Shelley Black Footed Oleander w/Pink Summer Glory cup & saucer. Porcelain. England. c. 1945-1955. Very striking & unique! The shape is Footed Oleander. Cup & saucer are both relief molded in the form of the petals of an oleander flower. The pattern has the very desirable chintz pink ground Summer Glory transfer with flowers in pink, purple, blue & white; green & gray leaves inside cup. Colored matte black on cup exterior and all over saucer (done by groundlaying the color). Liquid burnished gold edges, solid handle & foot. The photos don’t do it justice. Hard to find this combination of shape, transfer pattern and exterior & saucer color. CONDITION: Excellent / Near Mint (pings). A special piece for any chintz or Shelley collection.
