Robe description: Era - 1940's Label - Odette Barsa Bust 42", Length 38" Fabric - Ecru nylon lace over pastel blue taffeta Measurements - Shoulders 16", Bust 40", Length 39" ~ no size tag but the lady was petite, small framed, so I'm guessing it's Small. Classic style of robe by Odette Barsa, the ultra-feminine housecoat is fully lined with pastel blue lining and topped with ecru lace of a rose and bow design. The collar has two rows of lace; the sleeves and hem has one row of lace with wide pastel blue satin ribbon woven around the sleeves and down the length of the front with snap closure at the collar and a pretty blue ribbon to tie in a bow. The Gown Description: The pastel blue gown is trimmed in the same ribbon and lace as the robe. The lovely nightgown is made of one layer of nylon ecru chiffon over a lining of blue nylon. The same ribbon arrangement circles the neckline and picks up at the bottom for that special look. At the top there is a matching triple flat ribbon. There is a row of lace running from the top of the gown to the bottom. Matching lace trims the hemline. Era - 1940's Label - Odette Barsa Fabric - ecru or peach nylon with blue nylon lining Measurements - Bust 42", Length 38" Provenance: This item was an estate sale buy. According to a relative,the lingerie belonged to her age 90+ years old aunt and was part of her trousseau when she married in the 1940's. She lovingly kept it tucked away, securely wrapped, to preserve it. It is indeed, like new, with absolutely no flaws. The Odette Barsa label was formed in 1943 and continued until some time in the 1960's, Odette Barsa was a front runner in leading fashion trends and first started designing lingerie in the 1930's. She was known for her integrity, quality, style and elegant fashions. Her designs were often categorized as glamorous and represented what was called the original "Hollywood" lifestyle. The line was sold exclusively to up scale department stores throughout the United States and is of utmost high quality. To own an Odette Barsa is truly a rare find! The designs are very fancy and so romantic.  Three unused packages of Sears 1960s seamless sheer nylon hosiery stockings, each with three pair inside. All are size 10-1/2. Two packages are "Sunset" color, one pack is Beige. The tape at the bottoms of two packages has come unsealed but all contents are present and in mint, unused condition.  Three unused packages of nylon hosiery stockings from the 1960s in sizes 10-1/2 Medium/Tall. The Hanes are Thigh His with elastic tops, reinforced toes, and nude heels. The color is called South Pacific, size is stated as Medium Tall, fitting 5'6" to 5'8". The Cannon "plain seamless" stockings are in a shade called Nutra, size 10-1/2 Medium. The third package of nylons doesn't seem to have a brand name, but there are 3 pair inside in size 10-1/2, color neutral beige. The packages do have some storage wear, remnants of old store price stickers, and may have tiny tears or holes but the nylons inside are in mint, unused condition.  Three unused, unopened pair of seamless micromesh nylon stockings by Caprice, all in size 11. Color is not stated on the packages, it appears to be a medium beige or taupe, neither super light nor dark. Printed near the tops of the stockings is: Seamless Micro Mesh 400 Needle First Quality 100% Nylon Made In Yugoslavia RN 35886. They have reinforced heels and toes. The packages do have some storage wear, remnants of old store price stickers, and may have tiny tears or holes but the nylons inside are in mint, unused condition. Based on the illustration of the woman on the package, I'd say they date to the 1960s.

A lovely, nice quality vintage rayon half slip in solid black by Artemis from the late 1940s to mid 1950s. The label says it's a size 30- measuring 13 inches wide at the waistband (unstretched), by 29 inches long. The slightly full 4-gore skirt ends with a flouncy six inch ruffle trimmed with black lace. The bottom hem of the slip is 30 inches wide where the gathered ruffle is attached, width is about 40 inches at the lower lace edge of the ruffle. The slip is in clean, excellent vintage condition with no tears, damage, or stains. The creases and wrinkles visible in the second photo were created after I hand laundered the slip and folded it into a storage bag - they are not set-in or permanent.  This is a beautifully made vintage black nylon half-slip with beautiful ruched nylon trim with lace. Elastic waist. Measurements are: Waist:30" to 36" Hips:Up to 40" Waist to hem: 24" Remember that for a vintage look. the slip sits at your natural waist--somewhere around the bellybutton. For contemporary wear, the waistline is generally dropped. So measure where you actually want to wear it. Vintage 60s Full Slip SoftPink Sears "Doesn't Slip" 38L This vintage 60s soft pink full slip from Sears is called a "Sears Doesn't Slip" on the tag. Also on the tag is Sears size 38 Average --based on bust measurement and average height. I measured the slip, as well, for a good fit for you. Bust: 38-40 Waist Area: 34-36 Full Length: The slip can be adjusted to measure 36-40"from the top of adjustable slip straps to the bottom lacy edge. Made of a lovely soft pink 100% Nylon "Anti-Cling," this demure full slip is in like new condition, with functional straps and pretty little buttons on the bust which are reminiscent of fine evening lingerie. The pretty pink lace edge on the bottom of the slip follows a 12-inch slit up the front, allowing for freedom of movement. For Collectors, this is a good find, as Kovel states that Sears and J.C.Penney's slips from this era are becoming quite collectible.  I was drawn to this pretty little ruffle. On closer inspection, the top row of the double elastic is slightly stretched out. It was too late. I was already in love with that pleaty little flirty ruffle. And the unusual periwinkle blue color just happens to be my favorite blue. So I had to have it. I'll list--reflecting in my price the fact that its not perfect. But I guess that depends on your point of view! Measurements: Waist: 28"-30" Hips: 38" Waist to hem: 25.5" Made by Vanity Fair Care: Machine wash, dry low. Remember that for a vintage look. the slip sits at your natural waist--somewhere around the bellybutton. For contemporary wear, the waistline is generally dropped. This "half-slip" is made of soft pink nylon with white peek-a-boo lace between the slip and a flirty pleated flounce--which has its own little row of lace for a finished look. I have measured this slip for a good fit. Remember that for a vintage look. the slip sits at your natural waist--somewhere around the bellybutton. For contemporary wear, the waistline is generally dropped. So measure where you actually want to wear it. Where its worn changes the size--Medium if worn dropped to hips; Large if worn at the natural waist. Waist:34-36 Hips:46-48 Waist to hem: 29"  BUST 28 INCHES A lovely peach silk brassie and pantie set from the vintage 1920s. Delicate but still wearable with care. Not for use over and over. Tiny bra with an undercage of 25 inches. Pretty design on undie leg. Stretch waist. Hook and eye bra. No label. Barely fits this mannequin. Please measure yourself or know this is for a collection only. CONDITION: VERY GOOD BUT DELICATE AND SOMEWHAT FRAGILE. WAIST HAS SOME STRETCH PULLED. TINY HOLE AT BOTTOM CROTCH AREA. NOT BAD. Three never used pair of vintage seamless nylon stockings, all in size 9-1/2. Two are Faultless brand, marked "400 Needles - 15 Denier, 100% Nylon RN 13855, Seamless Microfilm 9-1/2". Both are a suntan color. The third pair is a similar shade with a bit less red, marked "Steinbach, Micro Film Seamless, 400 Needles 15 Denier, 100% Nylon RN 13855, 9-1/2 Medium". Note that all have the same RN number, perhaps made by the same manufacturer. The stockings are folded onto stiff paper and wrapped in their original tissue. There is a box bottom with split corners but no lid. All three pair are in excellent condition with no snags or damage.  These never-used crochet mesh lace gloves are apparently one-size fits all, there is no size tag. They are attached to cardboard hand shapes and have the original Aris hang tag which is date coded for 1981. The off-white gloves are about 8 inches long unstretched. No stains or problems, they'd be ideal for wedding or bridesmaid use.  Highest quality Nightgown satiny smooth and soft, Size Large, Bust area measures about 46 and about 50 inches long  Satiny soft luxury nightgown, Size medium, Bust measures 36 inches and 50 inches long not counting straps.

This light coffee-colored (cappacino!) nylon slip made by Carol Brent was a perfect solution for the new, short dresses of the late 1960s. Many of the dresses were made of voile, chiffon, or other transparent materials. Slips were the order of the day. Modesty prevailed and these short bra/slips were the answer!
