This is a fun semi porcelain large mug or tankard made for Harry Hancock, Tunstall Staffordshire England 1914-1930s called A Yorkshireman's Advice To His Son. The mug measures 4 inches high by 4 inches in diameter and has a color drawing and the so called Yorkshire Motto See All, Hear All, Say Nowt, Eat All, Sup All, Pay Nowt and more. The mug is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks but there is minor wear and manufacturing flaws underglaze. These mugs were made with crested china in the Hancock factory during the war by unskilled labor and so are not up to Samuel Hancock standard but are very fun pieces of humor and British history.

This is a lovely fluted 3 inch tall bone china vintage tea or coffee mug from Royal Grafton China, England. The pretty mug has a lovely design of pink, gray and burgundy roses and gold trim and is in very good ++ condition with just minor gold loss. This pretty mug was made in the 1950s.

This is a great vintage coffee cup or tea cup and saucer with a black transfer or transferware sailing ship with hand painted mulberry or purple luster decoration. The teacup and saucer was made by Grays pottery, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England and the cup is 2.5 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.75 inches in diameter. The set is in excellent condition with no chips, crack or wear. A neat bit of transferware and lustre decoration.

This is a mug by Dunoon China, Scotland in a winter snow scene design in a set called Christmas Past in stoneware made in the 1990s before production moved to Staffordshire, England. The mug is in the Devon shape and measures 4.15 inches by 3 inches in diameter and features a snow scene of a village street with a church, and a horse drawn wagon delivering logs which could also be used as a Christmas or holiday mug. This design was actually discontinued several years ago, but I found several at an estate auction. The mug is in excellent, mint condition with no chips or cracks.

An elaborate handled cup with saucer and lid, probably a pot du creme. Exquisitely decorated in the Moriage style of Japan, although there are strong French indications also. No mark. Very thin, translucent porcelain. In excellent condition.

This is a wonderful antique tea cup and saucer made by Taylor And Kent, Staffordshire England 1912-1928 in a slightly modified imari pattern. The imari colors are there, hand painted on sepia transfer but the acccenting color is an unusual lime green which is very attractive. The cup is 2.5 high, the saucer is 5.5 in diameter and the cup and saucer are in excellent condition. Beautiful!

This is an antique English cabinet cup and saucer made fr Thomas Goode, Ltd. England between 1918-1927. The cup is saucer is gorgeous. Thomas Goode of London is a premier upscale goods ship that was established in 1827 and still is in business. They are famous for designing and commissioning fabulous china, furniture and other items from the most famous manufactureres know. The items are often only marked, as this is, Reserved To Thomas Goode Company, Ltd in the United Kingdom. The design is all hand painted and features floral bouquets on pale blue panels alternating with panels of heavy gold arabesques with a fancy ring handle and further gold trim. The cup is 2.45 inches high by 4 in diameter and the saucer is 5.5 in diameter. Another of the unique things about this cup and saucer is that the cup was broken at some time and repaired with metal staples. During the time that the cup was mended, repairs were done by jewelers and, as an expensive process, were only carried out on the most valuable china. There are collectors for just such items. It is a gorgeous set.

This is a new mug by Dunoon China, Staffordshire England in a set called Cottage Life designed by Richard Partis, all sold separately. The bone china mug is in the Devon shape and measures 4.15 inches by 3 inches in diameter. This design was actually discontinued several years ago, but I pestered Dunoon into ransacking the archives and finding me some overlooked patterns. This mug is a Cotswold stone village with children, geese, a woman rocking a cradle and generally nostalgic scenes from the close of the victorian era by a well loved artist. The mug is new therefore perfect with original sticker.

This is a fabulous miniature tea cup and saucer made in Occupied Japan between 1945-1952 and is marked Occupied Japan. The mini cup and saucer has a heavy gold moriage applied design over a cobalt blue band on white with a lovely floral bouquet in the cup. The cup measures 1 inch high by 1.5 inch in diameter and the saucer is 2.25 inches in diameter. The very collectible Occupied Japan miniature cup and saucer has it's own black wooden stand that is also marked Occupied Japan. This bone china teacup and saucer set features a pretty spray of apple blossoms and lilacs on the front and back of the cup and on the saucer. Both pieces are slightly scalloped and trimmed with gold. The cup is 3 tall by nearly 3-1/4 diameter at the rim, the saucer is 5-3/4 diameter. I can see some minor, light crazing to the cup under magnification, otherwise it's in very good condition with no damage. Both pieces are marked Jason Bone China, Made in England.
