What's New in the Collector's Showcase of Architectural Antiques?

These antique tiles are spectacular. The sale is for a set of 2 tiles (although 4 are shown in the second picture). The set includes one large tiles and the smaller capping tile. The larger tiles measure 6" by 4.25". The smaller tiles which cap them measure 6" by 2.25". They were made by the Trent Tile Company. They have a very French look with ribbons, flowers, fruit and swags. They are in very good condition with hardly any fleabites. Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance.  This is an antique grate or vent. I've always viewed the heating and airconditioning vents in newer houses as eyesores. If you were to check Kathryn McNerney's book, Antique Iron Identification and Values, a smaller grate is valued at $315-$325. This one measures approximately 13.5 by 9.5". They are in excellent condition and the glass on this set (two knobs) is clear and beautiful and the knobs have a mercury glass center starburst. I have many other great antique items listed. Antique Victorian Fireplace Tile tile $22.00
Originally the sale was going to be for one brick (I have two). Then when I was using it for various propping purposes it struck me that they would make knockout bookends. So now the auction is for 2 designer bricks. You could use them as signature pieces in some architectural endeavor. However, if you win the auction I will graciously allow you to use them as you wish. These bricks have a wonderful look. They measure approximately 7.75" square and 4.75" deep with a deep curving inset for the center design. They are in excellent condition. They each weigh almost 13 pounds. Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance. Please view my other listings.  These antique iron andirons have a great look. They are somewhat ornate and have a pleasing (to me) rusty patina. I particularly like band encircling the stem of the andirions. They are made to hold big logs. If you were to check Kathryn McNerney's book, Antique Iron Identification and Values, similar andirons (which I don't think are as good) are valued at $150-$210. The sale is for the two andirons. I have pictured them with some great antique fireplace tiles currently listed and an art deco firescreen. They measure approximately 15.5" tall, extend 15.5" back and 9" wide at the base. They are painted tin and relatively light in weight, They include The two columns and center panel with medallion. You could do so many things with them: mount them outside over a doorway, use them for a fireplace surround, put them around a mirror or a headboard and more. I will graciously allow the buyer to decide. It measures approximately 58" wide and 72" high. I have placed antique Victorian fireplace tiles on the inside that are not included in the sale. It is marked Trent on the back. The Trent Tile Company operated in New Jersey from the late 1800's. The tiles have a mottled color of green, amber and white. They are in very good condition with very few fleabites if any and have the allover pleasing crazing that almost all antique tiles have. They measure 6" by 1.5". The sale is for the 6 beautiful antique tiles pictured. They have a raised design. They are in very good condition with very few fleabites. They were made by the Trent Tile Company and are pictured in leading collector Norman Karlson's book: American Art Tile. They measure 6" by 3". Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance. We have other antique tiles listed currently. We accept Paypal, checks and money orders.  The sale is for this beautiful antique Victorian tile. It was salvaged from a Philadelphia mansion. The tile measures 6" square. It is in very good condition with a pleasing fine allover crazing that almost all antique tiles have and few flaws to the glaze. It is marked on the back: ROBERTSON. The price is $45.00 per tile. Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance.  These encaustic floor tiles date about 1880 and are matte glaze with a multi color mosaic pattern. Each is 6 5/8" square. Four tiles form a complete pattern. Classic design and look and perfect for a hearth, floor, or other project! Sold in sets of 4, all are in good condition with minimal edge nips.
