This oversized 10 inch wide by 13 1/2 inch long book is entitled, Pinocchio Beloved Classic by Carlo Collodi. This is a complete, unabridged edition, 2nd printing, Deluxe Golden Book published in 1966 by Golden Press, NY.

Book is based on the famous illustrated classic written by Carlo Lorenzini in 1880, who signed his manuscript with the pseudonym, Collodi (the name of the village his mother came from). Born in Florence, Italy on Nov. 24, 1826 Collodi was a soldier, teacher and journalist. He edited newspapers and reviews in addition to writing many articles for adults and children. Of all of his writings, this is the book for which he is most remembered.

Pinocchio embodies the joys and trials of childhood. It is hailed as one of the true classics which has been told throughout many generations.

Book is illustrated in full color by Sergio Rizzato. Drawings are bright and vivid and the attention to detail greatly enhances the message the author is trying to convey.

Published by the Sleepy Hollow Press in 1984, this book is the first to include more than eighty photographs of Rockefeller, his family and friends, the Standard Oil refineries, and his homes.

Written by Jim Aylesworth and marvelously illustrated in folk art style by Stefano Vitale, this thirty-two page book helps young children learn their ABC’s while focusing on life experiences and culture probably quite different from their own.

Recommended reading for children up to eight years of age, the book focuses on the everyday farm chores, as well as canning, baking, quilting all in ABC context. The cover has some wrinkling, and the first inside page has a small tear near the bottom, but over-all the book is in very good condition without any writing or marks.
