Does college football get your motor running? Well, if you are a fan, this book is meant for you. In its 175 pages, with over 100 full color photos, this book profiles the greatest college football players as rated by ABC Television Sports.

Beginning with an introduction by Keith Jackson and a profile of what was thought to be the very first informal football game between Rutgers and Princeton more than 130 years ago, the book measures up the great ones at various starting positions, getting input from sports analysts and announcers. The back of the book includes highlights of noted college coaches.

You may not agree that John Elway deserves to be named the First Team Quarterback, for example, but the book will give you food for thought, and statistical data to support their top notch position players.

The book, published by Hyperion Press in 2000, is in excellent condition. The dust jacket has minor scratches, but there are no rips, tears or markings to the cover or any inside pages. The ISBN number is 0-7868-6710-8.

This is a wonderful book to read and to review all the oddities of early medicines. Prior to the 1907 Pure Food & Drug Act, there were all sorts of proclaimed doctors putting out concoctions called Patent Medicines. These were neither patented, nor most of the time, effective. These medicinal products carried the names of many quacks, and snake oil medicine men.

This 1961 book captures most of those early linaments, nostrums, and cure-alls in its 125 pages of words and black and white prints. As the title aptly says, One For A Man, Two For A Horse because a man needs just one bottle, but the horse requires two.

You’ll enjoy this book with its serious and humorous ads for medicine to cure what ails you. The dust jacket has a tear out at the bottom and tears to the top edge, and the blank page, inside the cover, has a light black mark at the top. The book binding and spine are strong, and there are no additional writings or marks in the book.

This 10 by 12 1/2 inch book captures in text and pictures the changing British scene. From the height of its Empire, when a quarter of humanity was British ruled, to the changes in government and the social scene, this book paints a picture of how 20th century history was affected beyond the English speaking world of British rule.

A photographic essay taken from museums, private collections, and archives to capture the flavor of the British Century.
