Planter/Figurine, Occupied Japan, Donkey Pulling Cart. This adorable little mottled brown donkey pulling his cart measures 7 long, 3 5/8 tall and 2 3/4 wide. Made sometime between 1945 and 1952, he is very reminiscent of a bygone era, over 50 years ago. He is in good condition--no chips, cracks or repairs. The bottom is marked made in Occupied Japan .
Norleans - Japan - Deviled Egg Plate - With Chickens
Three piece set deviled egg plate with a figural toothpick holder and salt shaker, with a foil sticker remaining on its bottom naming the maker as Norleans, Japan. Very cute chickens and the surface of the plate looks to be a basket weave pattern. The plate holds 10 eggs and the center has areas for the two chickens to rest. Size: 9-3/4 inches length, 6-1/2 inches width, and in nice condition, possibly never used with the foil sticker still in place it hasn't been washed. The one shaker has a plastic stopper and the other chicken is I'd guess a toothpick holder to use as picks to pick-up the eggs.

Sitting bisque girl, marked made In Japan on the bottom, and impressed 120 Made In Japan on back. She wears a green hat, with pink and green flowers on her dress, her hands are close to body, and her feet and toes are outstretched. Size: 4-1/2 inches height, and about 2-/12 by 3 inches depth and width. Has no damage, just the normal Made In Japan Bisque flaws, extra bisque in spots and the like, very cute!
Figural cigarette box, no lid, makes a nice business card holder, or use for keys, mints - whatever. Oriental male with long hair in back, standing 6 inches height and the box is 2-7/8 by 2 inches. Bottom of base is marked: Hand Painted - Made In Japan
This adorable set of salt and pepper shakers are in the shape of elephants. Bottom marked Made in Occupied Japan. This would date them from 1946-1952 when Japan was occupied by the US after WW2. Standing 2.75 in. tall they are in damage free condition but one cork is missing. Easily replaced. Great addition to your shaker and/or Occ. Japan collection.

Two hand painted Occupied Japan figural planters. Circa 1945-1952. Dutch boy with shoe. Size: 4 inches tall; 3 3/4 inches long. Condition: Very good; some crazing. The front of the shoe has a manufacturer's error where the glaze is missing, thus this area has discolored with age. Dutch girl with swan. Size: 3 1/4 inches tall; 3 1/2 inches wide. Condition: Very good. Hairline at center of her left arm. (The one holding the pail.)
Occupied Japan Mexican Man In Sombrero Incense Burner
Hand painted in a variety of bright colors, an Occupied Japan Mexican man incense burner. Young man in a bright yellow sombrero sitting cross-legged on the ground and holding a large covered bowl on his lap. The bowl has three vent holes on top, which are trimmed in gold gilt. At his back, there is an opening to place the incense inside. Circa: 1945-1952. Size: 3 3/4 inches tall; 2 3/4 inches wide. Condition: Very good.
Hand painted European Goldfinch ceramic bird figurine. Red-headed bird perched on a log with its wings outstretched. Made in Occupied Japan. Circa: 1945-1952. Size: 3 inches tall; 3 inches long by 2.25 inches wide. Condition: Very good; bird has a small spot on the side of its tail, which had been done during manufacturing.
Ceramic set, each piece is marked: Made In Japan. The set consists of the pot, creamer, sugar with no lid, and two mugs. All are decorated with embossed fruit; peaches, pears, grapes, lemons, and leaves in mostly mustard yellow, with some browns for a pleasing cheerful set. The pot stands 8 inches height and there is gentle grazing to the set, and the normal manufacturing imperfections, and again the sugar lid is missing. This set was probably only used for display, as there is no staining to the inside of any piece.
White porcelain cup and saucer with flowers in colors of pink and purple with green leaves. The cup and saucer are rimmed in a thin gold line, as well as the cup's handle. Back stamped, Noritake, Made in Occupied Japan.
A lone bottle part of a vinegar and oil cruet set. Has a blue foil sticker on the bottom: Royal Sealy Japan. Size: 5-1/2 inches height, 1-1/4 inch base, with a black band near bottom edge. V has light fading, no chips or cracks.
Cute spice set with a yellow chick on the end of what look to be volumes of books and the spice name is on each as well as the volume number in Roman numerals. Most likely would date to the 1940's thru the 1950's. Each marked Japan on the bottom. Missing the corks, or they are pushed inside. Each measure 3-5/16th inches height, 2-1/2 inches length, and 1-1/4 inch width, with 5 holes on top and a fill hole in the bottom. Nice vintage condition, with a pleasing chick pattern which resembles the one used by Roseville.
Four measuring cups signed Japan in a one cup size, half cup size, ¼ cup size and 1/3 cup size all with slight pour spouts, and all signed on bottom Japan and the cup size, in a nice American patriotic pattern of Eagles and stars. The largest has an inner rim chip.

There is a handle in the burnt orange color, same as his coat. The mini pitcher is bottom stamped in red ink, Made in Occupied Japan. The pitcher measures 2 in. high.

What a nice set! A cup and saucer decorated with raised figures, of a child with a dog; a woman sitting next to a merman (looks more like a man than a woman) complete with fish tail; a child swimming; a child flying on a ribbon; another merman; a person sitting holding a cross with another looking on. This is beautifully hand painted in colors of blue, green, rose, brown, burgundy with gold accents. The design is both on the cup as well as the saucer. The interior of the cup has gold outlined flowers (some colors faded), and the center of the saucer has the same design. The cup has an open worked handle with gold accents. The cup measures 2 1/4 in. high with an opening of 2 1/8 in. dia. and the saucer measures 4 3/4 in. dia. Both the cup and saucer are bottom stamped with a green & gold logo of a wreath over a basket of flowers, and in black, S.G.K., Hand Painted, Occupied Japan.
A pretty plate, reticulated, with a design of flowers in colors of red, pink, yellow, blue and green, with gold accents. The plate is bottom stamped, Made in Occupied Japan. The plate measures 7 in. dia. and comes with a hanger for your wall.
Porcelain covered jar, foil sticker on bottom, which reads: Chase Japan. Jar is 3-1/4 inches in height to tip of lid, and 2-3/4 inches across the rim. No chips or cracks, but some roughness to rim, where it comes into contact with the lid. Has a floral design, and is trimmed with silver, the shape is round.
Miniature Hanging Plate, Occupied Japan, Ucagco. This miniature plate is 4 in diameter. It is trimmed in gold and has a hanging wire on the back. It's in good condition with the Occupied Japan Ucagco mark on the back.
A biscuit or cookie jar with an attached wicker handle. This container stands 5 in. tall plus the handle. There is one tiny glaze miss on the handle holder. I believe from the mfg. process.Bottom marked Made in Occupied Japan in black. This would date it from '46-'52 when all items produced in Japan had to be marked this way. It measures 4.75 in. diameter. Tomato shape with handpainted leaves and decorated stem on the lid. No chips, cracks or repairs. Use, display and enjoy.

This brilliantly colored parrot perched on an orange flower is a painted porcelain wall pocket. It is stamped Occupied Japan on the back. Age is typical of the 40's. Measures 7 inches high. There is an old repair on the base of the tail and one wing where it has been glued back together with a large chip still missing. Price reflects condition.
Ths brightly colored wall pocket is parrot sitting on a tree branch. The color and condition is excellent. This piece measures 5.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It is a wonderful example of Occupied Japan at it's best.

A Toby Mug of a Winking Elderly Gentleman. Marked Made in Occupied Japan. this would date it from '46-'52 for the years Japan was occupied by the US after the 2nd. world war. Stands 4 in. tall and is 3 in. diameter. I find no damage and the colorful glaze is nice and bright.
Here's a porcelain figurine, not signed, but most likely Made In Japan, stands 8-3/4 inches height on a round base of 2-1/4 inches. On arm and hand is against her body and one is extended out. 4 fleabites to front of bustle, under paint, perhaps something once was glued there, can't tell for sure.
Dresser or pin tray, in a pretty blue color with a flower at each end to decorate. Signed on bottom: Made In Japan / Condition: rim has some paint loss or the tiniest of chips from use, and a glaze run on the bottom but is still very lovely. Have two holes on each end if you'd care to add a touch of ribbon or make it a wall hanging. Size: 6-1/2 by 5 inches.
Mij Miniature - Planter / Plant Boxes - Matching Set
Here is a matching set of two tiny planters, I assume. They seem too large for saltcellars; so I'm going with planters, use your own judgment on this one! Are marked 1288 in green on the bottom, plus one has a foil label with R/B - Made In Japan . Size: 2 inches height, 3 inches length, 2 inches width. Each side is decorated with clusters of embossed grapes.
