This exquisite piece of Wheatley is very early, and unlike much of the later wares. To find hand incised and dated pieces of this important pottery is not common. Hand incised on the back T J W and 1880 . This plate is one of Thomas J Wheatley's earliest pieces, as the company was established in 1880, in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is in superb condition.
