It has a carving on the front:

PASSION 1910, though I am unsure if it was made in 1910 or made to commemorate that date.

The box is solid wood and hinged with a painted crarving on top that looks like some sort of nuts or even pineapple. Measures 3.5" by 2.25" deep and 1.5" high. Stamped on the bottom from the country of origin, but I cannot make out the stamp....could even be Russian. I found it in France.

Excellent condition, great piece!

VINTAGE HAND CARVED EUROPEAN WOODEN HING $29.00

Wonderful vintage circa 1960s commemorative pendant in goldtone metal in a heart shape, 1.5" by 1 3/8". Martin Luther King on one side and Robert Kennedy on the other. Faux pearls and red rhinestones on the border, missing a few stones, easily replaced if desired. Black and whit photos set behind domed glass on each side.

Piece shows some wear, but nothing too serious. A terrific piece of memorabilia from a memorable time. These used to be plentiful but are now fairly difficult to find.   This is a very old all original celluloid pinback of the state symbol for Delaware. Delaware became a state in 1776, just two months after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This was made too late to be a Centennial commemorative piece, but a banner at the bottom of the image says "LIBERTY and INDEPENDENCE". It measures about 7/8" in diameter and has a "SWEET CAPORAL CIGARETTE" Ad on the back. It also says "BUTTON MADE BY WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK NJ, PAT'D JULY 2, 1884?".

The pin shows some aging and browning, but still it is in very good condition for a Victorian era pin back, and it is a terrific collectible if you collect memorabilia from US States!  Measuring 2 7/8" in diameter, this souvenir piece dates to 1945. On one side is a relief of the bust of Franklin D Roosevelt with the dates 1882 and 1945, and on the other side is a relief of the Little White House with "WARM SPRINGS GEORGIA" under it.

In very nice condition, the heavy copper finished piece would make a great addition to any collection of coins and exonumia!  Cocojoe Hawaiian Lava Figurine King Kamehameha. Excellent condition figurine made in Hawaii by Cocojoe, incised on the bottom copyright 80, logo and #134. Just about 8" tall.

1899 Home of Princess Kaiulani Hawaiian Print. 15.5" x 10.5" print 1899 by the Thompson Publishing Co, Manz Engraving Co. Home of the Princess Kaiulani, Honolulu, reproduced from Colored Photograph by the New Colortype Process. There is a clear sheet of paper attached to the bottom of this print and below is a rough edge as it seems to have been taken out of a portfoilo or book.

Very interesting early 1900s souvenir spoon brooch pin, nearly 3" long, brass, "C" clasp, hand painted enamel bowl with a scenic Miami motif. Miniature painting. Shows a Miami ocean pier lined with palm trees, ocean and sailboat in the distance. End of spoon has a fleur di lis design.

Very good vintage condition, unpolished, warm patina, very different, one-of-a-kind.  Vintage 1960s souvenir plate of Atlanta, Danish made, decorative only, holes in back to hang, 7 1/2" diameter, back of plate states:

MADE IN DENMARK

EGEMOSE DECORATION

MENSTRUP PR. HYLLINGE

Plate has a wonderful design in charcoal grey showing the Atlanta Stadium in the center (it has been torn down in the past few years), plus Stone Mountain, the "Jet-Age Airport" (it later became Hartsfield Airport and has since been renamed from that), the State Capitol, the Henry Grady Monument, the Legend of the Dogwood, Battle of Atlanta, and at the top, a lightpost with The Eternal Light of the Confederacy above it.

Honestly, I am from Atlanta and have been here my entire life, yet I've not been to most of these places.

Plate is in excellent condition, no damage or repairs, graphics bright, ready to display.

A little about the stadium:Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, sometimes erroneously referred to as "Fulton County Stadium," was a multi-use (baseball, football, soccer, rock concert, revival meeting, and monster truck) stadium that formerly stood in Atlanta, Georgia. Completed in a then-record 50 weeks for $18 million, it opened in the spring of 1965 as Atlanta Stadium. It was intended as the home of the soon-to-be-relocating Braves, but court battles kept the team in Milwaukee as a lame duck for a year. So the new stadium had a lame duck of its own for that first season: the Atlanta Crackers of the International League, whose previous home had been Ponce de Leon Park at 650 Ponce de Leon Avenue. In its first year it also hosted Atlanta's only Beatles concert, August 18, 1965. In 1966, both the NL's transplanted Atlanta Braves and the NFL's expansion Atlanta Falcons moved in. In 1967 the Atlanta Chiefs of the National Professional Soccer League (reformed as the North American Soccer League in 1968) began the first of five seasons played at the stadium. [1] In a move intended to acknowledge the financial contributions of the taxpayers of Fulton County, the stadium's name was changed to the hyphenated Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in 1976, the same year that Ted Turner purchased the Braves. [2] The Falcons moved to the Georgia Dome in 1992, while the Braves had to wait until the Olympic Stadium from the 1996 Summer Olympics was transformed into Turner Field to move out at the beginning of the 1997 season. The stadium sat 60,606 for football and 52,007 for baseball. The baseball competition for the 1996 Summer Olympics was held at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.

Apprx 6" long Great Smokey Mountains souvenir from "The Loop", circa 1920s-30s, bakelite figural key, marbelized orange black swirl, originally a thermometer, thermometer no longer present.

Overall good condition, no damage or repair, other than thermometer missing, it is original.

Priced accordingly.

More about this piece, which is the emblem of the city:

Karlsruhe [ˈ ka ʀ ls ˌ ʀ ː ə u] is a district town in Baden-Wuerttemberg, the seat of the government district Karlsruhe, the Upper Middle Rhine region and the region of Karlsruhe. Historisch ist Karlsruhe Haupt- und Residenzstadt des ehemaligen Landes Baden . Historically Karlsruhe headquarters and residence of former Baden. Die Stadt wird im Norden, Osten und Süden vom Landkreis Karlsruhe und im Westen vom Rhein begrenzt, welcher hier die Grenze Baden-Württembergs mit Rheinland-Pfalz bildet. The city is in the north, east and south of county Karlsruhe and to the west of the Rhine limited, which is the limit of Baden-Wurttemberg with Rhineland-Palatinate. Karlsruhe ist nach Stuttgart (etwa 75 km südöstlich) und Mannheim (etwa 60 km nördlich) die drittgrößte Stadt des Landes Baden-Württemberg und hat eine Fläche von etwa 173 km². Karlsruhe is to Stuttgart (about 75 miles southeast) and Mannheim (about 60 miles north) the third largest city in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg and has a surface area of approximately 173 square kilometres. Seit 1950 ist Karlsruhe Sitz des Bundesgerichtshofs und seit 1951 des Bundesverfassungsgerichts , weshalb die Stadt den Beinamen Residenz des Rechts trägt. Since 1950, Karlsruhe headquarters of the Federal Court, and since 1951 the Federal Constitutional Court, which is why the city the nickname seat of justice.  Lovely antique souvenir spoon. Measures about 5" long. Ornately decorated with the raised design of Independance Hall, the Liberty Bell, and 1776. Embossed "Pennsylvania" on the top. Even the back is decorated. Stamped "Sterling" with the maker's hallmark on the back. Also "PAT. 1891. Nice Victorian spoon! EXCELLENT condition, no damage or repair. Any clues on this maker? Would love to hear from you if you're familiar with it.   This is a nice brass and enamelled piece that may have had a pin on the back originally...now it is a medal or medallion without a loop or attachment. It measures about 1 1/4" by 7/8" and says "BELGIQUE BELGIE CONGRES DE LA ROUTE WEGENCONGRES" (Literal Translation: CONGERS OF THE ROAD). It was purchased in France, but it is Begian and on the back it says "BRUXELLES 1935 BRUSSEL".

Evidently this was a commemorative piece from a a road being built...any ideas are appreciated! It's written in Dutch or Flemish and French. A nice memento of history, this art deco era piece would make a nice brooch to wear or enjoy as it is.

Superb collectible spoon commemorating Rhode Island. Measures approximately 6" long. Stamped "Wm Rogers & Sons AA" and also "PAT FEB, 23, 1915".

Lovely state symbols include an eagle, an anchor, and folliage that looks like wheat. On the back is a USA state shield emblem. Very patriotic.

Excellent condition, minimal wear. No damage or repair. Sold unpolished, as found.  Just back from an incredible international buying excursion, I will be listing some great items of jewelry and collectibles over the upcoming weeks (and months). I was lucky enough to acquire some terrific and diverse items sure to appeal to anyone wishing to expand their personal collections!

This was purchased at an open air market in the Netherlands. Originally made in the USSR, the wooden statue or sculpture stands about 6 5/8" tall and 6 1/4" long. I am unsure of its exact date, but it appears to have a few years on it.

Carved by hand, this is made of a light colored wood and has nice detail. Depicted are two men, one with a pipe in his hands and the other what I think is a fishing pole between his feet. Each man has a mustache and is wearing hat. On the bottom is a sticker that says "Made in USSR Artikulas P 8/336"

Brimming over with personality, the two men are carved from individual pieces of wood that fit into the base. It's in excellent condition and free of damage or repair. If you collect wooden items, sculptures, carvings, or European items, this is not to be missed.  A lovely depiction of Western Americana during the days of the Wild West and Conastoga wagons. High relief wall hanging is made to look like hand carved wood, but I believe it is actually a material called "Burwood" which is pressed from a composition like material. This piece is the nicest such example I've ever seen. It measures about 16" by 8 1/2" and probably dates back to the 1950s or earlier.

The lovely scene shows a woman in prairie clothes (reminds me of "Little House on the Prairie") sitting in a covered wagon with two other people or family members and a man walking alongside. Another wagon is in the distance and four oxen (ox) are in front pulling the vehicle.

The attention to detail is amazing with the relief of the piece deep and nicely done. It appears to have been hand painted with green grass and trees, a blue sky, and brown wood and mountains in the background. Even the woman's skirt is painted red and the bonnet on her head is white to match her apron.

The rustic scene is in very nice condition, minor wear to add charm and authenticity as illustrated in the photos. A sturdy and secure wire is attached to the back making this ready to hang with other Western motif items including cowboy collectibles. No damage or repair.

Charming miniature silver spoon marked "STERLING" on the back. Measures about 2 3/8" long (photos enlarged to show detail) and has an insignia on the front, probably gold filled or even gold, marked "COLLEGE OF WILLIAM & MARY 1693". Nice condition with no dings or dents, only tarnish, easily polished if desired.

Straight from my private collection exclusively to the internet comes this wonderful Egyptian memento!! Measuring approximately 7 inches high including it's oval alabaster base, I'm not sure of the date, but I estimate it to be from the 1940s or 50s.

Made of a kind of metal with a copper overlay, this Egyptian figure may have originally been sold as a souvenir. She wears a traditional headress and stands perched balancing on one leg (a new yoga pose?); the figurine is attached to the alabaster base with a flat head screw.

In excellent condition, the figurine all original and without damage or repair! The metal does have slight wear adding to the patina, charm and authenticity. Surely a welcomed addition to the most advanced of collections, why not add this one to YOURS today?  Apprx 2 1/2" long, stamped sterling silver, front says Souvenir of New York, mid 1900s, unpolished, good vintage condition.  Purchased in Europe in Belgium several years ago, apprx 5 3/4" long, carved wooden dutch style shoe, hand painted with a windmille and "Bruxelles" (French for Brussels) on it. Hole to house a thimble, original pincushion worn, but intact.

Very cool old piece, probably late 1800s to early 1900s. Handmade, good vintage condition.  Apprx 2.5" diameter and 3/4" high. Lovely miniature box, Belgian souvenir that I purchased while in Brussels Belgium a few years ago.

Circa 1890s-1900s, Victorian, Edwardian era, lovely design on the top of the Hotel de Ville in Bruxelles (Brussels). I was there in person and words cannot describe what an amazing site this is to behold.

Excellent condition, wonderful European piece.

A little about this building:When entering the Market Place from one of the seven side-streets, one's eyes are drawn automatically to the gothic tower of the town hall pointing skywards. Up to this day the "Hotel de Ville", or "Stadhuis" is considered to rank among the most beautiful city halls in the Low Countries.

The construction of the building represents the growing power of Brussels as the capital of the Dukedom of Brabant. Until the end of the 14th century some small wooden houses and inns used to stand on the site where later the town hall would be build. Because of the growing importance of the city, the administrators decided to buy these old houses one by one, demolish them and build a new town hall that would match the city's need for a large administrative center. The first stone was laid in the spring of 1402. This original town hall (which is now the left wing) was completed in 1405, together with a small tower. The architect is believed to be JACOB VAN THIENEN. However, on March the 3rd 1444, the original building was extended with a smaller right wing, which was ready in 1449. In that same year the architect JAN VAN RUYSBROECK built the tower that still crowns the building today. This extension of the town hall was a result of the rivalry between Brussels and the neighboring city of Leuven. Leuven also aspired to the title of 'capital of the Dukedom of Brabant' and had therefore constructed a massive and extremely prestigious town hall (which still is the most beautiful one in Belgium and worth a trip).

Very good piece, excellent vintage condition.

A little about Ripon from the internet:

teeped in history, the ancient City of Ripon is home to one of the oldest Cathedrals in England dating back to the 7th Century. It boasts many charming buildings within delightful streets and maintains a variety of old traditions. There are numerous places of interest, including craft and specialist shops and Ripon is also within easy travelling distance of Harrogate, Leeds and York. The Ripon Racecourse calendar hosts popular race days throughout the summer. There are also many festivals and the market square provides a perfect venue for regular cultural and fun events throughout the year. The city is bounded on one side by the magnificent Yorkshire Dales and on the other side by the atmospheric North Yorkshire Moors. There is an extensive variety of leisure activities in the area and the landscape lends itself to most outdoor pursuits, ideal for gentle walks with the family or for the more energetic, running, cycling and rock climbing.  Apprx 4 3/8" long, amazing detail, figural arc de triumph on the end, twisted stem, good condition, unmarked, appears to be a nice silver plate. Circa 1920s, 30s.

Good vintage condition with some surface wear.   Wonderful antique dated 1928 brass or bronze souvenir calendar. Apprx 3 5/8" by 3", hand hammered look.

It's a perpetual calendar to adjust to any year. It has a shield in the center with a raised relief from Cleveland, Ohio showing the Terminal Tower.

Very cool. Nice warm darkened patina, would be perfect except that the little piece on the back to make it stand up is no longer present. Otherwise in very good vintage condition. Nice art deco desk piece.

Delightful, excellent condition.

Direct to the internet comes this brooch commemorating Quebec Canada. Measuring approximately 2 5/8" by 1 5/8", this lovely piece dates back to the late 1800s to early 1900s and has definite art nouveau lines.

The brooch is incredibly detailed and beautiful. It is an unusual shape with a shield piece seperately attached in the center. It is marked "STERLING" on the back of each piece, and the sheild has the name "QUEBEC" and the following:

Fringes are intact on both ends. No repairs. Colors are natural white wool, red, gray, black and purple. No spirit line openings. There are a few thread ends(I don't know how else to describe it) which have pulled up but could easily be fixed if desired by a reputable textile conservator or good drycleaner. Hawaii Souvenir Photoviews include Waimea Canyon, Haleakala Crater, Iao Valley, Cocoanut Island and more senic views in this vintage photo package. Undated, Circa 1940's or earlier.  This pipe holder is very unusual and rare. Have not seen one quite like this. Dates to about the 1920s or 30s. VERY COOL old souvenir piece marked from Daytona Beach, Florida. It is made out of what I think is BURWOOD, a compositioin material made to look like carved wood. It is a Native Indian Moccasin, and on one side it says 'Daytona Beach', it is hard to read in this photo, but showing the side with the writing anyway. Showing the bottom also to show the age. Very different, and very detailed!! In very good condition for it's age, the bottom shows some wear, but no major cracks or chips.  Wonderful old pinback with billowing flag. Old glory is in vibrant colors with a green background. Excellent detail and condition, Originally manufactured in Chicago Ill by GEPAGHTY & CO. This was a UNION Made USA piece, probably circa 1900-1930s.

This is a quaint pillbox from the 1950s or 60s that was probably a souvenir from Rome, Italy. It is a gold tone metal and a Victorian revival style. On the top is a plastic oval with a transfer picture of the Roman Colliseum. It opens on a hinge and shows some surface wear. In good condition, this would make a nice holder for your pills.  This is a heavy solid brass memento of the 1952 Coronation in which Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth. I think this was part of a horse's bridle, but I'm not sure. If it isn't equestrian in nature, I'd love to know its original purpose.

It's in excellent condition with a nice patina and a smooth feel. Royal watchers and collectors of Royalty memorabilia will love to add this to their collection.  LA HULA RHUMBA HAWAII SOUVENIR PHOTOGRAPH - sepia photo of folks from the 1940s, above them hang Hawaiian paintings, outer folder "La Hula Rhumba, 744 Lunalilo Street" 8.75 x 6.25".  Vintage Real Photo Postcard, "Pineapples at Harvest Time- Hawaiian Islands", excellent condition, unused.
