Manufacturer: The Brush-McCoy Pottery Co.
Antique brown onyx pottery vase. c: 1910-1930's. Likely Brush-McCoy or McCoy. It is marked like a lot of my Brush McCoy onyx pieces with a #742 at bottom and dry rim. Age est: c.1920-30's. Very nice, heavy vase. Both McCoy and BM made the onyx line, but 99% sure it is BM Pottery. It is 8 high x about 4 7/8 inches wide at top rim. A similar 8 inch onyx vase shown in Huxford's 1978 book, with 1996 updated values, was listed at $70-$115. No chips or cracks, just some glaze imperfections on one side of it that you can see in the pictures. (two small glaze misses). The interior has what appears to be some mineral deposits.
