderful condition. This is a rather old figurine of a Pixie or Elf marked Japan on the bottom. It is a nice one, unusual size and shape. Good coloring. Both legs have been repaired, and they are excellent repairs, very hard to spot. Very collectible item.
Occupied Japan bon bon dish in excellent condition marked Spring Violets, hand painted, made in Occupied Japan, sold by Rossetti of Chicago. It has the pretty purple and lavender violets and leaves pattern with wonderful gold trim around the rim and lovely sweeping handle. It is 1 1/4 inches high and 5 3/4 inches wide.

A 9.25 in. diameter plate that has the backstamp Kenedai Occupied Japan. This plate has a floral border surrounding a scene of a river, boat, building, 2 horses and riders apparently enjoying a rest stop. It does have light crazing but no chips, nicks, or cracks. Wall Pocket, Flying Goose, Made in Occupied Japan. This vintage goose is 8 3/4 long by 5 1/2 high. It is a very attractive wall pocket with an opening for flowers. The colors are a rich dark blue shading into pink, yellow, gold with a black face. It is in very good condition with the Occupied Japan mark.

This set of binoculars measure 4 x 2.5 in. In a leather case. Marked Made in Occ. Japan just above the snap on the case and on the center front between the lenses. Marked this way indicates the time frame of 1946-1952 which is the period the US occupied the country of Japan after the 2nd. world war. I believe these are in usable condition.
