Vintage Pottery Planter With Lord's Prayer Decal Decoration
This is a vintage pottery planter with a 'The Lord's Prayer' decal decoration. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dings or other damage. There is a maker's mark on the bottom but it is so faded and smeared that I can't read it. There is also a raised star and a raised line that is part of the mold. I have not been able to identify this with any certain maker. If any of you know the maker of this planter, please let me know. This measures 7 1/4 long, 3 3/8 wide and 6 5/16 tall. Be sure and check the photos as they are part of the description and will do better than I can in giving you an idea as to the condition and quality of the piece. I don't think that this has ever been used as there is absolutely no staining on the inside of the planter. Happy Collecting !!!!!
This is a very nice, antique, etruscan style pitcher. This pitcher is NOT marked. I did some research and found one other very much like it. The seller said that it is by Josiah Wedgwood or a company called Dudson Pottery. Both are circa 1875. This pitcher is approx. 5.75 inches tall. It has two very small chips; one is on the rim, and the other is on the side, under the handle. I took pictures of both. I am attaching pictures. If you have any questions, please e-mail. Thanks. Lurleen
This is a small porcelain bluebirds figurine. It measures 2 9/16 diameter and 2 1/16 tall. We do not know the maker or country of origin. There are no chips or cracks. Be sure and check the photographs for more information on the condition and quality of the item. The coloring of the birds in the first photo is way off..I will try and replace it but the other pictures more represent the true colors of the figurine. Happy Collecting !!!!

Vintage pottery vase. I am fairly confident this is a Camark vase but it could be another company. Gloss green/aqua vase with dry white clay bottom. The bottom clay is worn and smooth indicating it is an older one; likely 1930's. It is 4 inches tall x 6 wide from outer edge to other side. It has some crazing and some leftover mineral residue on the interior, but not chips or cracks. A couple of tiny pindots
Vintage Camark Pottery flower pot. 99% sure it is Camark now even though this item has no maker's mark on it. There are various sizes of the identical flower pot shown in the book including a 4 inch. Same swirl pattern with ruffled rim. It is an oldie and is 4 inches tall x 4.5 wide. Drainage hole in bottom. Some minor age/wear, but no chips or cracks. Age est: 1930's-40's; thick, dry aged bottom rim. See D. Giffords 1999 book, pg. 199. Perfect for an African Violet plant! 6/13scsr
Vintage crouching dog planter. This cutie has no chips or cracks; some leftover mineral residue on interior. It is 7 inches long x 4 tall. I know I have seen this dog in one of my books but I can't find him now. He is heavy and well-made. A cutie for your nursery, novelty or doggie collection! 5/13estcs
Vintage kitty cat planter. Very cute; not sure who made it but 99% sure it is vintage USA due to weight, detail and the fact that is is pottery not ceramic. It is 4.75 tall. No chips or cracks. A bit of leftover dirt on the interior bottom, and some interior crazing. Possibly Cameron Clay Products or FAPCO; both companies made novelties that resemble other USA companies products and are no longer in business. A real cutie for your cat or novelty collection! 4/13est
Vintage rocking cradle planter. It has a 'U.S.A' mark on its bottom. One side has 2 puppy dogs; other side reads: Rock A Bye Baby with a rattle. The side with the wording has some dark crazing; other side is fine. No chips or cracks. One dark spider line on rim edge, looks like a hairline but it isn't; just a spider line, see pic #8. This cradle is 7.5 long x 4.75 wide x 5 tall. I do not know which American company made it, but it likely dates from the 1930's to 40's. It's a very cute, well-made planter. FAPCO or Cameron Clay products are possible since it is not in my other books. 4/13smc
Vintage turquoise vase. Purchased from a nice estate sale. Attractive vase. The bottom edge of the rim is very smooth indicating some age to it but it is not marked and I do not know its true age or maker. It stands 3.5 tall x 4.5 wide. No chips or cracks. It resembles vintage CA studio pottery; no mold lines and it has ridges so it was likely made on a pottery wheel vs. a factory mold. 3/13est
Vintage happy frog playing banjo planter. I love this froggie! Flat dry white bottom. Colors are very vivid though it doesn't look as good in the pictures. I thought sure this was an American Bisque item, but I cannot locate it in my book. Perhaps Cardinal China, CCP or FAPCO or some other American company. Well-made, heavy, no chips or cracks. Has a glaze pop over one eye. He stands 5 inches tall. If you don't have ton of space, these cute novelty planters are great to collect and display on a windowsill or display rack since they are small and colorful! 1/13estcs
Vintage rabbit planter. It has a faint incised USA mark near side bottom edge, see pic #5. It must have been cold painted at one time; a bit of pink paint residue remaining on its inner ear. You could re-paint it to make it more realistic. Fill it with easter grass and some jelly beans at Easter time for a cute display. It stands almost 6 inches tall x 5 long. No chips or cracks. Well made American pottery. 1/13brcs
Vintage USA double shoe planter. Not sure which company made these; could be Shawnee, RRP, Brush, McCoy, Niloak, Cameron, FAPCO, etc. They have a block USA mark on bottom. Nice condition. They stand 3.5 tall x almost 5 long x 4 deep. Cute collectible pottery; and these vintage shoes don't take up a lot of space! The other shoes in one of the pics are being sold separately. 1/13scsr
Vintage lustre and gold finish wallpocket. Birdhouse with birds and flowers. It is similar to the Shawnee wallpocket, but not identical. It is heavy, so I do believe it is American made, but it is not marked. It has no chips or cracks and stands 6 inches tall x 5.25 wide x 2.5 deep. There is some old mineral residue on the interior. 11/12
Vintage green bulb bowl. Neat design on it; 3 stilt marks. No chips or cracks; has some glaze skips and pin pops; gouges in the clay. Age est: 1920's-30's. It looks like something McCoy or Brush McCoy would have made. There are a little bit of mineral deposits on the interior so that is why I believe it is a bulb bowl and not a pie dish. It is 2.25 tall x 9.75 wide. Cool old piece of pottery! 10/12s
Vintage Stanley Kelloggs vase. c: 1908-1972. No chips or cracks. It is deep green with brown specks. It stands 3.5 tall. Not sure if this is a vase; flower frog; or incense holder. Whatever it is, there is not a lot of Kelloggs pottery around. 10/12smc
This is a cute, southwest style chip and dip tray, manufactured by Chaparrel Pottery. I cannot find any information on this company so I do not know how old this piece is. Vintage blended glaze, hand formed dish garden. It is an oldie, but has a couple of minor flaws. Three tiny fleaspecks off upper rim; some wear on interior floor of vase, and some surface scratches on exterior. It is heavy and since it has some flaws, you can feel free to use it! It is 2.5 tall x 7 wide from rim to rim, or 9.5 total width. This type of vase looks great with polished river rocks and some faux plants in them; see photo of some other dish gardens! 10/11gcs
Very nice vintage aqua vase. Has raised block USA mark on bottom and dry rim. Looks like Ransbottom or Shawnee. It is 8 inches tall x 6 wide. No chips or cracks. Perfect size vase to use or display! 8/11scsr
Neat vintage aqua pottery vase. Looks like a McCoy, Brush McCoy or possibly Shawnee item. There are numbers and maybe letters on bottom but it's hard to make out. This vase looks like a 1930's item. It is 6 tall x 5 wide. No chips or cracks. 7/11gscs

Cute miniature vase or planter with lamb. It might be Shawnee, as they made a lot of miniatures, but have not located this one in my book. It is 4 inches tall, no chips or cracks, no maker's mark. 3/11intestcs
Very nice vintage cello planter wallpocket. Likely a Goldra E. Palentine Ohio novelty. Great to root plants in. Has an eyehole for hanging. 22K gold. Thick, heavy for its small size. It is 8 tall x 3.5 wide. 3/11intestcs

Very cool vintage triple planter vase. No chips or cracks. It is 8 long x 2.5 tall. Nice for a windowsill with candles at holiday time, or with small plants! I also have a similar one in a pink color. I think they are RRP but could be another American company. 9/10utcs
Lovely vintage USA matte white vase with embossed tulip design. Very nice display and usable condition. It looks like a Shawnee item but it's not. Shawnee and Cameron Clay products made one with 3 tulips. It is a nice size planter for an orchid or African Violet. Stands 5.5 tall x 5.25 wide. 9/10utcs
Vintage, three-part pottery serving tray. Deep green serving tray with three flower-shaped bowls having ribbed petals. Metal ring handle. Circa: 1940's-1960's. Size: 2.5 inches tall; 11.75 inches long. Manufacturer: Unknown, though I attribute this piece to one of the US pottery companies. Condition: Very good; several small paint / glaze chips along rims.
Great 1950s Japan Dog Playing Banjo Toothpick Holder
Great 1950s Japan Dog Playing Banjo Toothpick Holder Has a hole in top - appears to be a toothpick holder or similar. It measures 3 3/4 high It has no flaws such as chips or cracks. Incised Japan on back
Blue art pottery vase, 6 3/4 in. high, double-handled which look like they were put on by hand, 3 1/4 in. top diameter. Probably of recent make, no makers mark or labels. Has nice weight to it. A simple design with lovely color for any decor!
Very nice vintage powder blue jardinaire. Raised leaves and berry design. No chips or cracks; one pin dot glaze pop on rim edge. Dry bottom with an incised number or letter. Cannot make it out. I think this might be an UHL item. It stands 7 tall x 8 wide. It is very heavy and well made. Much nicer than the pictures are showing it. 3/10actest#2969
Cute little vintage pot and saucer. Incised #310 mark. Perhaps Camark, Morton or Shawnee. It is 3.5 tall x 3.75 wide at top. It is an old one too; thick, dry, worn bottom rim and drainage hole. 8/09rogscs
Vintage bunny planter. Cute as can be! 99% sure it is vintage USA, but it is not marked. Heavier than a Japan novelty; probably American Bisque, Cameron Clay Products, or FAPCO. It stands 5 tall x 6.5 long. Sweet, no chips or cracks. Incised #2 on bottom. Great for Easter decor! Add some grass & jelly beans! 8/09brcs
Vintage bird planter. I believe it depicts a Woodpecker. Very cool old planter; 99% sure it is vintage USA although not marked. It is heavier than a Japan novelty would be. Likely Royal Copley or Morton Pottery. It stands almost 10 inches tall. Just one tiny chip on bottom rim, (dab it with some matching paint). 7/09flcs
Vintage Hand Painted Blue Floral Vinegar Oil Cruets Bottles
Beautiful Vintage Pair of Hand Painted Blue Floral Vinegar and Oil Cruets or Bottles. This is such a cute set! It has delicate hand painted blue and white flower on the vine, Vinegar and Oil is hand painted on both sides, the artist's signature, L. Dawson, is on one side of each piece. They are 4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches long including the handle/spouts by 2 1/2 inches across, estimate the age on these to be from the 1920's to 1940's. Both are in excellent condition, no chips, one is missing the inner liner that seals the lid to the bottle, should be easy to replace. They would be an excellent addition to your collection or kitchen!
Three vintage herb pottery jars. You can purchase these all together or I also have them listed separately. All are 4.25 tall, all have different color clay on bottoms. One has a mark on bottom but it is obscured; it might be a Bybee Pottery vase, mixed blend dark aqua color. Next is the aqua one with roseville type clay on dry bottom, some pinpops and gauges in clay but no chips or cracks. Last is the blue one w/deep tan/yellowish clay on bottom; some pops and gauges in clay one tight 1/2 circular crack near top rim, hardly visible;. All are hand formed vases. Great to put on the deck with herbs or sedums in them! 08/09vari
Vintage hand thrown herb vaes. Runny glaze, Roseville-like dry clay bottom. Likely made in the Roseville, Ohio area by one of the pottery companies in the 1930's. It is 4 tall x 4.5 wide. No chips or cracks; has some clay gouges/pinpops and one spot where it looks like another color in the glaze did not blend. Great for the patio table with herbs or sedums in it! 1/09abb-estcs
Large vintage planter. It has a Burley Winter like glaze on it, but I do not see this planter shape in my book. However, this is a pretty standard type of planter and the BW book mainly shows 'art' pottery. This item was also purchased at same estate as a recently added identified BW vase. This heavy-duty planter, (or vase), has buff clay on dry bottom and is 9.75 wide x 8.5 tall. Great for indoors or out; will fit into a mission style room perfectly! #2092esa6/08
Vintage Art Pottery Pitcher. This pitcher has very unique coloring, the base color on it is a very light whitish gray, the top has a blueish green drip, one side has some blue on the side of the pitcher. The inside of the pitcher also has the whitish gray with blue coloring, it measures about 10 1/4 inches tall, no markings on the bottom as to who made it, however it is a very nice quality piece. It would be a terrific addition to your collection or lovely to serve with!
Antique Black Pottery Vase White Hand Painted Flowers
Antique Black Pottery Vase White Hand Painted Flowers. I would estimate that this vase dates to the early 1900's to the 1920's. It has handpainted white flowers on a green stem on the front, the remaining three sides each side have a white blossom and leaf on them. It measures about 8 1/4 inches tall, the bottom is marked 9/8 and is it in good condition, no chips or loss of the black paint but does have what may have been a mold type mark/chip on the bottom that is covered in the black paint. It would be a beautiful addition to your collection!
Vintage USA pillow planter vase. Likely a 1940's Floraline McCoy. Nice, deep, dark, matte green with incised USA mark on bottom. No chips or cracks. It is 4.25 tall x 6 long x 3.5 deep. McCoy book by Hanson, page 281, Vol. 3, shows identical planter, called a small pillow vase in the olive green, so this may have been made earlier. esa-cs-9/07
Vintage USA swan vase. It is heavy and has incised USA mark on the bottom. This one has a dry rim. No chips or cracks, just a bit of cold paint missing on the beak. It is 4 tall x 6.5 long. My guess would be Brush McCoy or Shawnee. Perfect for the swan collector!
Vintage USA Vase. Caramel color exterior, and burgandy interior. It is showing up as yellow in the pictures, but it is caramel, not yellow. has incised mark on bottom: USA #1304. No chips or cracks; 7.75 wide x 4.75 tall. McCoy scandia line?
Vintage USA matte green vase. Nice vase; it looks like a Floraline McCoy vase, but the mark is a bit different that what I am used to seeing on Floralines, so perhaps it is UPCO since both companies made similar items. No chips or cracks, and an incised USA 518 mark. It is 5.5 wide x 3 tall.
Tall vintage vase. Two handled vase with what appears to be hand painted oak leaves that are glazed over. This vase is 9.25 tall and 4.75 wide. No chips or cracks. 3 stilt marks on the bottom; dry interior. This vase is not marked and I do not know who made it; however, the auction it was purchased at contained hundreds of pieces of vintage American pottery including Weller, McCoy, Hull, Roseville, etc. It is quite heavy and had a piece of felt on the bottom when purchased which I removed to see if it was marked. Possibly an unusual early Weller Pottery line. Great for long stemmed roses!
For sale is a vintage USA vase. Heavy vase with pale blue exterior and white interior gloss vase. Incised USA mark on bottom and an incised number of which I cannot make out. No chips or cracks and is 3.25 tall x 9 wide, and is quite heavy. Not sure who made this one, might be Shawnee, since they marked a lot of their pottery with just the USA mark.
Vintage Staffordshire yellow bud vase. Triple fence and tree bud vase. This vase is not marked but an identical one that had a stamp mark was shown on another website. Made by Empire Works, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire England around 1934. The stamp mark must have worn off this one or they forgot to stamp it. This vase is 5.25 tall x 7.5 wide. Some crazing and a hairline on bottom that circles the bottom horizontal fencing and has a tiny fleaite near the hairline. A rather neat item despite the flaw. You can seal that with superglue to prevent any further damage. You could display it with vintage flower frogs in a mini-terrarium; put some silk flowers in it, e.g., trailing ivy.
Attractive vintage nautilus shell vase. This vase looks like something Haeger Pottery Co. would have made, and does have the 3 stilt marks on the bottom of it. It is a gloss aqua with a bit of magenta mixed in. No chips or cracks and stands 3.75 tall x 6 wide. It would look nifty in a bathroom filled with pot pourri or pretty bath soaps if you have this color in your rooms! (This might also be Frankoma)
Vintage Savoy? gold vase. This is a very heavy gold painted vase. I thought it might be a McCoy but did not come across it in my books and someone e-mailed to say it is a 24K 'Savoy'. It is 8 long x 4 wide x 2.5 tall. It had a piece of felt on the bottom when purchased, which I removed to see if it was signed or not. It is a very lovely vintage; hard to see in the pictures, but it has a leaf design on it. (there is some leftover floral goop in this vase)
Pastel green vintage Norton Pottery planter. Cool retro heavy-duty planter with incised mark: Norton USA 313. It looks just like a McCoy item. The only Norton I can find in Lehner's is Ann Norton of Clay Craft Studios; and F.B. Norton Pottery, which would be too early for this item; and Norton & Fenton, also too early. Clay Craft is a possibility. Or, perhaps there was an short-lived offshoot company of McCoy or Morton Pottery. This vase/planter is in excellent condition and is 10.5 long x 4 wide x 3 high. It is heavier than a comparable Abingdon vase, which as you know, is one of the heaviest old potteries out there. Age est:1930's-50's. This style vase looks great with polished river rocks and some faux plants, see photos.
Williamsburg Pottery pitcher and creamer. (both for one price). Williamsburg Pottery, VA. Collectible pottery, but not vintage. Rather, they are copied pieces of early-american pottery, but are very well-made and quite heavy. One is a little creamer with incised mark, no chips or cracks and measures 4 wide x 2.75 tall. The other is a little pitcher with incised mark on bottom, no chips or cracks, and is about 5.25 tall.
Vintage pedestal vase. It has incised fish circling the vase. This vase does have the type of dry runners on the bottom that both American Bisque and Brush McCoy usually have, so it could be either one of those, or some other company. It measures 5.5 wide at top rim and is 6.5 high. No chips or cracks, and would fit in well with contemporary, mission, country, even or arts & crafts style decor.
Dahmer hand thrown pottery vase. Very rich looking vase that has a faint mark on bottom which looks like: Dahmer. It is about 5 high x 5.5 wide. No chips or cracks, and has a semi-gloss brown glaze with tan interior. Looks great with other stoneware, mission, or southwest style pottery. brcs
Vintage USA vase. (or planter). Lovely little pedestal vase with an under-glaze USA mark. (You will have to look long and hard to find it though, it is in the crease of the pot, where the top sits on the pedestal part. This pot is in very good condition, no chips, cracks, or mineral deposits. It is an olive green, and has a dry bottom, which leads me to believe it is either an old UPCO or Hull, but could possibly be Brush-McCoy. It measures 7 long x 5 wide x 4 high.
Vintage USA vase. Heavy green drip glaze vase/planter that is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. It has three dry feet and has an underglaze USA mark, as well as what appears to be a number 7. This looks like either a Brush-McCoy or UPCO pot to me. It measures 3.5 high x 5.75 wide. Just a nice, solid vintage pot that you can use or display!
Signed stoneware vase. (marked). Signed stoneware vase that has has multi-colors of tan, beige, caramel, and even a bit of navy blue. This vase is very thick and heavy, (weighs 3 lbs!). and measures 6.5 high x 3.5 wide. No chips or cracks just faint all-over crazing. It is signed on the bottom: P then two vertical lines and a . It looks like an Ann Arbor Art Fair type of item. If you're not familiar with the AAAF, it is one of the premier art fairs in the country, featuring very expensive art in all forms!
Vintage triple planter vase. RRP Roseville Pottery? Very cute planter/vase with gold trim. It measures 8.5 long x 2.5 high w/no chips or cracks. Heavy, but unmarked. I believe it is an RRP Roseville, (there are some taller vases with the same colors/pattern shown in the book). This planter has a dry bottom rim, and is quite well made.
Vintage pedestal vase. Nice retro, heavy matte white pedestal vase that has the remnants of a paper label on the bottom, but is otherwise unmarked. I just saw an identical one like this while out at an antique store closing, and it was marked: Cal Origs, (California Originals), so that may be the maker of this vase. It is heavy, well-made, and has no chips or cracks and measures 5 wide at top rim by 5.25 high. This style was popular in the 1950's.
Vintage green urn style urn vase. Matte green unmarked urn style vase. It has a dry bottom and is very heavy with nice details, and looks like it is from the 50's-early 60's. No chips or cracks, just one tiny glaze miss on the side scrolly area. It measures 9.5 wide x 6 high. My guess is Haeger Pottery but I don't have time to go through that book, (it has thousands of items in it!)
CP aqua pottery vase or bowl. Marked with an incised mark: C P USA on the bottom within a banner type logo. This could be Cook Pottery, Trenton, N.J., 1893-1959, but have not located the specific symbol in Lehner's Book of Marks, just the C P, pg. 107. On other websites they have this mark listed as Cookson and California, so who knows? Anyway, it is a nice vintage piece of pottery with a dry bottom rim, and no chips or cracks. It measures 7 inches across.
Vintage pottery bowl or vase. Very heavy; not marked, but it looks like it might be a Zanesville Stoneware item because it does have yellowish clay which is characteristic of Zanesville pottery, or possibly Bauer. It has a bottom dry rim, and it has some pinpops, also characteristic of Zanesville. In any event, this is an older piece as you can see from the bottom rim which is very smooth and aged. No chips or cracks, and measures 5 across the top rim. A very nice piece to add to your aqua collection.
Gorgeous vintage cornocopia vase. It is 8.5 x 8.5 inch ivory colored vase with gold trim and pink, blue and yellow flowers, mint green leaves, and a soft yellow bottom. It has all-over faint crazing, and no chips or cracks. Unfortunately it is not marked so I do not know who made it. It is a beauty and I am confident it is American made. brcs
Vintage USA bud vase. Likely Shawnee; marked #676 USA on bottom. Dry rim, white clay, measures about 6 high x 2 wide. Heavy for its size. No chips or cracks, just one small uneven brush mark on vase, solid color glazes are the hardest to get even, at least that's what all the books say.
Vintage vase planter. Smooth tan/light rust/carmel color, measuring 6.5 across x about 4 tall, with 4 unglazed feet. Not marked, but looks like it could be Brush-McCoy or Camark Pottery or some other similar pottery. No chips or cracks, but there is one small rub/wear mark where the glaze missed on the rim which is so small it is hard to photograph.
