Stoneware Mug, Designed by Mara - Mexico. This beautiful piece of stoneware art is 5 3/4" tall. Mara is an accomplished sculptor, painter and ceramicist who studied engraving with the famous artist Alfredo Zalce. She also studied art in London and went on to study with the Italian ceramicist, Bruno Terese, in Italy. She has had numerous expeditions of her original stoneware pieces in Europe, the U.S. and Mexico. This piece, as are all her mugs, is fired twice at high temperature and finished by hand with a lead-free glaze. It is a work of art for the table. There is a pinhead sized manufacturer-done prick. it is in excellent condition. This mug currently sells for $36.95. i  Excellent condition. By the Light of the Moon.  This is a vintage 1951 print by Bernard Picture Co.

Beautiful deep colors with lots of dimension. The color palette is so unique, I would love to use these colors in a decorated room. Chartreuse trees coming out from the black background and various tones of pinks, blues, white and yellows. These vignettes were made to show beauty in the everyday life of what was exotic to us at that time.

Looks to be a combination process of silkscreen, air brush and hand coloring (watercolor). This is not flat, one-dimensional, like most of the air brush prints you see by Turner and Terone.

Mid-modern elongated Japanese couple wearing dramatic flowing garments that are highlighted with silver metallic designed. They are carrying a basket of bright yellow flowers and they have beautiful and serene faces.

Bernard is in left corner.

Copyrighted 1951 Bernard Picture Co. Inc. stamped on the back.

SIZE:

16" x 18"

CONDITION:

Excellent--I see no damage to colors. Usually the black backgrounds have scuffs but there is only very light wear on edges where frame was. No fading.

Guaranteed old & original.  24" x 18" x 13" Dual signed, terracotta, cold painted, Art Nouveau, beveled glass, vanity mirror. Signature appears to be Salisio, or Polisio? Your guess. High style Nouveau sculptural pottery piece.

2" x 2" Hand carved and appears to be a very old either ritual piece, or possibly candle holder. It is a tough call whether it is actually Chinese, as it shows both Asian & European characteristics. A great shot glass for that $70 tequila.  For sale an amazing collection of 27 late 19th century classical etchings & lithographs. Most around 17" x 11.5", two are double that size. Framed, these bring $150-$300+ each. Titles like;

A rare, rare opportunity  92mm x 14mm. Extremely rare, "A" grade gentleman's water & apple jadeite opium pipe stem. This is from an old collection & is dated from 1800-1850. Right in the middle of the opium wars. The former owner was a member of the Pennsylvania Mineralogical Society, & Leidy Microscopical Society, & was a Jade researcher & specialist. This would date from the earlier opium period, when it was still a pastime of the upper classes. A bamboo stem would have plugged into it, so the owners lips would never touch the pipe.  14.5" x 8.5" Vase, 27" overall. Large, nicely carved & well defined, late Qing, early Republic 4 panel Cinnabar vase mounted as a lamp. Excellent condition.

21" x 9" Strange bamboo flute from turn of the century Asia. Pretty much intact but missing the mouthpiece. Love to see this thing brought back to life.   18 x 12.5" overall, 7.5" x 3" Quan Yin. Early 20th century, Qing, or early Republic, bronze mounted rose quartz Quan Yin. Wire & plug date to about1920, so it's right on the edge of Dynastic China. Lovely piece, excellent condition.  1" x 1.5" x .75" Adorable 19th century bronze "opium" weight. Though more likely a trade weight, these are often called opium weights. This butt biting dragon dog, weighs exactly 65 grams.   38" x 12" x 10" Large poly chromed bronzed patina, die cast Don Juan. Marked Diev & Leroy. 1880ish, probably French.

Repair to up foot & tail, ear chip.  19.25" x 11" Fine, large & heavy wall, Meiping crackle floor vase. Showing slight penetration & a little age, probably dates from the mid 20th century. Excellent condition.  Vintage needlepoint kitchen picture. The picture reads: 'No Matter Where I Serve My Guests It Seems They Like My Kitchen Best'; ain't that the truth! No glass over the needlepoint. Backside has the original paper, and foil label: Field Art Studio, Berkley, Mich. Note the old State abbreviation for MI. This item is 16.25 wide x 15.25 tall and in good condition. 2/11brcs  Vintage Ceramic Wall Hanging, Yair Ceramic Art, The Three Religions of Jerusalem. This lovely piece of ceramic art is 5 1/4" in diameter. It depicts Jerusalem with the symbols of the three major religions and examples of typical Middle-Eastern architecture. There is a Jewish candelabra in the middle, a church with a cross on the left, and a mosque with a minaret on the right. You can feel them with your finger. There is a chip on the back but it does not affect the front decoration at all. It is otherwise in very good condition and a very lovely piece of decorative art.

Generally great condition, one small chip.   34 x 29.5" frame, visible image, 21 x 16.5" A young flapper girl feed the sparrows. Can't find my reference book, so I'm not sure of the name. Authentic Louis Icart Etching

Vintage Italian Murano Blue Glass Bubble

Astronaut, created by Max Papart, is one of the most sought after and most difficult to find among all the many Papart complex hand made carborundum etchings.

This large piece was the last one made in the limited production edition of only 75 pieces. All 75 were hand signed and numbered by Papart himself, and offer all of us a chance to see the man’s true genius at its very best. It is difficult enough for most of us to even begin to comprehend the many skills needed to create a work of art such as this one. For me it is a humbling experience to see this work close up and realize the unequaled mastery Papart possessed at the performance of all the many skills He employed in order to create this fantastic piece of art.

This work of art is professionally framed with an overall size of 26 by 34 and has been kept out of the sun and safe in this frame since the beginning. If you are a fan of Papart, then you know how seldom this piece is seen in any type of market place. I am placing a price that I feel is close to the true worth of this hand made combination of carborundum, dry point etching, textured, collage style effects and all done on hand made 100% Rag Paper made expressly for this Papart edition by Duchene of France. Please feel free to make an offer if you are not as inclined as I am in the belief that this piece is worth my opening price. It never hurts to ask. Even if you do not plan to buy this fine piece of art, you are always free to simply view and enjoy all the fine things inside our store.
