Peoples Republic of China, Cultural Revolution period. 5 authentic bookmarks with revolutionary content. 3 are commemoration the founding of the Communist Party 1921. 7. 1. One shows the revolutionary hero Lei Feng (雷锋) and one a quotation by Chairman Mao. All 5 are in fine condition.  China, 1960-70s: 2 Chairman Mao badges with a portrait of the Chinese leader Mao Zedong. One is made of porcelain, diameter 1,8 inches (44 mm), red propaganda slogan at reverse. One is a pot metal with a Faux Guilloche enamel treatment on the front of the pin. Diameter: 1,8 inches (45 mm). Very fine condition. At the back are 4 lines with characters engraved, political slogan and referrence to issuer. 1968)  PR China, Cultural Revolution. 3 authentic buttons (badges) with portraits of Chairman Mao (毛泽东像章). One is made of porcelain, two are red/gold pot metal with a Faux Guilloche enamel treatment on the front of the pins which make the buttons flashy. 2 have characters at the reverse. The one with the catapillar is scarcer. It has been issued by the Revolution Commitee of Ma An Shan Town - 马鞍山市革命委员会. All are in fine condition. Diameter: 1,6 – 2,1 inches.  PR China, Cultural Revolution. 3 authentic buttons (badges) with portraits of Chairman Mao. One is made of porcelain, one is enamelled and shows Mao Zedong with a hat, posing in front of factories and one is a red/gold pot metal with a Faux Guilloche enamel treatment on the front of the pin which makes the button flashy. 2 have characters at the reverse, one at front. The brown one, from Hefei, is missing the needle, otherwise they are in fine condition. Diameter: 1,6 – 2,1 inches.

Authentic photo print, Mao Zedong and Peoples Liberation Army soldiers, clapping hands. 5,9 x 7,9 inches. The photo has been displayed in a kind of touring exhibition in several Chinese communities. Minor creasing at the lower part of the margin – the photo is fine though.  Chinese vintage postcard with cruel scene from the Revolution 1911-12. 2 cents coiling dragon stamp, tied by Hankou cancellation. LUTAI cancellation at reverse. Unused postcard in fine condition.  China 1960-70ies. Authentic photo print, Mao Zedong sitting on a sofa in his library with lots of antique books 6 x 8 inches. At the left lower part is a small, more detailed map of Jiao Zhou area. Published by Brockhaus in Germany in 1902. 6,1 x 9,8 inches, vertical cantre-fold, fine condition.  Peoples Republic of China, Cultural Revolution: Fine porcelain badge depicting Chairman Mao Zedong. Produced by Jing De Zhen factory – who was the sole producer of China during the Imperial times. The pin shows a portrait of Chairman Mao Tse Dong in military outfit. Revolutionary slogan at back. Diameter 41 mm ( 1,4 inches). Fine condition.  China, Beijing: Vintage postcard after an oil painting by Carl Wuttke. It depicts the watch tower in Peking. Unused postcard in fine condition. . Carl Wuttke ( 1849 - 1927 ) was a famous German painter.  Fast Indigo Blue: Decorative vintage advertising print from old China, app. 1910. Lithograph, depicting Chinese men with pigtails in traditional costumes and a boy, as the paint to dyed textiles on a string. The inscription is in Chinese and in German. The company was: "Actien-Gesellschaft fuer Anilin-Fabrikation, Berlin", their agent in China: Carlowitz & Co. Size: 5 x 3,8 inches ( 13 x 9,7 ). Fine condition, very scarce.

At the front side we see pedestrians, bikers, wheel borrows, rickshaws at the bridge. At the flip side is and advertisement for Medol-brand, a remedy for dog’s diseases such as reuse. Deutsche Marine Schiffspost No. 23 23/1 01. Tear at the upper right edg, minor aging. Scarce. Fine condition.  Old China: Color postcard depicting 2 Chinese ladies, smoking opium. The postcard has been published in China and has Japanese and Chinese inscriptions. The postcard has a fault at the left side margin and the left lower corner has a light bend.  Old, Chinese lithographed advertising from the early 1920s. Part of the border and pattern in gold-print. The image depicts Chinese kids in their typical costumes, having fun. Size: 6.1 x 8.8 inches. Very fine condition. It comes from a well protected collection of early Chinese advertising samples.  North- & Central Asia Overview of Russian Empire. Decorative, engraved, very detailed old map from 1893, covering the Russian Empire with Siberia down to Turkestan, Persia and Afghanistan at the west and Tibet, Chinese Empire and Japan at the east. Size: 18.8 x 15 inches. Vertical centre-fold, a 0.8 inches tear at lower part of the centre-fold. Minor toning of the paper along the margins. All in all fine condition with fresh colours. Published by Gotha: Justus Perthes Johann Georg Justus Perthes (1749 - 1816), was a German publisher and founder of the firm 'Justus Perthes Geographische Anstalt Gotha' in Gotha.

The postcard has been sent San Francisco to Lower Austria in 1906. Peoples Republic of China 1965 – 1974: 5 different cereal vouchers in denomination 0.1, 0.5, 1, 3, 5 pounds. During the Cultural Revolution Period in China people could only buy cereals like rice, when they produced such coupons. Even in restaurants rice was only served for vouchers. Authentic items, different grading.  Joseph Stalin Portrait: Strange piece from the time of the Cultural Revolution in China. Embroidery ( silk ) from one of the most famous weaving mills in China, Hangzhou. Size: 3,5 x 5 inches plus margins. The embroidery has been fixed in a frame so there are bends and some stains along the margin ( can be fixed by ironing it ). Fine condition, quite scarce. Josef Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili, Ioseb Besarionis Dze Jughashvili; Russian: Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili, (1878 –1953), better known by his adopted name, Joseph Stalin (alternatively transliterated Josef Stalin), was General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union's Central Committee from 1922 until his death in 1953. Stalin's increasingly gained control of the Party from 1928 onwards and finally became the de facto party leader and the dictator of his country, in full control of the Soviet Union and its people. His crash programs of industrialization and collectivization in the 1930s and his campaigns of political repression cost the lives of millions of people. However it helped industrialize the Soviet Union making a Great power by 1931. By 1937 the Soviet Union had become the second largest industrial nation in the world. Under Stalin's leadership, the Soviet Union played the decisive role in the defeat of Nazi Germany in the Second World War (1939-45) more commonly know as The Great Patriotic War in Russia and post-Soviet republics and went on to achieve the status of superpower, expanding its territory to a size similar to that of the former Russian Empire excluding most of Finland, Poland and Alaska.  Old Chinese vintage Postcard from 1901: " Their Sunday Best". b/w vintage postcard with image of a Pailou ( Gate of Honor ) in Beijing. German Post in China – Peking 1907 - cancellation. Sent to Mr. Knorr, a German Oboist who served in the German 4th Company of the 3rd Sea Battalion in Qingdao. Scarce „ Stab der Gesandtschafts Schutzwache Briefstempel „ strikes at flap side. ( Staff of the Embassy Security Unit Postage Stamp ) Slight tear at lower side, darker part at the lower part of the back side.  Chinese vintage postcard from the time of the Boxer Rebellion. It shows a part of the Imperial Palace and view at the so called Coal Hill. It was sent Peking to Palermo in Italy. Stamp missing ( oval shape cancellation, 1901 July 22.  Antique map of Canton in South China and the region along the Pearl-River. It covers the area from Canton at the upper part down to Macao and the southern islands. At the upper right is a small map of Canton. Printed in Leipzig / Germany in 1902. Size: 6.5 x 9 inches. 3 small tears at the left margin otherwise clean and fresh.  Ca. 1880: Etching depicting the Imperial Summer Palace in Peking. Participants of the procession at the Summer Palace hold fish symbols in the air – the symbol for prosperity. At the rear we see the Marble Boat. Etching by J. Pappel. Size: 11.4 x 7.8 is the complete sheet, 6.2 x 3.8 the actual image. Minor wear of the margins, fine condition. Looks great when matted and framed.
