This is a collectors dream.  You learn the techniques for borders, flowers, figure piping, tube writing, gum paste, sugar mold, cookies, pastries, sandwixhes, petits fours, cream puffs, hors d'oeuvres, salads, desserts, spun sugar, pulled sugar and candy.  Has some staining but overall in very nice condition.   1961 Casserole Cook Book, plus One-dish meals, chafing dish and skillet meals, omelets and stews.  Published by Meredith press for Better Homes and Gardens. Hard cover book with lots of colorful slick page illustrations.  It starts out with cooking gear, pointers on use and care.  Casseroles, Skillet meals, Traveler's choice, Souffles and omelets, Chafing-dish classics, Chowders, soups and stews, Speedy suppers, Encore-luscious leftovers and Whole-meal sandwiches.  Beautifully illustrated with colorful photos.  Very nice condition with some slight wear at the binding an edges as would be expected from age.   1964 Famous Foods from famous Places.  Specialty-of-the-house recipes from America's leading restaurants back in the day.  Published by Better Homes and Gardens.  Excellent illustrations and photos from the 50's   It would be hard to think that you could devote a whole cookbook, 63 pages to nothing but Caesar Salads. But this wonderful book does just that. There are all types of Caesars from Mexican with Lime and Avocado to Caesar's with crisp Calamari and oysters. My favorite might be the elegant Caesar with Salmon and capers. This book is in MINT giftable condition.

Joie Warner's Caesar Salads Cookbook $9.00

This lovely paperback cookbook comes from the Shakertown reproduction village of Pleasant Hill Kentucky circa 1970. This is the 17th printing of 1994 and features the recipes that are served at the Trustees house in the village. I myself have stayed there and can attest to the wonderful foods and there reliance on fresh vegetables and seasonings.  The book has 75 pages.  This huge golden covered hardback cookbook contains 302 full color pages of the best of the Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks. It is in LIKE NEW GIFTABLE condition.  If there was ever a cookbook for Chocoholics, then this be it. The hardcover spiral bound book dates to 1989 and has 96 pages of delicious and decadent chocolate recipes. This is a wonderful gift for the chocolate lover in your life.  This large softcover cookbook hails from the Saturday Evening Post editors circa 1994. It is in great condition and features delicious high fiber diet recipes. The recipes feature tasty meals with less salt for a healthier diet. There are 108 pages.

The Saturday Evening Post Health Recipes $7.50

This large softcover cookbook hails from the television series Great Chefs circa 1985. It is in good condition with some light water staining and features recipes by Chicago chefs from their own very famous, restaurants.  This large softcover cookbook is one of a series of Oriental cookbooks  circa 1992. It is in excellent, giftable condition and a great beginning or intermediate cookbook for Thai Food. There are 95 recipes in full color with Chinese and English printing.  This medium size paperback cookbook dates to 1979. It was done for the American Cancer Society, Minnesota Div. and is a wonderful look at all the different heritages and ethnic groups that make up the Minnesota Landscape. There are American, Israeli, Native American, Scandanavian,Dutch and French recipes. And they all sound wonderful.  This lovely hardcover cookbook hails from the Seattle Junior League circa 2004. It is in MINT giftable condition and has 272 pages of incredible family or party recipes. The title of the book is Celebrate the Rain.

The longer I handle the cookbooks, the more I come to believe that there are cookbooks for every known food. This softcover book comes from the The Lindsay Olive Group and has 14 full color pages of olive recipes. There are delights such as Tomato Olive Fritatta and Grilled Salmon with Spring Vegetables.  This soft cover cookbook was one of a series put out in the mid 1990's on Best Recipes from various products and brands. This one covers easy dinners from Birds Eye Vegetables. This is a wonderful book with unique and wonderful recipes. It has 92 pages with full color pictures of the recipes.  This soft cover cookbook was one of a series put out in the mid 1990's on Favorite Brand Name Recipes from various products and brands. This one covers Grilling ideas from Kikkoman the soy sauce people. This is a wonderful book with unique and wonderful recipes. It has 95 pages with full color pictures of the recipes.  This soft cover spiral bound book was written in 1979 by the Fishermen's wives of Gloucester and the Cape Ann League of Women Voters. It has 185 seafood recipes of all types and kinds. There is even a section of wonderful sauces for seafood.

The Fishermen's Wives Cookbook $8.50

Lovely, Audubon's Birds book with the dust cover from the National History Museum Library from the Mallard Press. It is a selection of the magnificent illustrations of John James Audubon's 1st publication in 1827-1838. This book is copyright 1991 by Wordswoth Editons, Ltd. printed and bound in Hong Kong. It is a magnificent 93 page book in wonderful condition filled with Audubons beautiful work. The book is 14 1/2 inches high and 10 1/2 inches wide.  This hard cover cookbook is a perfect book to use with the children or an older beginning cook. It has all the things in it you learned in Home economics but forgot (like the temperatures of a slow oven (300-325 degrees)) and how many tsp is a grated peel of a lemon. (1 tablespoon). The recipes are very detailed with everything you need to know - no guesswork involved. The book comes from Farm Journal and has 253 pages. It is in very good condition and could be given as a gift.  This soft cover cookbook is not in great condition. It has loose pages and has been well loved. But that is for good reason. It is by far, the single best bread cookbook that I know of. It has 77 recipes for yeast breads to muffins to gingerbread, all of which are baked with good wholesome ingredients.  This large softcover cookbook was written in 1986 and by the editors of Sunset Books and Sunset Magazine. There are 96 pages of all types of chicken recipes.

Sunset Magazine - Fresh Ways with Chicke $8.50

This large softcover cookbook was written in 1954 and this is the version from 1985 by the editors of Sunset Books and Sunset Magazine. There are 128 pages of some of the best Seafood Dishes that I have ever had.  This large softcover cookbook was written in 1972 but is still a great cookbook to use and to peruse. Sunset cookbooks are a terrific collection of recipes and helpful hints. There are 96 pages.  This soft cover spiral bound cookbook was put out by Clemson's Margaret Morrison Elementary School. It is a great look at Southern cooking at its best. There are 86 pages of goodies such as Hot Chicken Salad Casserole, Rice Pudding and Frozen Fruit Salad.  This huge hardbound book is a fount of knowledge of healthy eating. In the mid 1980s when it came out, it changed the way people saw carbohydrates. It is still good information and great healthy recipes. It is in good clean condition with 696 pages. The dust cover is has some nicks but the actual cover looks like new.

This full color hardback cookbook looks like it is new.  This is the 1975 version, of the Better Homes and Gardens Home Style Cooking Cookbook. It has 96 pages of classic recipes such as Savory Blade Pot Roast and Kraut and Brisket and delights such as Banana Chocolate Cupcakes and Maple Sweet Rolls with Bacon.  This paperback book  is a wonderful addition to any cookbook collection as it addresses how to make your wonderful meals appear beautifully on the table. There are ideas for all holidays and special occasions such as a wedding or birthday party. The book has 142 pages.  This paperback book is a wonderful addition to any cookbook collection as it adds a whole new dimension using Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk. The full color cookbooklet has 27 pages of such delights as Baked Almond Pudding and Pumpkin Pie.  This huge hardback cookbook tells you everything you need to know about making and using pasta. Within its 440 pages you will find every recipe known to man for using pasta too. The book is in clean condition with some light wear to the dust cover.

This large hardcover cookbook is a withdrawn library book from 1993. It is a delightful trip thru Old New Orleans with visits to the great houses and their great cuisine. The book is clean with some wear to the binding. It has 175 pages and lots of color pictures.  If you are looking for the type of book that will be a true inspiration for your next party - then this would be it. The soft cover book has 241 pages of different buffets from varying countries and the appropriate appetizers. They are presented in full color with nice easy to follow recipes.  As happens with these old product guides and cookbooks, they get used. This one is very used with loose pages and very waterstained but still readable and usable. It is the 1937 catalogue of food spices and flavorings. This boxed set of 7 paperback cookbooks comes from Betty Crocker circa 1982. The topics are Meatless Main Dishes, Hors d'Oeuvres and Party Snacks, Fruit Desserts, Cookies, Cakes and Pies, All Kinds of Salads, Stews and Soups and go with Breads, and Casseroles and Range Top and Oven Meals. Each book as approximately 65 pages and is in full color in great condition.  This soft cover book was one of a series of Favorite recipes put out by different brands. This one covers Nestle's Tollhouse Recipe collection. Between these 32 full color pages are the most delectable treats. My favorite is the Chocolate Cheesecake, but you will find others just as good.  This fabulous soft cover cookbook is a collection of recipes over 60 of them, for different Pasta dishes. These are take offs on old favorites and are really yummy. The small book has 320 pages and full color pictures of each recipe.  This fabulous soft cover cookbook is a collection of recipes offered by the member of the Bitter Root Valley Historical Society to all Apple Lovers. There are 93 pages of just apple recipes and they are good. You will find things like Apple Catsup and 5 different recipes for Apple Butter not to mention the very best Apple Crisp ever!

 I love the old cookbook most of all. This one is from the Crescent Spice people of Seattle Washington. It dates to 1935 and has 180 alluring recipes for every day use. There are 32 pages of delights such as coffee cake, spice cake, and vegetable souffle.  This fabulous vintage cookbook set dates to 1946 . These are soft covers from the Occident flour people and cover some great great tips and techniques for baking. There are four soft cover booklets, One for rolls, one for cakes, one for bread making and one for party baking. Each book has 27 pages.  Betty Crockers Picture Cook Book, 5 ring notebook. First edition, first printing, dating back to 1950. Some wear to the page edges and the tabs, and the first page has been torn away from the rings. Wear to the back at the top where the spine is pulling away from the back cover. Priced for condition.

If your tastes range to simple rather than multi course complex meals, than this cookbook is a wonderful addition to your library. It features just Appetizers, Main Dishes and desserts.  My idea of the perfect meal. This is a hard back book with 249 pages featuring such recipes as Wolfgang Puck's Chocolate Cake, Boursin Style Cheese and Beef Stroganoff.  If you want to broaden your horizons and have a wide range of recipes available, then this 438 page hard cover cookbook is for you. Margaret Rudkin was the heart of Pepperidge Farm and these recipes are hers. There are not just baked goods here though. The main courses are superb as are the side dishes. Her Scalloped corn recipes is a staple at our Thanksgiving table.  This large hardback cookbook was published in 1983 and cost $17.95 at that time. This edition is in excellent condition with the dust cover and sells for half that ! The book covers the preparation of myriads of foods and is a classic for great eating. The book has 500 pages.  This large soft cover book not only shows you how to create some sensational cakes for kids, it even shows how the child may help. It is in full color with 48 pages of designs such as a clown,a snowman, a jet plane, a radio, football, truck and so many more.

This fabulous paperback book has 60 pages of some of the best recipes I have ever tasted. I have all of the Silver Palate cookbooks and never fail to garner compliments when using them. This one focuses on using oils, mustards, chutneys, vinegars, and other sauces in a wide variety of dishes. Their Raspberry Cream Sauce is to die for !  There are no better cookbooks than those which came with an appliance. This 21 page booklet from West Bend which came with its electric wok is certainly no exception. The dishes are wonderful and easy to prepare. The booklet dates to 1975 but is perfect for today's tastes.  There are no better cookbooks than those put out by Pampered Chef. The recipes always seem to work and taste stupendous. This 64 pages book from 1994 has my all time favorite recipe, the Turtle Cake and Lemon Dijon Baked Fish.  This small soft cover book teaches you everything you need to know to create super fondue meals. It comes from Beth Merriman, who was the editor of Parade Magazine's food section for many years. The recipes are fairly easy to create and still after all these years, delicious. The book has 93 pages.

Be sure and try the Chocolate Nutmeg Roll. There are 96 pages with lots of colored Pictures.  This soft cover cookbook features all types of flour based recipes from cookies to bread to pies, cakes and more. There are 63 pages with terrific baked goods and some pictures.

They are in good condition and all intact. Some age yellowing to the pages and some staining on one but great stories of the war times in the 1940's. As found.  This is a wonderful cookbook from the editors of Favorite Recipes Magazine. It covers recipes for incredibly rich and wonderful desserts. Within its 95 full color pages are recipes for such delights as Caramel Layered Brownies, Almond Buttersctch Brittle and Hot Fudge Sundae Cake.  This is a wonderful cookbook for a look back at how the Victorians would have celebrated the Christmas Holidays. The softcover book gives menus, recipes and stories for a complete look at the times. There are 37 pages.  This is a wonderful cookbook from the editors of Favorite Recipes Magazine. It is the cooking class series and covers recipes for Breakfast and Brunch. This full color softcover book has 93 pages of recipes that would delight nearly any palate. There are foods such as Seafood Crepes, Ham and Cheese Enchiladas and Orange Currant Scones.
