Albino? Circus Freak? Dead or Alive?

I just can't begin to describe how weird this antique late 19th century walnut framed large format photograph of a very scary man! I really doubt he is Post Mortem, blind maybe, but his eyes are so ...

Gentlemans hair is sketched in and his general demeanor, truly pallid.

Lord of the Rings Ring Wraiths or Morti Viventi to a macabre extreme!

Wood frame is an especially nice 1873 C.L. Eastlake spoon carved and dense walnut, yet another surprise is the surviving original picture framers paper advertisement taped on the back. Hale Kilburn Co. 6th St. Philadelphia Pa.

Opera vixen, Cajun cutie? I'm not sure but this large chalkware bust is bold and beautiful.  Exquisite antique Macaw parrot like bird of boldly colored tinsel foil on black colored thick glass in wonderful period wooden frame dated 1829  Mid 19th century Gothic Revival antique wooden Victorian wallpocket and magazine document holder.  This is a truly inspiring antique Victorian print, a perfect example of in-Spirit art! This whimsical scene features three young and beautiful musical angels serenading a precious sleeping baby in a wicker bassinet. This peaceful, serene scene also features a charming little Villa surrounded by flowers and greenery. The bottom left corner of this print has the artist’s signature, "L.A. Tessier", and is dated, "1905". Under the signature, hidden under the frame, reads, "Copyright by Braun Clement & Co.". The artist’s full name is, Louis Adolphe Tessier. He is a famous listed French artist, b-1858 - d-1915. The angel’s faces are angelic and their expression, heavenly. Beautiful, fine details throughout. This print is in excellent original condition. The frame is original to the print and is very elaborate. The frame is painted a complimentary cream color and is molded wood. Trimming the frame is a lovely wreath and ribbon pattern, decoratively incised and painted gold. A beautiful contrast to the cream color. The frame has a few scuffs and a little age-appropriate wear to the finish. There are also several missing chips to the outer molding of the frame. Despite this unfortunate slight damage, the frame remains very attractive. Original wavy glass. Missing paper backing. Old hanger. Circa 1905.

THEY ARE GREAT AND AS FOUND.  This is a lovely antique solid mahogany wood plaque. Within the center of this plaque is a beautiful piece of porcelain Limoge transferware in the pretty shape of a medallion. The enchanting romantic scene features an attractive young lady in an elegant green dress, partially topless and reading a book. Standing and leaning beside her on the bench is an adorable cherubic little cupid. The fine details and colors of this transfer are fantastic, such as the woman’s beautiful romantic harp that sits beside her feet and the Cupid’s quiver that lays on the bench beside him. This inviting and heart-warming scene doesn’t end there. Bordering the scene and applied to the porcelain Limoge, is a beautiful hand-painted, shapely decorative pattern. A soft, rich, burgundy-colored velvet matting frames the Limoge, adding even more texture, depth, and richness to this fascinating plaque. The porcelain, transfer, and applied decoration is in beautiful excellent original condition. The velvet trim matting is also in excellent original condition, except that the top half of the velvet has become a slightly darker shade of burgundy. - hardly noticeable. The attractive, antique mahogany wood frame has a little age-appropriate wear - a few light scratches to the finish and two small chips in the top right corner edge of frame. Overall, this frame has a beautiful old patina. The back of the Limoge is exposed and is stamped, "Limoge France" and within the symbol reads, "WG & Co.". Both of the paper backings to the Limoge and frame are torn and missing. Old metal hanger. Circa 1920’s.

Lovely set, handpainted by a clients great great grandma, Mattie C. Prentis Watson...she was Prentis in 1883, got married and became a Watson. CFH porcelain or china, Haviland, I believe. This woman did incredible hand painted porcelain and china with skill rarely seen. Saucer is about 5.5" diameter, and painted various types of floral designs, including flowers like lilies, lily of the valley, roses, pansy (pansies), bleeding heart, lilac, dogwood, and more. Each cup is paired with a saucer, though not necessarily with the same flower. She even painted a fly on the bottom of one cup! Whimsical and amazing work. All cups and saucers are in excellent condition, no chips or cracks or repairs. Price is for one set, but buy more and I can combine to save on shipping. Perfect for our next tea party!  This is a wonderful, inspirational antique Victorian print. The scene features a sweet little girl kneeling down for what appears to be Morning Prayer. Her bedroom is beautifully decorated in beautiful Victorian furniture, linen, and flowers. This print is bright, vibrant, and rich in color. Through the window is a view of a large church and a little Robin bird perched outside, greeting the child. Rays of light shine through the window onto the girl, as a Bible sits beside her. The bottom left hand corner of this print reads, "Copyrighted by Geo Stinson & Co., 1878". The bottom right hand corner reads, "Published by Geo Stinson & Co., Portland, ME.". This print is in excellent original condition, except for a very small discoloration on the little girl’s nightgown and two little dots across from that. On the back of this piece, there are two nice old original boards, but with a small separation in-between. It appears that this small separation slightly exposed the print to natural, age-appropriate wear. However, these small imperfections do not detract from the magnificent beauty of this piece. The frame is original to the print. It is molded wood with original antique grained finish. The finish is rich in color with nice highlights. The frame is in excellent original condition with slight age-appropriate wear. Nice old, original glass, original wood backing, and old wire hanger. Circa 1878.  Approx 13" by 11" print, calendar girl style, shows a woman playing dress up with panties, a big wide brimmed hat, stockings and garters, high heels, jewels, etc...all in a humpback steamer style trunk. Fun and whimsical. Pretty blonde, circa 1940s-50s. Color print is bright and in good condition, ready to be framed. Slight wear to edges, but still nice and priced accordingly.  Approx. 10 1/8" by 9 3/8", handmade marquetry, wooden inlay, "Cardinals and Dogwoods" by William Bader of Asheville, N.C. Wall hanging, prob. dates to the mid to late 1900s, lovely work, excellent and original condition.

This is a lovely pair of antique prints featuring four beautifully attractive young women. Both pieces retain their original backing and a special, original label that talks about the hand-colored work, painted by a skilled artist. It also reads, "Sungott Art Studios, New York". Nice, old original, round brass hangers. This picture also features a rarely seen detail of the sneaky serpent who lurking nearby. In all my travels, I’ve never seen this exact print before, with just the little boy, which makes this piece all the more rare and special.. These are wonderful. This is a set of two wall plaques. They are made of a man made wood ( or brown plastic as we now know it ) by a Company called Syroco Wood Co. Syroco was founded in 1890 as the Syracuse Ornamental Co. by Adolph Holstein to make wooden decorations. In 1962, it began making wall decor products using molded resin. It added plastic patio furniture to its product line in 1986.

Tis is a very pretty wall hanging. It is done (I believe) in soapstone. It has a rose and a daisy and leaves on a branch done in porcelain. Attached to purple velvet attached in the back to the soapstone carved frame.

They are used. There is some damage to each one.

1. Peony, the damage is on the border.

2. Aged Pine, damage is on the boarder.

3. Wisteria, has the most damage like someone let t sit in the rain. But did not effect the colors.

4. Cottonwood, has a couple of small water spots and a crease at the top. Also does not take away from the picture.

The frames look like bamboo with a square frame around that with scalloped edges. Which are in great shape.

This is a very pretty watercolor. It is done in pinks, blues, lavendar, black, brown colors. It is a picture of a farm house in a meadow or trees. The signature looks like Bernice Landrum. Award winning artist Bernice Landrum is versatile in her use of both acrylic and watercolor media and techniques. Her rich jewel-toned paintings express vibrant contrast and strong elements of design. Bernice’s paintings range from the representational to the impressionistic and abstract. With her home in West Texas and a strong attraction to the Southwestern beauty in and around Ruidoso, New Mexico, much of Bernice’s work reflects the underlying colors, values and themes unique to this part of the world. I am not an art expert so if this information is not correct please let me know. Hence the price is pretty low.

Bernice is the recipient of awards from exhibits across the state and Southwest and her work can be found in numerous private and corporate collections throughout Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She is a past president of the Creative Arts Club and is an active member and artist-in-residence at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene.
