Weidlick Brothers was in business between 1901 - 1950 located in Bridgeport, Conn. This item is a wonderful Art Nouveau Cast Bronze Vase from around the late 1800's. This Vase is three (3) sided and has three (3) handles. Each side has a different cast figural scene of Fairies in a lakeshore setting. Each panel is signed J. Garnier. This ornate pewter platter was made by the German metal ware company B & G, which was in business from 1899 - 1910. Kaufmann Wilhelm Gobbers and Peter Bitter (hence the B & G)) marked their wares with the words "Imperial Zinn" and/or B&G.

This huge platter would have been used to serve game, and it measures 20 1/2" long by 11 1/8" wide. Fabulous pinecone motifs throughout, a highly detailed game bird in the center, and of course the ubiquitous Art Nouveau flourish at the top! Low gloss pewter, showing some heavy wear and knife marks. A beautifully designed and fairly rare piece of Art Nouveau metalwork. (#T-2103)

WOW what a find! This is a huge Art Nouveau Silver Plated Butler's Tray from International Silver Co in the Iris pattern. We believe this may have been produced as early as 1930 but we are erring on the side of caution and are listing it as produced in 1940. It is heavy and in good used condition for its age showing only a few tiny pit marks and light scratching which shows in certain light from years of polishing but only adds to its character. Wonderful Iris Handles on both sides for carrying. Marked on the back Silver Iris International Company 981. This planished (aka hammered) single handled pewter cake basket is Number 01491 and was made by Liberty & Company (England) for their line Tudric wares. Measures 9 1/4" in diameter and is approximately 5 1/2" high. Nice Arts & Crafts Movement design on the handle. Minor wear to interior of bowl. Generally very nice condition. Circa 1910. (#T-2031)

This hand made pewter tray is extremely well designed and executed. It blends Arts & Crafts Movement and the Art Nouveau style in its design. Measures 13" long by 6 1/4" wide. There is an impressed mark of an M and F, or it may be a conjoined T and F. In outstanding condition. My guess is circa 1920. (#T-1609)

Great design on this urn or vase, either made of heavy brass or out of bronze. Measures 4" high and 5" handle to handle. There are no makers marks. Age is unknown - my best guess would be circa 1920's. Pictured in Malcolm Haslem's book. In nice condition. (#T-1604)

Great pair of larger metal candlesticks made to hold pillar candles up to about 3 1/4". These stand 10" tall and have three clay feet at the base. No idea of age or maker - they look to be from the 1950's - but I'm not positive. Generally in very good condition. (#T-1823)

This item is a wonderful Art Noveau Bronze Vase made by Tiffany and Company of New York sometime between 1920 and 1933. This beautiful Broinze Vase has a wonderful original patina. It is about 10 and 1/4 inches high. The bottom of the Vase is marked Tiffany and Co and the number 1478. This Vase is in excellent condition with only one very small ding on the underside of the VAse. This small ding is not noticeable from the top or the side of the Vase and does not detract from the beauty and quality of this Vase. Neat conversation piece! This brass fishmongers horn stands about 14" high - the bottom diameter is 4". The top piece unscrews to reveal a duck bill type mouth piece. There's a dent in the brass about halfway up, and fairly even shallow pitting on the whole piece, the cap also has a small dent. Yes - it makes a great noise! (#T-1153)

The first is a shallow wine coaster with flower design all over. Marked " hand forged everlast" - this is aluminum and is 3 1/2" in diameter. The company was founded in 1932. In very nice condition. The second item is also a shallow wine coaster with mythical bird in the center and symbols around the edges. It is either peweter or aluminum and measures 3 5/8" in diameter - in very nice condition. The third item is a shallow tray with a porcupine and a crown on top. It has a wavy edge - 5 1/4" in diameter. Unmarked peweter or aluminum - from the Porcupine-Crown Mines - Ontario Canada, probably from the 1930''s or so. There's an 1/8" imperfection in the center of the porcupine's body - the metal has weakened there. (#T1345)

Outstanding Art Nouveau era piece signed F. Flora. At first glance, I thought this 23 1/2" Stand was a Ashtray but info derived from the prominent estate from which it was purchased referred to it as a Calling Card Stand. It would've been placed at the entrance of a business and patrons would place their Calling/Business Cards in the insert at the top. The insert has a tab handle on each side and can be pulled out. It has no place where a Cigarette or Cigar can lay at rest so perhaps the assessment of it's purpose is correct. I'm sure those of you who deal in these type of items would know for certain. The inside portion of the Stand is hollow. The Stand is made of what I believe is White Metal or what they refer to as Spewter. Research has indicated that the full name of the designer is Francisco Flora who was born in 1857 and did most of prominent works during the late 1800's. Overall condition of the piece is excellent. There is some slight wear to the patina on her face. Please note the different facial image of each side. Just beautiful and finely detailed. It's difficult to make out but the bottom underside has small letters incised what looks like EPres. Would make just a fine addition to any Art Nouveau collection. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance.

Made by WMF, Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik , this is a hot water kettle, on a stand, complete with lamp (which is the smaller removable round piece that sits at the bottom of the stand. The finish is brass and has a planished, or hand hammered, look. The bottom of the kettle is impressed with the WMF "bee hive" mark that was introduced in 1909. Below this is the number 108. The lamp is also impressed with the beehive mark and the number 24. The handle of the kettle has woven flat reed around it - there is one break in the underside of the reed (see photo). The entire piece stands approx. 14" high. Nice detail around the top of the body of the kettle - and a great impressed design on the three legs of the stand. One very small (<1/16") bump up on the lid, near the edge. Normal wear but no major problems. The entire piece is in generally very nice condition. (#T-1624)

This is a wonderful piece of pewter made by Orivit (Germany). Dating at circa 1910, this reticulated tricorner dish measures 7" across and sits about 2 1/2" high on its 3 molded ball feet. Between each of the "corners" is a flowing Secessionist type design - which moves gracefully into the bowl. Marked on the back (on the tip of a corner) " Orvit 2408 A". The condition is outstanding. (#T-1621)

Fabulous 2 piece set by Liberty & Company, London. Marked Tudric, each of these pewter pieces has a cobalt (dark blue) glass liner. I believe one is a mustard pot and the other an open salt. Both have a planished, aka hammered, surface. Both are stamped "Made in England Tudric Pewter 01381". circa 1910 Excellent condition. (#T1770)

This is a nice group of 4 small nut dishes made by WMF , Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik. All of the pieces are marked “WMFM I/O “. The I/O means that they have the “normal thickness” of silver plate. Each silverplate dish is 2 5/8" in diameter and has a leaf design inside it, and a crimped edge. All 4 are in nice condition, with some minimal age wear on the bottom and only the most minor of spots on them. (#T1767) An outstanding retro 4 piece chrome coffee service made by Farberware of Brooklyn, New York! Comes with a serving tray, creamer, sugar, and coffee pot. The set was never used, and the electric coffee pot still has the original paper label covering the interior basket, and the cord is still wound in the original pattern.

You remember how to percolate coffee, and how great that tastes?!! The tray, which does have some scratching, measures about 16 1/4" from handle to handle. The coffee pot has a nice lightly impressed wreath garland pattern - minor wear to the bowl under this (see photo). Displays beautifully! (#T1765)

Size: 8-¾ inches L x 1 inch W at the top of the handle.

Weight: Approx. 4 oz.

Condition: Very Good. Some wear consistent with age. This is a neat pair of pewter nut dished with figural squirrel handles. One is marked "Diller & Tornoe Pewter Denmark Backhaus" - the other is just marked "Backhaus Pewter Denmark" . They measures 3 3/4" from front to back and the squirrel stands 1 5/8" high. Shell shaped bowl. Wear is present but they both show very nicely. (#T-1762)

This bronze and enamel champleve vase is done in the Arts & Crafts Movement style. There are three oak leaves going around the vase, each connected to a heavy line from above. Coming off the sides of each leaf is a vine type decoration - which leads to a design of three seed pods. The body of the vase is heavily impressed with a bark like motif. Measures 8 3/4" tall; the foot has a diameter of 3 1/8". Unmarked, the enameling in the rust colored leaf is very worn, and there is minor wear to the other two leaves. This still displays beautifully. (#T-1753)

This is an outstanding piece of pewter made by Orivit (Germany). Dating at circa 1900, this teapot measures 8 1/4" high and about 5 1/2" at its largest diameter. Heavily pressed out designs of flowers, vines and leaves adorn the base - leaves flow upwards towards the lid. This has a black wood handle, and a spout that is the open mouth of a bird. Marked on the bottom " Orvit 2097". Condition: there is some minor and very shallow wear/pitting on one side, just below the lid. Shows light wear, appropriate for its age, without being too noticeable. (#T-1751)

Key Words: Art Nouveau, Jugendstil, Secessionist This is one of the most wonderful crumber sets I have seen. The tray has roundels pressed up and hundreds of incised lines that create a mountain type form. Almost looks as though it's a stars and mountain scene. Tray measures 9 3/8" across at its widest by 6 3/4" high. The accompanying tool is 10 1/4" long. Both pieces are signed on the back. The last name is "Du Mont" - the first name begins with a "P" - and may be Peter. Condition: 2 scratches on the tray (one is 1" long, the other 1/2" - and not deep) - normal wear to the back. Age is unknown. The craftsmanship is superb. (#T-1617)

This is a very nice jug made by WMF, Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik , in silverplate. This was either designed as a coffee pot or a hot water jug. This is 8 ½” tall (to the top of the finial), and has a base diameter of 3 ½”. The bottom is impressed with the WMF “bee hive” mark that was introduced in 1909. Above this is the number “105” and below the mark is “1 L”. The main body is planished and the rest of the metal is smooth. A nice graceful spout complements the piece. This is in good condition. There is a ½” x ¼” section on the handle (on the side of the top portion), where the metal is worn through. Surface wear is apparent, but this is still highly presentable and usable. An interesting piece from this great company. (#T-1614)

This is a funky piece of enameled metalware. It measures 7 ¾” in diameter, and was obviously designed as an ashtray. Lots of other uses as well - great decorative piece! This has a copper base with pink, purple and blue enamel colors in the background. The design looks like bar ware (glasses) and maybe vases, all done in a shimmery copper color. There’s a cool cherry in the bottom of one glass. No marks on the black and gray speckled enamel back. I suspect this is from the 1940’s. In nice condition - there is one edge chip on the right side (which can be seen in the photo), minimal surface wear. A great Art Deco look, or to go with your 1950’s decor! (#T1613)

Wonderful 2 handled dish or bowl, with reticulated edges. The sides have lovely carved out flowers (perhaps nasturtiums). The openwork handles are very nice as well. Made by Tudric, for Liberty & Company of London, England, this is design # 0287. Measures 11 1/8" from handle to handle, is 8 1/2" across, and is about 1 3/4" in height. There is some scratching to the bowl interior, and wear to the back side (which is not hammered). Generally in good condition.

Done in dark gray color pewter, this has the classic hand hammered look. Dating around 1910, this would work well with other Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts Movement pieces. (#T-1602)

An exquisite pewter tea set by Tudric of England, made for Liberty & Company. This 3 piece set features a teapot, creamer and sugar done in polished high gloss pewter. This design is attributed to Archibald Knox, and is number 01075. The teapot has a reeded handle, a wood finial, and measures approximately 5" high (to the top of the finial) - with a great bulbous body. This is almost 9" from the tip of the spout to the handle edge. The matching creamer and sugar have wide, thick handles and the same foot design.

The pewter has a wonderful patina, and shows normal wear marks for its age. There is a small indentation in the creamer, which is hard to detect (I've tried to show this in a close-up photo). All pieces are marked. Made around 1920, perhaps a bit earlier. A fabulous set in very nice condition! (#T-1601)

ART NOUVEAU METAL FIGURAL LETTER OPENER.

Size: 10-1/2 Inches in Length x 2 Inches W at the Hilt. A wonderful Dagger Form with lots of character and a lovely lady's face with flowing hair on both sides of the letter opener. Condition: Good. Nice patination. There are worn spots & small scratches on the metal. The letter opener has had plenty of wear and looks its age. The handle is cast at a jaunty angel. This is the way it was made. I have another identical piece which was made the same way. The metal is probably spelter with a brass finish. Art Nouveau Bronze Page Turner - Late 19th Century or Early 20th Century

Condition: Very Good.

Size: Approx. 9-1/2 Inches in Length x 1-3/4 Inches at the Widest Part of the Head.

Weight: 7 ounces.

This very attractive Art Nouveau has the classic style of a woman with flowing hair which extends along the turner for about 3 Inches. The woman's head is detailed on both sides as is the flowing hair. One one side of the turner there are the numbers 1623 stamped.

The patina is great! There are a few darker colorations on the turner which I have tried to show in the photos.
