Royal Copenhagen

This is a white bisque or jasperware wall plaque made by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark 1969-1974 in the Winter design from a set of 4 plaques called The Four Seasons. The original 4 plaques molded in bas relief, depicted the 4 seasons with designs taken from the life of man. This plaque measures .5 inch thick by 5.45 inches in diameter and is Winter and illustrates old age, and old couple with a cat in the style of the classical Greeks. The designs are taken from the work of Bertel Thorvaldsen who lived from 1770-1844. The design is beautifully done and is quite collectible.

This handpainted Mother robin figurine from Royal Copenhagen (Denmark) measures 3 high x 2.5 x 2.5 and comes in pastel hues of gray, peach, and off white which are indicative of Royal Copenhagen. The figurine was designed by artist Platen Hallermundt. The base is marked: Denmark in green with the three blue wavy lines, 2266 and initials TL in blue under glaze. No chips,cracks or repairs..MINT

This is a Royal Copenhagen 1970 Christmas Rose collector plate. It is blue with a cat and a flower pot of roses sitting in front of a window. There is a snow scene outside the window and it is in excellent condition.

Lovely, excellent condition figurine by Royal Copenhagen. As one can clearly see it is beautifully designed. The figurine is 7-1/4 inches tall and has a 4inches by 3-1/8 inches concave base with a 1/4 inches wide flat, raw porcelain edge around the bottom. From the bottom, the base extends up 1/2 inches and is glazed a pastel green to resemble grass. The, Goose Girl, stands atop the base, one hand on hip, the other holding a stick in front of her. She is dressed in a white, ankle length apron over her dark blue ankle length dress, Her shawl collar is a lighter shade of blue and criss-crossed across her chest and extending back over her shoulders, ending in a point that is tucked into the belt around her waist. Her soft brown hair is pulled back from her face and covered with a light blue scarf with beige polka dots, the ends tied under her chin and tucked inside her collar. On her feet are brown dutch wood shoes. To one side is the white goose she is moving along with her stick. The bottom is stamped with ROYAL COPENHAGEN in a circle around a crown in the center and Denmark below in dark green. Beneath this mark is the three rows of wavy lines and FN off to the side in blue. Finally, beneath this is the number 528 in dark green. All the stamps are underglaze and clearly stamped. From the markings on the bottom I believe this piece dates to sometime between 1975-1979. Retail value is $189.95 and higher.

A vintage resting tern figurine, designed by Christian Thomsen for Royal Copenhagen in 1907, and which is in excellent condition. The mark on its underside indicates it was made in 1966. Length: 10 ¼ ; height: 3 ¾ .

Flower Pot, Kalanchoe with Lady Bee. This is an unusual and colorful pot. It is 4 5/8 tall and 5 across. There is a cute lady bee embossed on one side. The base is decorated with light green stripes. It is in like-new condition. The bottom has a Lady Bee Pot Kalanchoe label.

Vintage set of three Copenhagen angel figurines which are an off white in color and measure 3.75 high. (They were probably made around the 1950-1960s) Two angels are holding books and singing, the other is playing a horn. There is very little detail, but would be a lovely addition to a holiday display. Marked on bases with three waves and Denmark, BUT not marked with Royal Copenhagen markings. No cracks, chips or repairs - excellent condition.

Flower Pot, Mosaic Furniture, Hand Crafted. This absolutely exquisite flower pot is 6 1/2 tall and 8 1/2 across the top. The pot has five cherubs sculpted around the top edge. It is ALL HANDCRAFTED WORKMANSHIP! The outside of the pot below the cherubs consists of mosaic beige pieces against a gray background, interspersed with more sculptured flowers. The natural body of the pot is metal and it weighs 4 3/4 lbs. The instructions and recommendations for care and use are on the bottom of the pot. It is an absolutely exquisite and unique piece in new condition in as new condition. It is recommended to be used only either inside the house or under a roofed patio.

1978 Hans Christian Andersen, The Little Mermaid plate. This is a collector plate made by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, Numbered 9628, signed VX and fully marked on back of plate. It also includes original box, paper work and a display stand. The box has some damage but the plate and stand are in excellent condition. The plate measures 7 5/8 inches in diameter. 07pdp493

It is marked on base in green: Royal Copenhagen Denmark ~ crown in center and 3 blue waves. The dot under the D in Denmark indicates the piece was produced in 1955. Excellent condition

Royal Copenhagen (Denmark) produced this blue and white 7 porcelain plate in 1962. The plate features The Little Mermaid at Wintertime (bronze statue of a mermaid sitting on a stone looking endlessly out to sea) and because of the special nature of this motif, Royal Copenhagen never named a specific artist. This vintage handpainted sitting cat appears to be gazing in a trance. From Royal Copenhagen (Denmark), the cat is plain grey and white, stands approximately 5 high and was designed by artist Andrea Nielsen. It is marked in green on the base: Royal Copenhagen with the crown in the center~Denmark~3 blue waves~1803 and initials of IV (painter). There is a dot under H in Copenhagen which dates the piece between 1967-1974. No chips,cracks, or repairs...MINT
