The God is well attired and the two fish he is holding as well as his clothing are nicely detailed. Both the front and back are nicely detailed. Japanese Lacquer panels painted with flowers. Pre-WWII.

These two laquer panels, on wood, are each 7 inches wide by 20 inches long. They are hand painted with flowers, and are from Japan before World War II.

On the backs, 10-1/2 inches from top and 9-1/2 inches from bottom, along the sides are two screweyes with an old wire attached for hanging.

There are some chips along the edges, and a couple of fine cracks in the laquer on the fronts. Still great vintage pieces.  An very unusual piece of carved Chinese soapstone with beautiful color. The plaque is intricately carved with trees, leaves and berries and a single animal, which are all carved in high relief from a single piece of soapstone. The plaque is rather flat (~¾ inches in thickness) and fits into a carved brown soapstone base. Condition is excellent with only a minor (barely visible) chip to a leaf. The back of the plaque has a small hole in it that looks like it was intentionally made. Height of plaque in base: 9¼"; width in base: 5½".  Antique Chinese soapstone vase with intricately carved leaves and berries with a few animals hidden amongst them. The naturally mottled soapstone has a nice blend of colors (brown, beige, rust and black). The vase is attached to a brown soapstone base and the condition is very good, except for the tips of a few leaves, which have been damaged. This vase is usnusual both in color and the type of carving on it. Height: 8½".   Happy looking Chinese "God of Longevity" in nicely carved greenish- beige and rust colored soapstone. This vintage carving is well done and quite attractive. Great color! Height (including black wood base) is 7¾ inches. Another matching Chinese God figurine is also available (see second picture) and is listed as item #KR008B.

THIS IS AN UNUSUAL ANCIENT CHINESE CARVED JADE BURIEL PIECE. IT MEASURES 4 INCHES FROM THE TOP OF THE CORAL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE JADE. PLEASE BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL THE PHOTOS.  This Black on silver & bronze Cloisonné vase is about 8” tall by 4” at it’s widest point. There is a small spot of discoloration and a small enamel chip both of which I’ve tried to show in the pictures. Neither takes away from this nice piece. This piece was purchased in the late 70's for $200.00, the old price tag from the jewelry store is still intact.

Here is another wonderful 20th C, plum blossom design, Cloisonné lidded box. It measures about 3½” tall and 3” in diameter and has “China” embossed in the enamel on the bottom. There is some slight damage to the inside of the lid which I've shown in the pictures.     This 20th C pill-type Cloisonné box is decorated with the “great wall”. It measures about 2” long, 1” wide and ½” tall. There was a paper label on the bottom but someone has pull most of it off.

THIS PIN CERTAINLY HAS A GOOD LOOK. IT IS COSTUME AND THE SETTING IS GREAT WITH THE DRAGONS. IT MEASURES 2 1/8 BY 1 5/8 AND CAN BE WORN AS A PIN OR PENDENT. REGULAR PRICE $35.00. #4999  THIS BEAUTIFULLY CARVED IVORY PENDENT MEASURES 2 1/4 BY 1 1/2 AND AS YOU CAN SEE THE FLORAL CARVING IS LOVELY. IT COULD BE HUNG FROM A CHAIN OR A BLACK RIBBON, AS IT PROBABLY WAS AT ONE TIME.  Interesting champlevé lamp that rests on a wooden base. Most likely this was originally a 19th century champlevé urn that was converted into a lamp many years ago. (There are two smooth areas on the central bronze panel that appear to have been where handles had been applied) These seem to have been professionally (?) removed and filled in. The designs on the champlevé are rather unusual and are repeated around the circumference of the lamp. The bronze on most of the lamp is smooth with a nice patina and as can be seen in some of the pictures , the top band of bronze is not smooth but has a repeating design. The urn itself is ~12" (H), the base is 1½"(H), and the height to the top of the harp(without finial) is ~ 22".  This bronze and champlevé double-handled urn/vase has a wide central champlevé band, with a central medallion depicting a Ho-Ho bird, and this is surrounded by a floral design on a turquoise ground. All the enamel is in very good condition and the patina is lovely. An exceptionally attractive late 19th century urn! 12" (H).
